Comment: Thanks for the Virginia Beach postcard. I get what you're saying about people that complain about Christmas merchandise being out in October. What's ironic is that the people complaining are the ones probably buying Christmas decorations in October!
Comment: Thank you for the cursive letter and postalette you sent. Your handwriting is so pretty. Oh, and I agree about the Great British Baking show is one of my favorites. I can't wait until tomorrow when we find out who will win this season.
Comment: I received you envelope a couple of days ago, but didn't have the opportunity to rate you. Our daughter moved out, because of her new study at the other side of the country (after 2 hours driving we cross the border to Germany.....;-) ). Now I had time to look at all the mail I received. Thanks for all the green items, I love them all. I put the Korean card into one of the boxes in het new house. I don't know if she already discovered it.......
Comment: Just got your letter and wanted to say thank you! I LOVE the quote you picked and Hermione has a very valid point! I agree 100% Thank you for the flat surprises you're right they would be great paintings in Hogwarts.
Comment: Thank you, Cathy! This was a wonderful glimpse into "your favorite daydream" and I feel so lucky to have learned a bit about how you met your hubby bowling! Sounds like you've gone thru the "thick and the thin" together since Y2K...I commend you on making it work too! Divorce is too easy these days...I learned my first time that being married is tough on the heart, mind, and soul because we're such flawed humans that we cannot help but hurt the ones we love. But, it took a second time, to see just how hard marriage truly is on the body as well, so we've shared in that scary hospital visit for heart problems, unfortunately. Good news is, we didn't go it alone, right! As hard as it is, we need others because "love makes the world go round!"
Oh, and thank you ALSO the extras you sent. Not only did you bring smiles to my face as I emptied each 7-of-hearts from the envie (I love this tiger one), but now I am inspired by these wonderfully fall colored bits of fabric and ribbon too! I must begin fall crafting! Crafting is my happy place right now! So, YES to crafting! YAY to you for taking me there again (I was sorta in a rut)!
Comment: Wow love this swap Cathy! Thanks so much for the pretty purple envies, the Garfield stationery paper, labels and #VBStrong I pray you didn't know anyone that was directly affected by that. Though as a country we can't help but be affected by each and every senseless tragedy!
Comment: Glad to see that you made such progress in your room! So great that now everything, in theory, has a place for it to go....even if you always end up with them out and about lol. I think everyone has a goal to stop hoarding....I struggle with that too. ME: But it could be used...I know the minute I toss it I will need to use it! In all seriousness though I hope you keep on having fun crafting in your room!
Comment: Lovely note! Can't wait to try the tea! I actually went to the American Girl place when I was in fifth grade. I was hugely into it too!! I had the Elizabeth doll because I love the American Revolution <3
Comment: Thank you for the books. One of them needs to be sent home so I filled in the last page and wrote the person I'm sending it to a letter with the book 😊. I'll get the others sent on as soon as possible
Comment: Cathy, it was a delight to get to know you through this swap - you certainly are an interesting person! Thank you for your journal. I particularly loved the photos from your wedding - it is really nice to see pictures of your swap partner! Best wishes, Annabelle xoxoxo
Response: Glad you liked it! I wasn't sure if it was "magpie" enough (I don't consider myself to be much of an artist), but it sure was fun to put together!
It's always such a treat having you for a swap partner. Thanks for all the fun booklets to sign and pass along. I hope you're having a wonderful October thus far? Love from Carlisle Iowa ♥Debbie
Comment: Thank you for your great letter! I can totally understand why you like Ginny that much! My favourite character is Hermione, for similar reasons as yours for liking Ginny: they are both strong, independent girls and should be admired for that!
Comment: Hey there, thanks so much for the washi and other yellow things! And for the nice mini letter. It made me smile! I can relate to your phone problems. I have an old flip phone too and it breaks up my incoming texts and sends them in the wrong order like puzzle pieces. LOL
Comment: Hi Cathy! I loved your pictures, thanks for sharing them with me! It was a lot of fun to see so much nature and loved the street art you found around your area. I absolutely loved the tiny park (I can definitely see myself throwing a tiny party there lol) and the bridge with the bench, gorgeous! Thanks for taking me with you on such a fun tour!
Comment: My favorite line: “It’s a pleasantly tedious job with all the padding and cutting apart...” You phrased that so perfectly! I temped for five months at a print shop, so I know exactly what you mean!
Comment: I apologize for the initial low rating on this swap. It was totally my mistake. If any coordinators have a problem letting you sign up for other swaps because of my error, please have them contact me and I will explain that it wasn't your fault.
Response: 9/30/17--So...I just looked through all my messages back to April (I never delete them) and I have ZERO unread messages and NONE from slckad. In other words, this is the FIRST time I'm learning about this and I shall be looking into fixing this issue.
Edit. (9/30/17). Resend is already in the mail, but it looks like me and slckad are cool. ☺ Apparently Swap-Bot says messages are sent even though they're not. Beware folks, beware!
Comment: Hi - Thank you very much for the sheets. I'll get them passed along. THANK YOU for the playing cards!!! I recently decided to collect the "3 of hearts" (representing my 3 brothers) and you're the first to send them to me!!
Comment: Thank you for your answers and interesting comments. I was thinking about "season with salt." Salt is a preservative and it also makes us thirsty. Our communication making the person "thirsty" to know more. Thank you for the colored washi tapes.
Comment: Thanks for the Washi tape. I like the yellow flowered ones very much. I hope you figure out your route and yes, we are going to Madras Oregonto see the eclipse at 100percent. I think it is 4 hour drive. Us and 45,000 other people. 😂😂😂
Comment: Thank you for the long thoughtful letter. Having recently completed my masters degree, I applaud your efforts to go back to school. Good luck with getting your husband to quit smoking. I've done some work with addicts of all sorts, and the thing to keep in mind it "people, places, things". If he's still hanging with the same smoking buddies, and still going to the shops he gets his cigarettes at and still doing the same activities he used to do while mindlessly smoking, he is going to keep smoking, and his cravings will never go away. Good luck!
Comment: I love all the different Christmas stuff you sent, but especially the homemade cards! Adorable!!! Thank you for the thematic decorated envie, too. :D You really went above and beyond on everything, thank you! I appreciate your participation and awesome sending. :) Happy Christmas in July!
Comment: Thank you, I enjoyed reading your log. Id you liked Congress of Secrets, you should read Masks and Shadows, which I loved even more. I didn't know the name of the helicopter, thanks for the info. Thought I did know that it is NOT Air Force One. I understand how such little mistakes can be super annoying. I added Kendra Donovan to my TBR list. You made it sound intriguing.
Comment: Wow, what a well thought out reading log. I'm definitely adding some of those to my Goodreads. I have enjoyed all of Beatriz Williams books. She's coming to an independent bookstore in Arlington next week. I also really love reading Lucinda Riley
Comment: I think I may have mistaken you with another bucket list swapper, your names are very similar. I think i need to thank you for the washi tape that came along with your bucket list. So sorry for rating you so late - your list came a long time ago but i confused you with someone who's list just came today. Thanks again
Comment: Hi Cathy!
Thank you so much for your extra surprise stamps in the envelope, they are beautiful, as are the ones on the envelope, I love it! :D
Wish you success and fun in fullfilling your bucketlist and keep up the good work on your body :)
Comment: Thank you so much! I love reading your note. I can't tell you half the stupid questions I've had over the years working retail. (38 yrs.) With each one you think "nobody will ever top this one!" but then tomorrow is another day and guess what. There's always one to top the last one. LOL! I had one call the other day and ask if we sold Bibles. I work at a Bible Bookstore. Hello!
Comment: Lol some people....I would have sat in silence too with that lady lol. I want to think of a snappy comment about it but I am at a loss lol. Thank you for the fun message, and thank you for the little extras. I love the peppermint card and cannot wait to repurpose it! And the little nesting doll envie, OH MY GOSH! <3 Made my day!
Comment: Thank you so much for this lovely envie... Each detail is great and I am eager to check the name of the books. I want to begin with the ''Mysterious'' ones... Very appealing names! It is what I like more about these swaps, you learn new authors each time... The notecards are beautiful and will become part of my stash... Love those floral borders!!! Thank you for a great swap!!!
