Comment: You are right - you had a great concept!!! The colored pencils look nice and I like how you got the glow from the sun and the moon reflecting onto the tree. Nice work! It would be fun to see what it would look like with watercolor. Too bad you didn't have watercolor pencils, then you could color it in like you did with the colored pencils, but then go over it with a small wet brush and easily get the watercolor look. There is ALWAYS more supplies that we could own. Ha!!! AND we ARE so much alike in so many ways. Wish we lived closer to each other :-)

Hmm, as far as advice for expressive eyes, I really think about what my own face is doing, and what my eyelids and eyebrows are doing when I made a face. I am told by my husband that I make a lot of exaggerated expressions with my own face, though. I am beginning to believe him, too, because I am starting to notice that quality in my two year old. I actually find it to be quite adorable.

I bet that wind chime inspiration is gorgeous too, if this ATC is any indication :) I really love the way you brought it together and made the background look like bark. How did you crackle it like that? Thank you for such a beautiful piece! I am inspired to try something like it in one of the upcoming colors!!! Wish I could give you more than one 5 and heart.
Response: I'm so glad you like it! For the crackle, I coated the card with glue, then painted with acrylic paint while the glue was still tacky. The paint dries faster than the glue - causing the crackle. I love the effect too! Thanks for the heart!

Comment: This ATC has to be one of the nicest I've received so far and thank you for the elephant on the front and the bling(you can never go wrong with bling).
Snow already I love snow but I hate the inconveniences i will not drive in snow as I don't feel safe so I have to then reline on lifts and public transport which can be a pain when your used to the Independence of driving but then again I'd rather be safe than sorry.

Response: I'm so glad you like it! I actually used my kids' finger paints - two colors of blue. I swirled them around and then scratched around with the wooden end of a paintbrush before the paint dried. I have to admit it was too fun! Thanks for the heart!

Don't know how old your kids are but for the long winter months you might think about buying some composition books and have each child make a gluebook. If they are older they could make their own SMASH books. It would be something you could do together.
Response: They've made ATCs with me a couple times - but want me to draw it so they can color it in. I'll try glue books. (They're 6,6, and 4) Usually, they can't sit still that long! LOL! School is helping that, so we'll see what the winter brings! Thanks for the tip and the heart!

I was actually still able to read much of it pretty well. I'd figured that I had totally forgotten that skill!

It is hard to have a sick kitty but I am sure she will go on to live a wonderfully full life. I would say that Madelyn Rose and Sweet Clementine returned your greeting but Rosie just turned her face away because she did not give you permission to speak and Clementine went to stalk a magpie. Ivy Lu on the other hand sends her felictations to you and yours. Tiggy and Griff wanted to know if there were any treats involved, so I gave them a milk-bone and they said hello as well....

There is a family that has lived in our neighborhood for years (I live in the woods on 3.5 acres), and they go back and forth between all of our houses. A few weeks ago one of the yearlings knocked our bird feeder to the ground and broke it to get to the sunflower seeds - little troublemaker, lol! We love them... Response: Thanks! I'm a '68 baby, so only sort-of experienced the 60's myself. I always loved the colors and designs for 'flower power'.

Comment: ...I am still figuring out what I'm doing too. I agree wish the same tools could work on paper and fabric. I sew but I'm not sure how to do fabric ATCs that are more than collages.
