Comment: Oh my goodness, opening your package completely made my day!! I loved sifting through the shiny paper to find all the little vending machine treats and extra goodies you sent my way! You sent so much and everything is so cute! Thank you so much!!
Comment: Thanks for the SF card, Megan. I love that city, but boy, has it gotten expensive. As a travel agent last week I was trying to find a Union Sq. hotel for a client. At $360 a night, what I found for this gal was a shared bath. Ugh. thanks again for the great card!
Comment: Thank you for the great postcard! I enjoy caves too even though I can be claustrophobic. I used to love going to see Cave of the Mounds in Wisconsin which isn't far from my hometown before I moved. :)
Comment: Thank you so much for a lovely card! Another maneki neko enthusiast eh!! I want us to keep in touch . What's more, My Melody stickers.! What a nice touch. I think we would get along! Thanks again!!
Comment: I'm right there with on spiders. If they're outside I don't care. During the summer my husband goes out along the porch to remove the webs once a week. THEY GET SO HUGE! But they catch the bugs we hate more. I just want to open the door and go on the porch without walking into a web is all. Indoors I clean up every web I find and kill all the spiders that had the audacity to invade my home.
Comment: doing something good for others is always something to brighten the mood, I bought a pearl necklace for my friends birthday a few months in advance and the wait was worth it to see her face when she opened the box, I love seeing happy faces of friends, if its over coffee/tea, lunch, or a more formal event, its always worth more than anything material.
Comment: Thank you for the interesting card and quote. I did not remember that George Eliot was a pen name. I remember reading Silas Marinar when I was in school but with that being over 50 years ago I don't remember much about it.
Comment: Megan...thank you for the beautiful gardening PC. The author you mentioned is not one that I have read...thanks for sharing... I'm always looking for new author recommendations. Enjoy reading...Charlene
Comment: Hi Megan! I am sorry for the late review - I just found your pc in the woods behind our mailbox! WTH? Not sure how the heck that happened but I was not a happy camper about it! Sigh! I agree about the telemarketers - I know they are just doing their job but when I tell them to take us off their list and they call again - grrr! Hope your job search is going well! Happy Easter! Hugs and Happy Swapping! ;)
Comment: Omg when I got your card it brought tears to my eyes. I have friends effected by daca.so this moves me. Also its sooooo true. I'm reminded of a like in a poem ... When we discovered life on another planet it was a woman and she built a bridge not a border... So what I wish was happening. That may be 1 of the reasons I love swapping internationally as we are all building a bridge of kindness through art. Thus card was the very best love love love it, wish I could give more hearts. O BTW the poem is called she inspires me by Denise Froham she is a wonderful spoken word artist I in courage you to look up the poem on YouTube :)
Comment: Megan, I absolutely love the postcard you sent to me! The musical ghost standing over the man with all those instruments playing is hilarious! Thanks so much for a card that will definitely go into my collection!
Comment: Thanks for the great sunspot card, Megan. I always thought sunspots were what caused our navigation system to go kaflooey once while sailing in the Caribbean, but I guess technically it was the associated solar flares. Thanks for sending the card in an envie. Love the stamps you used too -- both postal & rubber!
Comment: Thanks for the Williamsburg card, Megan! Your postmark was from TX - have you been to Colonial Williamsburg? I took my older son there when he was still in elementary school (so over 20 yrs now already) and we had such a great time. He may have liked Busch Gardens there even better (for the rides) but it was a great trip for both of us - so much history there.
Comment: Thanks for this beautiful Albuquerque, NM postcard. I have been there twice, once in 1991 and second in 2013. Both times to see my best friend. My favorite artist, Geninne Zlatkis, lives in NM. Hugs from Alaska, Sherry
Comment: Thank you Megan for sending me a "lucky flower" PC for the swap. Thanks for the lovely quote. Roses are my birth month flower. I call the Roses images PC you sent me "lucky" as the roses depicted in art are beautiful Elizabethan old roses. Happy February!
Comment: Hello Megan,
Thank you for the wonderful postcards you sent me that fit into 5 of the categories of the Postcard Seek & Find. The postcards will be a great addition to my Postcard Collection. I also appreciate the postcards to color that you sent along as extras. I love to do these and they are a great addition to my Collection. I enjoyed swapping with you.
Comment: Thank you for sharing such detailed answers to all of the questions, Megan! And I was especially impressed at all of the different books you used as your answers! (Because though I read 248 books in 2017, I pretty much used the same book in nearly every answer of mine!) :-) Thanks again for sharing! â¤
Comment: Thank you for the SciFi postcard. I haven't read that book but will check it out. I'm always looking for new authors and books. Thank you so much for the awesome stamps, especially the HOCKEY stamp! So cool, I love it!!! It was very thoughtful of you to include that for me. :-)
Comment: I agree with the part about life being rather easy when we were young, I wish someone would pay my bills today as well! I like doing Landry bit hate doing the dishes :D I love sleeping in and I thrive on milk, hello fellow milk lover! :D thanka for sharing!
Comment: I just watched Mulan a couple of weeks ago! What a great movie to rewatch when you're a bit older. I don't know if I am down with all of these live action versions of classic cartoons, but I'm sure they will make a great deal of money off of them either way, because everyone will watch them including me, ha!
Comment: Hi Megan, wow I really love the PC you sent. Coyote and cacti :) There are no coyotes on Vancouver Island BC , where I live but they are a bit of a bother over on the mainland. Happy summer swapping. Blessings of peace love light.
Comment: Thank you for your answers to these questions, Megan. You made me wish I had remembered to differentiate memoirs from biographies on that question (#22), as I've read some fantastic memoirs (are you familiar with Jenny Lawson? Her Let's Pretend This Never Happened and Furiously Happy are most excellent!), while the biographies I've read have mostly left me feeling depressed. Also, somewhere in here you mentioned And Then There Were None...Have you heard the audio? Dan Stevens does an EXCELLENT job with that book, I thought. :-) You also had a few things where I was all, "Me too!" Like needing absolute quiet to read. Oddly, though, I CAN read when outside my home, in waiting rooms or restaurants, with lots of people and/or TVs. I don't know why, but it's easier to tune them out when I'm outside of my home. Anyway, thank you for sharing!!!
Response: I'm glad you liked reading my answers! Both of Lawson's books are on my TBR list - I've heard she's very funny. I did listen to the audio version of And Then There Were None and promptly fell in love with Dan Stevens' voice!
Comment: Hi Megan!
Memorial Plaza and Museum is an amazing, humbling place. Ive been there a couple times, both times unique experiences! You'd think that since I live here, I'd have seen this PC before but NO! I havent! It's a new one for me! Thanks bunches!!
Comment: I love the rabbit card you sent to me. I am working on making stuffed rabbits for my Etsy shop for Easter. Your quote is so true. I always say "The idea is the easy part" it's getting them all accomplished that is impossible. Like minds think alike. Have a great 2017.
Comment: This lumberjack is easily in my top 10 postcards I've EVER received. Thank you so much for such a great one. I love his tiny coffee cup. I guess I need to look at postallove again soon. I don't remember this one, but it has been a while since I got anything from them. Great stamps too!
Comment: Thanks for the very pretty kitty. I can't believe you have 5 cats! Are any of them lap cats? I have one and his name is Earl. He's named after the tea "Earl Grey". He's a beautiful silver grey color and is such a lover bug. :) Thanks for swapping with me.
Comment: Thanks a lot for your swap! I love Agatha Christie as well, my favourite by her is the death on the Nile, I love the Poirot tales :D And I did not know Stephen Colbert wrote a book! Will have to look out for this one! Thanks!
Comment: Thanks so much for the re-send! Love the vintage Atlantic City/railroad pc! Thanks for taking part in my swap, too. :-) P.S. If the first pc ever does belatedly show up, I'll totally send a pc your way to make up for the extra!
Comment: Thanks for a great choice for a book-related postcard. I haven't read much of H. G. Wells myself and I'm ABD--Alll But Dissertation for a doctoral degree in literature. As I went further with my courses, I began selecting those that were most significant to my potential dissertation topic. and several were focused on a single author as a "seminar" that met one day only for 3 hours in afternoon, and Wells was never one available and his is a bit different in fiction genre than I was specializing in. I should probably take a look at his work.
Hope you've had a good weekend!
Comment: Love the pc! Thank you! I recently read a picture of Dorian grey by Oscar Wilde and loved it. I am also reading more classics and I'm finding it totally worth the effort. Also, it's always nice to meet another MST fan!
Comment: Thank you for bearing with me, Megan! I got your re-send just in time for Halloween so the spooky Hello Kitty stickers were really appreciated. An extra special thanks for the teas and postcards you included as well. Have a lovely weekend xoxo
Comment: Thank you! I could tell you looked over my profile because of the stickers you chose. The funny thing is that I have some of those exact stickers! And I wish everybody paid that much attention to their partners' profiles.
Comment: Ahhh! Thank you for making me laugh and for teaching me something new (I had no idea Ms. Taintor was a native New Mexican :) -- I love her saucy, vintage-inspired work. I was just admiring the 2017 wall calendar at Barnes & Noble yesterday morning. One of my favorite images is a birthday card featuring a smartly-suited woman and the caption, "Old enough to know better, too young to give a ...." Hope you are having a good week!
Comment: I thoroughly enjoyed the postcard you sent (with the Galileo quote). On that note, I had to chuckle at the elemental tiles as I considered what it would be like if the sun really were comprised mostly of sulfur, uranium, and nitrogen X) Fall has hit full force here in Oregon, as well. My favorite time of year! I love my drive home in particular... everything that was once green is now bright red and orange.
Comment: Thank you Megan for the Map, State Flag, State Bird postcard from New Mexico you sent to me for the swap! I live in a small town too. My family did drive me thru to see our city Orlando. Hope you have a happy October month to come!
Comment: Thaaaaaank Yooooooou!!! <3 You really went above and beyond! I can tell you took the time to read through my profile, the stickers you've chosen for me suit me PERFECTLY! I really appreciate the thoughtfulness you've put into a simple swap ^_^ makes it quite memorable and uplifting! Thank you so very much, tons of hearts your way!!!
Comment: Hi Megan! Thanks for the great Alaskan pc! I have never been either but it's also on my bucket list as I have heard how amazing it is - who knows maybe we will get to visit at the same time! LOL! Hugs, Happy Traveling and Swapping! ;)
Comment: Thank you Megan for the lovely art horse postcard. Found the artworks to be very interesting! Your sharing of the book that you are almost done with sounds fascinating and will have to see if i cant pick it up and read it too! Happy Fall to you!
Comment: Belated thank you for the delightful red sailboat card, Megan! I am grateful for snail mail, books, TV programmes, film, and newspaper articles to bring the world a little closer :) Hope you are well!
Comment: Thank you for this lovely Tangled card -- it is a favorite of mine, and I was a bit sad to send it until now :) I love that Dickens quote, which reminds me of a similar-sentimented G.K. Chesterton quote. I will also need to finally watch the Tangled short film/sequel! Hope you are having a good afternoon! <3
Comment: I love this postcard! The birds are just beautiful and fun! And should not be caged! I love that quote from King and love the story as well! Thank you so much! (Toured The Stanley Hotel last week while on vacation. One of the inspirations for Stephen King's THE SHINING. It was pretty awesome.)
