Response: The mason jar stamp is from Close to my Heart, but it was a Stamp of the Month and isn't available anymore. I think I remember seeing a smaller one through Paper Wishes. I'll message you if I can find it.

Comment: I did have to pay a little surcharge of postage due to receive your ATCs, but I will say they are beautiful!
Response: I'm so sorry that it arrived postage due! I have my envelopes checked at the counter at my post office, but sometimes not everyone at the postal service agrees about the cost.... Maybe the envelope was too thick. Again, I'm sorry, and will send you something extra to make up for it if you like. Update: I sent an extra ATC on 4/17.

Response: The paper on the background of the ATC was from Graphics 45, but I don't know who made the other papers. I've been collecting paper for 15 years, and have lost track.

Comment: My oldest son was born in the Bellefonte hospital in 1961 - I'm sure that place is gone by now! I went to Penn State and lived in State College for several years after I graduated. That area has really changed over the years! Finding words to write poetry with in credit card junk mail sure was harder than it sounded like it would be! It was fun to do, though. Thanks for the extra ATC! Very nice!

We have an American Eagle Foundation, up here, in Haines, that rehabs eagles, owls, ravens, and other raptors. I was able to visit the foundation on my way south, and became a lifetime member. Response: The stamps are actually from the American Philatelic Society. Their national headquarters is here. They have Open Houses occasionally and give out those little packets of stamps. We can swap again sometime soon. Let me know when you want to set it up!

I'm waiting to find Tim H's Eiffel Tower stamp set on sale or at store when I have a 40-50% off coupon--I've been getting his more generic ones since they have a bit more versatility that the French set. But I can read French haltingly--and pretty well if it is about literature, etc. since that makes it easier for me to use context clues. Hope you are having a good Saturday! It is gorgeous here--sunny, big Texas blue sky (it really is different--and I'm not a big fan of all things Texas!) The card and envelope you sent it in will have to get recycled into something in the near future lest they actually get put away and I forget I have them! Thanks--more swaps between us I hope!

Comment: Nice idea for the card. If you can get some acrylic paint you can get some good textures - also watercolour paint with bits of salt dropped on while it's wet is something worth having a go at! Came in a cute little owl envelope, very apropos!

I think my favorite thing of yours, was the flower pendant and the altoids tin. They are great! I'll probably use the tin to bring notions (like embroidery scissors, darning needle) with me in my knitting bag. :)

Comment: So, actually, the skirt comes to my ankles, and I think that's how long it's supposed to be, and I love the color! I do technically know how to sew but really don't enjoy it. Comment: Thanks for the clever ATC. As for quilting, I started my first quilt in 1975. I can't tell you how many I have made since then. I machine sew them together and at one time, I had them machine quilted. These days, I just sew the tops and stack them up !!!!!!

Comment: Beautiful ATC's. As for quilting, use good material. Use paper and crayons to create quilt paters. Never lose any thing. Look for material at estates sales and thrift shops. Just small tips. Make pot sholders to test out new skills. Just a few ideas for you to muddle over.

Comment: Thanks for the great book. Your card and your book came the same day. I always thought that media mail was very slow, which is why it was cheaper. But both got here together. Thanks for swapping with me. Yours will be coming soon. :)
Response: Media mail is only slower if there is a lot of mail, because it gets loaded on trucks last. So it's sometimes slower, but often not. Anyway, I'm glad you liked it and it arrived promptly!

Comment: Thanks!! You did a great job with your first matchbox! If you want to get rid of the red, wrap one long piece of paper around it, instead of cutting 4 separate pieces. And make it just a bit bigger than the box and trim after you've glued it on.
