Comment: I love seeing happy mail from you...... you always do such a delightful swap.... I love your presentation on them. Love the cute envie/sleeve and for always looking at your partners profile. 5+ ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
Comment: OMG. I don't even care that it was late. Definitely one of the best swaps I've ever received... Like top 5. Perfect. Just perfect. It is rare that opening a piece of mail makes me that happy. Thank you!
Comment: Thanks for the great review. You did a great job, and thanks for no spoilers. I have this book on my TBR pile. I really need to read it. Your review has made me think to move it up to the top of the books to read next pile. Thanks for the extras. I do appreciate the participation. It is like being in a book club but without the drama.
Comment: WOW! What a beautiful package! I love the insert and can not wait to use it!!! (Graph is my favorite format, too!) I won't say how long I tried to pull the insert out of the pocket before realizing it was part of the cover. ;-) Beautiful, beautiful cover! Thank you so much! I hope you'll join future TN swaps!
Comment: Thank you for all the bookmarks and the stickers! My daughter and I were giggling because a bookmark I sent out over the summer for this swap, has now made it back to me! LOL! Our library had a Banned Books bookmark made for the summer reading program, made by a local artist! I had given them all away and didn't keep one, so now I've got one! Love it! It's awesome how that works out :-) Thank you again...my daughter already went in and stole some, as always. Happy Holidays!!!!!!
All my best, Kerry
Response: How funny! You know, I've had some things come back to me as well and it's such a pleasant surprise! I'm glad you liked the bookmarks!
Comment: Thank you Mimi for the envie of purple delight. It's a nice change of color with all the fall colors that are fading away now. The purple washi is very nice to have, I have only one roll of purple, been needing some.
Comment: Thank you for the note & goodies. I actually missed the Wicked special on NBC. I found out it was on, with 2 minutes left. I cried. I can't find it on demand, but forgot to look online. I am so jealous that no only have you seen it once, but you are about to see it TWICE! Yes, Defying Gravity & Popular are the names of the songs. I have the soundtrack and so I almost always play it on my iPad ♥
Comment: Hi Mimi, thank you very much for your letter. I really enjoyed reading about you, your family and furries and about your reading too of course :). Thank you very much for nice bookmarks, I really like them. Great quotes :).
Comment: I hate to sweat too, but I do love the outdoors, clumsy as I am! Im a Spring/Fall/Sometimes-winter-if-there-is-no-snow-or-ice kinda gal. I could pass over summer. I do love a nice summer sunset, though! Thanks for the note. :D
Comment: I used to love Six Flags as a teenager. Had season passes for quite a few years because my parents would go to the concerts every weekend. Got season passes a few years ago with the Mister and I loved it but BOY did I not miss those lines in that heat. Thanks for the letter!
Comment: Love all the washi samples and the extras!! The bright samples actually look like Starburst candy and good enough to eat! I liked your Swap Card too, may have to look into making some for my own! Thank you!
Comment: This sounds like a fun series--I hadn't heard of it before. I love mysteries and funny fantasy--like Gaiman, Pratchett and Christopher Moore, so I think I'll give this one a try. Thanks also for the bookmark.
Comment: Thank you for the book review. i absolutely love how you imagine the cast, must be like watching TV in your mind. very interesting. i can't imagine any real life actors when i read books. i am definitely going to read Eleventh Grave in Moonlight by Darynda Jones as the storyline is somewhat similar to Anita Blake Vampire Hunter by Laurell K Hamilton.and i will try my best to picture kristen bell as the lead character! 😍
Comment: Thanks for the stickers and the current notecard. Haven’t seen current in a long time and didn’t even know they were still around. U have awesome handwritng and I envy that. My dad just had knee surgery and I gotta go to one of his friends funerals tomorrow so sad. Anyway have a good day. Mindy
Comment: it was so nice to get your journal (again). it was great reading all the entries since the last time I had it (Oct 2017... LOL ). So much has changed for me so it is going to be great to do an "update".
Comment: I got your card and it's covered in writing and I got excited lol. Not many people fill up all the space to write & also loved your cursive! Thanks for the book synopsis- makes me want to check it out!
Comment: Your reading list was really interesting. I love that you had the descriptions of the books--I didn't think of that! I want to read the two books at the end, the mysteries, but of course our library system doesn't have them. Now I can be looking for them when I go to thrift shops and library sales and such. And I totally get the "mood" reader thing. That is what I usually do myself! This is my first time really making a list and trying to stick to it.
Comment: Wish I could give you more hearts but.... Wow thank you for all the wonderful things you sent me and such a nice variety.I had so much fun going thru everything!Thank you for such a lovely box of goodies!!!!
Comment: Hi HI Mimi! Its been fun crossing paths with you! Your card was awesome and it sounded like an awesome time on the 4th. I hope the 5th was awesome as well. The extra goodies OMGG Its so me and I love them so much!
Comment: Hello Mimi! Thank you so much for your cheerful note and all the lovely goodies you sent to fulfill this swap! It did, indeed, bring a ray of sunshine to me today. I really loved your sweet note and I'm crazy for the stationery. Thank you so much for joining and for sending such a lovely parcel.
Comment: I was delighted when I opened this wonderful envelope. The cards are absolutely wonderful and I love that they are all so different and beautiful. Thank you for the additional card and the stickers too.....
Comment: One for the Money is on my list too. Why Katherine Heigl? I used to listen to the books on tape read by Lori Petty. I always wanted her to be Stephanie Plum. I wish they'd give it another go with a new cast.
Comment: Oh I am so jealous about your amazing trip to New York I hope you have the time of your life. I miss living there so much sometimes I feel it hurts and my best friend is a flight attendant and he says always take advantage of everything they offer in first class LOL
Response: Love traveling first class! Our last trip to Miami, the steward kept giving us Vodka! Every time he passed, he'd drop a couple bottles on our tray! We just stowed them away in our bags! :)
Comment: Thank you for the cute card. I just love kittens and puppies. Actually most baby animals. Also the owl stickers to color. Never have seen coloring stickers before. Hope your husband does well with his races. The closest we get to racing is watching NASCAR on TV. Thanks again.
Comment: Thank you for your book log. It was interesting to see how you imagined the characters in your mind. The Library at the Edge of the World is on my to-read list, so it was nice to read your thoughts on it. It's not my regular genre either. Hopefully I'll like it enough to keep reading it until the end!
Comment: Very interesting log. The audio book you read seems to have been a dramatization, and like you, I am not fond of hearing multiple voices. I go to You Tube for audio books where there is a large selection. Hopefully you will try another with more luck.
Comment: Thank you for the beautiful pc with Koreans in traditional dress at a bridal room! That is cool you were able to go back and live in and see Korea again as an adult. I was able to tag along with my husband last year on a business trip. We were only in two big cities but we fit in as many historic sites, folk museums, traditional theater art museum, temples, and palace sites we could. And food, lots and lots of yummy food. We had a wonderful visit.
Response: Glad you liked it! If you miss it, head over to HMart on Havana and Yale!
Comment: I love how you cast people! That is the best and I have never thought of doing that so it does make it an interesting year for me if I decide to start casting my own actors for characters. Your books are great. I am so excited to add some of them to my TBR (since I already have some of your list on there)
Comment: Well hello again, Mimi. Thank you for your note card and the extra one! I actually don't have a friend that is crazy and makes me smile. The last one took advantage of my kindness and I got tired of it so I walked away. Have a great week!
Comment: Thank you for the lovely bookmarks and what a special treat to see the book covers! I enjoyed reading the more thorough reviews you wrote and a little disappointed in the lesser reviews (although it was only for 2 books!) But overall, it was fun reading through your list! Thank you!
Comment: Mimi, I had such a great time going through the packet of treasures that you sent to me! You really blew me away with so many wonderful items! My favorites are the navy blue notecard with the anchor on it (I love love love dark blue!), the Paris bookmark, the 'groovy' envelopes, the bird postcards (I had chickadees like those at my bird feeder this morning), and the sheet of 'strip' stickers. I loved all of it! Thanks for a fantastic swap!
Thank you so much for all the lovely notecards. I love the whole selection you chose. The sweet little cards that you sent inside the sweet note you wrote were my favorite - I can't wait to use them in my next art journal page. Wishing you a Merry Christmas and thank you for your kind words.
Comment: Thank you for the Alice Hoffman book! I haven't read anything by her but she's an author I've had on my radar for a while so I was happy to receive this book. (My TBR pile is quite a tower too... ) Merry Christmas!
Comment: Very pretty things you picked for me and you even sent a fun Winnie the Pooh & Tigger sticker to me! What is funny is I actually have the book that the book page came from and I just can't bring myself to pull it apart but now I have a sheet I can use from it :) Thank you!
Comment: At times I can definitely say I relate and do in fact cast book characters with celebrities. Or if I can't think of one who is fitting for the role, I conjure up an imaginary real-life version of the character; it makes it more real to me!
Response: Most times I'm disappointed at who they cast for the adapted films because my cast is so vivid in my mind. A Discovery of Witches series will take some getting used to. I saw Richard Armitage, and they cast Matthew Goode. <3-broken!
Comment: Hi Mimi! Wow you have been busy for work - yikes! Glad you could get some R&R over the weekend and hopefully you were able to catch up on stuff at work! Thank you for the share and goodies! Also welcome to SB - hope you enjoy all sorts of fun Happy Mail! Hugs and Happy Swapping! ;)
Comment: Mimi, thanks for the fun excerpt. I enjoy reading books with outdated notions. It seems like a truer visit to the past. I’ve never read Charlene Harris. But I do mean to try Sookie Stackhouse out. I’m a devoted fan of the vampire fantasy, ever since that first viewing of Interview with the Vampire :)
Comment: Thank you for the note card, that little card is so dang cute. Good luck on your craft project. Remember, sometimes you just have to get up and walk away! When you come back, a new perspective
Comment: Mimi, thank you so much for the wonderful packet that I received in the mail today! I loved the washi tapes and the butterfly stickers, but especially the big cards with the vintage photos on them! Very nice swap! Thank you again!
Comment: Sounds like a fun Halloween tradition at the office :) OHMYGOD I LOVE "Curb Your Enthusiasm"!! I always get so excited when I hear someone likes it because not a whole lot of people know what it is - from experience, lol. Seriously though - epic costume idea. Hope you have a great Halloween!
Response: I'm sad I couldn't get the wig on time!! My dog is dressing up as a hotdog, so I got a Mustard costume.... eh. was a good idea, though.
Comment: Your office sounds fun on Halloween. I'm one of the few people at my work who actually dresses up, but I do it anyway. This year I'll be dressing as a hobo. My hubby and I will be helping out at the church harvest party. It helps keep the kids from coming to our home where our dogs will get riled up every time the doorbell rings.
Comment: Thank you for the book. I read it years ago when Julia Robert's recommended it in a magazine article. It's obviously stuck with me and I plan on adding this book to my permanent collection and reread in the future. I love the retelling of an old story in a new way.
Response: Aw, I was hoping you hadn't... But it's such a good book, right?
Comment: Thanks for the Pretty Items Swap package! All the stationery is so beautiful, I love it! <3 I can't believe you would apologise for putting together such a lovely package, especially when your reason is the Las Vegas shooting. I was just happy and relieved to learn that all your coworkers were safe. Thanks again, the package really was wonderful! <3
Comment: You still managed to get the swap together and sent to me on time in spite of everything that happened. The amount of stress and worry you were feeling must have been unimaginable. I am happy to hear everyone was good and accounted for. Very ingenious way to send the washi tape too!
Comment: HAH! This is hilarious! I saw this book at a bookstore once and I always wondered about it and thought about giving it a shot! Well, now the opportunity is right here in front of me lol :) thanks for the fun book pick! I look forward to it!
Response: I'm so glad!! If you read it before I do, which there will be a great chance of that, please let me know how you liked it! Or not liked it....
Comment: Your pretty letter was the most fun. My husband, son and I got a big kick out of you googly eyeing your bosses office. The washi tape is great, thanks. If you'd like to have a new pen pal, just let me know, I'd love to write you :) Doskie
Response: He still has to googly eyes up! He loves them! And yes! Feel free to write back!
Comment: It's the little things sometimes that makes these packages so special! I loved everything but the special part was the fact that you gifted me a villain forever stamp AND used villain stamps to send the package! Thanks!
Comment: Thank you so much for absolutely gorgeous swap! First, I fell in love with design of letter paper you chose for your letter - Japanese-like characters and sea, what can be better! Also you included so cute stationery treasures, which made me happy! Today I'll finish writing a letter to you and send tomorrow!
Comment: For someone not the greatest at origami it was fantastic Thankyou. I loved the postcard enclosed as it's like armchair travel. The stickers are something I've not had before. Thankyou soooo much.
Comment: Hey Mimi love the little card :) Cats are very strange arent they? I had two cats, siblings, who got along great for years and with my dogs too, then my mom adopted one of them now hes scared of the dog, who he used to sleep with daily and brawls with his brother anytime my mom needs to pet sit for me. :(
Comment: Thank you for the very pretty note card and bagel sticker. When my father in law was alive he had an Elvis tribute band and my mother in law made his costumes. He was cremated in one when he passed. One of my sisters in law has his collection and it's probably worth a fortune. Thanks for sharing!
Comment: Hello Mimi! I do hope Boulder is treating you well today. I love all the bookmarks and postcards! So sweet that your husband brought you these gifts from his travels. I traveled for business quite a bit in my 20s and the first year, all of my family members received gobs of hotel freebies - and I wrote the city name on the side of each item! LOL
Happy swapping to you!
