Comment: Fabulous tag Diane! I love the old worn look you got on all of the elements. The fade (ombre, yes! why couldn't I think of that when I set up the swap?!? lol) you achieved is fabulous. Thank you too for the beautifully colored envelope that it arrived in. Thanks for another superb swap!
Comment: Diane, this pumpkin card is stunning! Is it a Tim Holtz stamp? I keep looking at the faded color effects, they're perfect! And the background looks like the perfect ground setting for autumn. Thank you so much for your wonderful creation!
Response: Not a TH stamp, just one I probably picked up at Michael's or HL.
Comment: Outstanding work Diane! This was a new challenge for me too. You really found the right mix and got some lovely intensity to your color, I really struggled with that part. Thank you so much for the lovely swap, of course it will go right in my collection!
Comment: I love the ATC!!!!! I also loved the notecard you sent it in - super cute! PLEASE do tell me where you obtained the sleeves :) Thank you so much for hosting and giving me courage to try something new!!!
Response: I bought clear plastic sleeves at Walmart, where they keep the trading cards (usually near a register).
Comment: Hello, you may have sent it two weeks ago but I just got it today. When you make envies like the one you made sometimes they are non-machinable and have to be handled by people in each office it goes through. It does have a date stamp of September 1 and I can tell it didn't get machined because there is no bar code. Want you to know that I absolutely love the envie. I was really so thrilled when I took it out of the mailbox, very cool image of houses! I also love the tag, you did wonderful work. I have not used mica sprays. I love how you layered colors and the images. Thank you for a wonderful swap!
I went to the apple festival and got some apples and I saw the donuts but didn't get one. Everything is a bit scary around here right now because of Hurricane Florence. I tried three gas stations before I was able to get gas and then was limited to 10 gallons. Stopped at the store and there was NO bread on the shelves.
Response: I had a mail art envelope labeled "undeliverable" last week, so I was getting worried about the one I sent to you. I'm glad it got there and you liked it. :) Yes, the NC situation is scary! I have family in your town and I'm emailing them tonight, to make sure they're set for the onslaught of rain.
Comment: TC - your 10 step ATCs are wonderful! I love the backgrounds you created for both of them and the color palettes you used are soft and natural which are my favorites. Thank you for these two beauties!
Comment: I was so pleased with the mug rug you made for. Me. I. I wish the one I made for my swap was as. Nice. I had never made one before, but will make more, till mine look as nice as yours. Have a wonderful day. Marcia
Response: I'm glad you like it. They are a lot of fun to make, and they're a good way to practice piecing, quilting, and binding techniques.
Comment: Nicely done! I didn't think an image would work out well but you nailed it, I love how it turned out! Great work, thank you so much for this awesome card! It's going right on my new TH display rack that I picked up at Tuesday Morning a few weeks ago!
Comment: Well SB just ate my rating so here I go again.. I absolutely adored mail day when there's something in there from someone I truly admire. I loved the feel good/summer-ish notecard. It made me smile so much which is needed these days. My nephew is great! He came up last month and I took him to Chuck E Cheese for his NINTH birthday. That's a true sign that I'm getting oh so old. Lol. I hope that your crappy job is almost over. Take care always and thanks so much for an excellent swap!! (Of course I noticed & loved the hockey stamp).♥
Comment: Hi Diane - Thanks so much for the incredibly beautiful Butterfly ATCs. I love them and can't wait to add them to my collection. I hope you had fun with the theme. Thanks so much for joining. Take Care -Vanne
Comment: Thank you for this fabulous card! I'm glad you had fun with it and got some craft therapy in :-) There's nothing like it on this unexpected journey of life, that's for sure! Hope to see you around in another swap again some time.
Comment: Thank you very much, you did a wonderful job on the ATC!!! I guess the 4th time is the charm:) I think I remade mine about 3 or 4 times too. I love how we all had to use the same and got so different results!
Comment: Hi Diane! Your glue and distress ink tag turned out great! I love butterflies so this was just my thing. I had not ever tried this technique either and made a couple of stabs at it before I got one I was happy with. I don't have the kind of glue recommended either so just used my white Scotch craft glue, and it seemed to work okay. It was pretty quick and easy (discounting the drying time) so I will most likely try it again! Thanks for a fun swap - Laurie
Comment: Hi and I love "sing" which I read at first as SPRING since I want spring to come so badly...... love what you did with the background and flowers using the used coffee filter..... so funny because I made flowers and a flower pot out of mine also. Thanks.....
Response: I hear you on wishing for spring! This unending rain is about to drive me nuts!
Comment: TC - A thousand thanks and hearts for this happy mail. I really loved the way that you laid out your list (and the calligraphic elements!) - and I do understand "not feelin' it", but you definitely did a wonderful job. Thank you so much for this - and for hosting it! xoxo
Comment: Thank you so much for the most glittery card ever, I'm a huge fan of glitter and that card almost left me blind, LOVED IT!! It was really sweet of you to send along those cute chocolate scented stickers, and the recipe cards, I loved them and both items are going to look great on my recipe smash book. Hope you had a fun Christmas!!
Response: I wish it had gotten to you before Christmas! But I'm glad it finally arrived, and that you like it. :)
Comment: Sorry for the delay in rating. I love, love, love the kitties all through it. Made me smile and want even more cats. I loved the inspirational thoughts inside too, made my heart feel a little lighter.
Response: Thanks for the kind words, and for joining the swap. :)
Comment: what a beautiful envie! I love Tim Holtz stuff. i remember back when he wasnt even a thing yet, lol. I wish I could afford to have "all the things" but I have done some pretty amazing stuff with my DIY alcohol sprays.. Dollar tree markers and 98% alco lol. I have some of the little ranger distress inks and I love those, too. I SOO want the dyelusions!
Response: You're right, of course. One of my favorite mediums is colored pencil and mineral spirits. :)
Comment: I received your swap today Diane, thank you so much!! I really enjoyed reading your lists and noticed we had some similarities lol. Also I really like how you made the mini journal book...great idea:) I forgot to mention that I liked how you added a list to a tea lable I think lol. I made mine on a rubber glove from work.
Comment: Loved all of the embellies! I am new to flip books, too (I have yet to make one) but have made embellishments. I especially loved your glazed stamps ... really cool idea. Thanks for hosting!
Response: I'm not really a pen pal writer, but I like the idea of flip books for journaling. They are pretty fun to make. Maybe I'm really into the making more than using, LOL. Thanks for joining the swap!
Comment: Thank you TC for the beautiful ATC! And your note as always great to hear from you and trade. It's been a long time. Yes, a few signs of spring. Yesterday was a beautiful day! Happy St. Patricks Day!
Comment: Thanks for the lovely card and postcards, TC! So glad FOPS exists! Thanks for all you do to keep this site safe and enjoyable for those of us swappers that "want" the site to run like its supposed to!
Response: You are so sweet, but I can't take the credit - the group works really well together!
Comment: Thank you so much for the awesome card. I really love that you made a postal themed one which I adore. I also love that you explained the products you used which I must now have. Love it! Hugs, Mona
Comment: Thank you for those wonderful napkins. I love them all, but the French cheese and alcohol labels are unique. I've never seen anything like it before. Thank you for sending it all in such a nice envelope, too. It really made my day. :)
Comment: Thanks for the colored PC. The colors and weird bee butterfly thing look great. I can't wait for hockey season to start again and I wish they would put out some hockey coloring postcards. That would be awesome. ðŸ’💙⚡ï¸
Comment: 1 thousand hearts over, thanks so much for the gorge paper goods, I sure cant wait to try them out and see what I can make, I might even make you something with some of them, so very pretty. Thanks so much and thanks for being my first private swap here :-) xx
Response: I hope they work for you. :) Have fun on SB!
Comment: Thank you very much for this wonderful, wonderful card. It's cool that you already know my hometown. Let me guess! You came here by cruise ship? Texas is one of the states I will definitely visit someday.
I am the luckiest gal on Swap Bot to have gotten you for my partner! My new rolo is perfection! Your art work is absolutely beautiful. Your card creating skills are wonderful. You certainly have an artists eye for color, balance and harmony. I am honored to now own a bit of your creativity. Thank you sweetie! Merry Christmas!â¤ï¸
Response: Oh my goodness, I don't know how to respond! You are so sweet in expressing your gratitude for a VERY simple swap. :)
Comment: So lovely! I've placed it near an ornamental pepper houseplant and it's shimmering wonderfully there. Thank you. If you're a beginner, I'm not sure where that puts me. The polish of your work sets a high standard! Take c.are
Comment: Well, you sent this to the right person because I love the impressionist look- I think it's beautiful! How is the outline made? SB is definitely good for getting one to try new things...I'm having a blast!
Response: Thanks! It was dry embossed first, then wet embossed with clear embossing powder over the raised areas, which is SUPPOSED to act as a resist for the watercolors. Didn't work as well as I expected. LOL. But I'm glad you like it. :) And yes on the new things! Gosh, I've learned a ton here.
Comment: Oh. My. Gosh!!! Such FUN little village, and lovely flowers! You did a fabulous job on both rolos! I love them! Thanks for hosting, and it was great to finally get a Rolodex from you after drooling over your IG feed for a year! :-)
Comment: Thank you for the lovely notecards. I especially like the one with the penny-farthing and the one with the copper leaves. I really like the dual-colored ink on the flowery-colorful one, too. :)
Comment: As a knitter and crocheter, I fully approve of your choice of YARN to represent the letter Y! Love the rolo you made...in fact, I've loved all of them! I know this has been a big series...but I'm grateful that you hosted all 26. Thank you for being a wonderful swap partner, and a wonderful host!
Response: Oh, donetta, that's high praise coming from someone with your talent!
Comment: What a cute ATC, Diane. You did a great job with the technique. I have been wondering how many attempts I'm going to need to get anywhere near the effect.. At least now I've seen one and that may make it easier. I had to ask Jackie for more instructions as the whole process didn't seem to make sense to me at first. With her extra instructions and your sample, maybe I can do it! Have a great weekend!
Response: I did a lot of trial runs, with different stamps. It's not an easy technique to do, because of the wood or acrylic block behind the stamp.
Comment: Oh, how adorable! I wish I'd thought of a xylophone...actually, I did think of it, but couldn't figure out a way to make it memorable. Clearly, not a problem for you! I love it...I do NOT find it childish as you feared...I find it perfect in every way!
Comment: Thank you for the awesome card. Your tangle work is amazing! I just love this card and Ginger, Princess, Keith and Sebastian do too (My furry kids)! So happy to put this in my collection. We had floods also but no where near what you had. Hope you were spared.
Comment: Good choice for stamp! It is an interesting technique but I was tempted to use gel pens to "jazz' mine up. Finding the right stamp is key. I tried a few until I got some I liked. Don't know if I will use it again but one should never say never...
Comment: I loved your photos Diane. And I enjoyed reading the backstory for each of them. The Sock Monkey was perfect for your "vintage" item! I have never seen that kind of wildflower before but it is so beautiful. That fiery red color is amazing. Its so cool that you used the word "blue" for your cats eyes, and she posed so nicely for you to take her pic lol! Thank you for participating in my swap, I hope you can join in for future rounds!
Comment: Thank you for sharing your work with me. I really love the zentangled one and the fall leaves. Your comment about "babies in pointed hats and vintage women with wings" cracked me up because the first ATC techniques book my sister bought me was full of that and I just didn't understand the appeal. I'm glad the art form has moved beyond that!
Comment: I totally loved the embossed papers you made! I'm new at it, so this was a real treat! How do you get them to emboss so deeply? Love the designs! You're lucky to have left the frigid east coast! Lol,
Response: I just use a Sizzix Big Shot, and follow the directions on the extended multipurpose platform.
Comment: TC...what a beautiful card! I just love it, and I'm adding it to my permanent collection! That was a good idea to turn your packing tape background into flower stems. Did you rubber-stamp the flowers or draw them by hand? (I'm thinking you drew them by hand...)
Comment: Thank you for the ATC & note. I really like the contrast of the colored background and the black and white Zentagle elements. As a side note, I didn't get as much texture as I expected with my ATC, either. I even tried it again for a postcard and it was still pretty subtle.
Response: Yeah, I think I expected something like you'd get from texture paste. But the great thing about these swaps is how much I learn about various art mediums! Thanks for the nice comment and rating.
Comment: Thanks for a lovely ATC, Diane. I am just about to try this technique and have thought it could be challenging depending on the ink used, and I have very few dye inks if any. I may have to use chalk inks as you did. it made a very lovely card. Enjoy the rest of the weekend!
Comment: Hi TC! Today your letter finally arrived after its long journey to Germany :-) It was great finding the nicely decorated envelope in my mailbox - so thank you very much. I enjoyed reading how you described how you receive your mail. And I could see you walking down your driveway to collect your mail in my mind. Thanks also for the stickers =)
Response: Oh, I'm glad you finally received it! Thank you for joining the swap, and for rating promptly. :)
Comment: This is an amazing rolo, Diane...so beautiful! I adore autumn (it's my favorite season), and the beautiful colors make my heart sing! Thank you also for the beautiful stencil...you can bet I'll put it to good use!
Comment: Diane- I loved both of your cards so much!! I feel bad I rated the wrong person !! I'm so sorry you had to wait on your rating.. This is the best atc's I've received.. I already bought two little easels and have them on display.. Absolutely beautiful. I once again apologize for my mistake..
Comment: Great card! Sorry it gave you so much trouble, LOL. I didn't have a problem with glossy card stock. I used Ranger brand that's supposed to be for alcohol ink, but I don't like it for that purpose. :)
Response: I was using Ranger brand, too! So it must have been user error. LOL.
Comment: To Kill a Mockingbird is a fantastic book that taught me the first of what I knew about race relations and inequality. I really appreciate this quote and that you are a fan of critical thinking. Thank you!! I love the turtle sticker and your handwriting, too! Thank you!
Comment: Thanks for such a grungy, vintage style GIRAFFE rolo, TC. Hie is very cute. Giraffes will always remind me of the time at a wildlife refuge and tour when my kids were little. A giraffe was behind a tall fence but loved to be touched. All of a sudden he leaned down and picked up my dad's cap and walked away! Hope you are having a good week-end. We are rather soggy here in Houston--have to keep up that humidity!
Comment: This is wonderful! The daisy is the flower symbol of a group I belong to so I think I will attach it to my meeting book instead of putting it in the file holder. Everyone will be jealous! Thanks for sharing-you found a great find!
Comment: Not only am I super excited for this swap series- I love the rolo you created! I have been wanting to purchase the faber castel butterscotch gelato and I now know I am headed to Hobby Lobby later to buy a package. LOL. Thank you for also sending me the book pages. They will be put to good use on a 4x6 recipe rolo with my grandmas heritage recipe. 😊
Comment: I absolutely LOVE the ATC you made! The tie dye was great and it is definitely a welcome addition to my still very new collection. Thank you so much for joining in the swap and sending me such a wonderful piece of artwork!
Comment: Love Love Love my little house ATC, it makes me happy just looking at it. The texture paste is new to me although pretty much everything on Swap-Bot is new to me... Thank you so much for making this newbie feel welcome !!!!!
Response: One of the very BEST things about SB is learning new art techniques. :) Thanks for the rating, and for joining the swap!
Comment: TC, thank you for the wonderful ATC! I mostly hand draw my ATCs, so the techniques you used are very new to me. I am really curious now and I will definitely be trying these. This ATC exudes warmth and love and I am so happy to be adding it to my collection!
Comment: WOWZA! What a fabulous little house and I want some of those paints. Thank you so much for this adorable card. I am looking forward to framing a little village with my little houses. Hugs and 100 Hearts, Mona
Response: Those paints are awesome. I live by the belief that great supplies can make a mediocre artist look better then she really is. LOL.
Comment: LOL!! I imagine they lived awkwardly ever after after being treated like a toothbrush and having tried a diaper on every young girl's kneecap in the land! Hoo hoo, hee hee! I am imagining glass dust bunnies, too! Ha! Too funny!
Comment: Thank you so much for your note. I really enjoyed reading. Yes my daugter Emma, was influenced a little by Jane Austen. That must be neat to have 3 cows. There are a lot of cows in Oppdal but I think we hold the record for the most sheep in Norway. Right across the street not even 40feet from our house is a huge pasture for sheep. My daughter loves watching them in the spring and summer. Thank you again. Love the letterset too. :)
Comment: Oops! I rated you on the USA swap for the icy house and it was meant for this one! I didn't even realize we were partnered twice. They are both 5 <3 so leaving it as is. The industrial house is just as awesome as the icy house. I love how it is all slanted.
Response: I was really uncertain about that industrial one. So much so, that I went a totally different direction with the next two. :) Thanks for joining both swaps.
Comment: Thank you for such a wonderful swap! I love the vintage linen bag that was stuffed with goodies. Washi tape, embroidery floss, zippers, cards, fabric gel pen, travel tickets suede and metal wire and charm parts! If I can't get to crafting with this supply, I've got problems:) thank you so very much for spoiling me!
Comment: Great blocks as usual! I saw your profile post and chuckled when I received the note. It says so much that you were able to get them done and in such good quality! Thank you and for being a caring swapper too!
Comment: Beautiful blocks, was fun seeing some of the strips that I had sent. I'm busy cutting new strips myself, will soon be ready for another round of swapping, thank you for following thru with this swap
Comment: I love the tree you created. I want one, full size!! Very colorful, which I always love, very creative, very artistic. It's hanging with all my Christmas cards -- thanks for being part of my Christmas "decor". Wish you could teach a class on ATC's -- I'd sign right up!
Response: Oh, you are very generous with your praise. :) Thanks for joining the swap.
Comment: Such a beautiful ornament, thank you! Its like a cathedral window, but different, going to have to figure this one out:) As always, thank you for being a wonderful swap host and swap partner. I really enjoy this group and your swaps! Wishing you the merriest of holidays!
Response: The tutorial is here: http://katrinastutorials.blogspot.com/2009/09/fabric-ornament-number-one.html . Thanks for joining and for being an excellent member of SR in 2013!
Comment: I love the oragami? ornament. It reminds me of that game we used to play as children where we folded a piece of paper, put words on certain folds, held it in our hands and asked it questions, like "does Johnny like me?". Super cute.
Response: Would you believe it starts with a 9" circle? It was one of the cooler tutorials I found online - and so easy! Thanks for the rating and for joining the swap. :)
Comment: I love the cute flowery paper and envelope. I really enjoyed hearing about your life and thankful musings. I enjoyed feeling connected with someone far away who seems like a kind soul. And I very much enjoyed the adorable little stamps. Made my day!! Thanks for everything!!!
Response: Ah, today was a tough day. It was a blessing to read your comment. Thank you. :)
Comment: I love the stickers, and the envelope they came in, you've inspired me to have a go at making my own envelopes too! Thanks so much x
Response: Making envelopes is easy and fun. It's one of the things I do when I don't feel inspired to make art. You can just use a commercially made envelope as a template and trace around it. Thanks for joining the swap!
Comment: Hi Diane I received my paper napkins today and what a selection. They were all beautiful and I loved them - I loved the cheese and the wine one a little more. Thanks for swapping and I hope that we swap again sometime. Pat
Comment: Thank you! I too am a lover of pie, but it's so hard to represent without making it look like a blob with latticing. It's so hard to capture the melty, gooey, sugary, fruity goodness of a nice slice of pie.
Comment: LOVE the napkins you sent. They will make lovely envelopes for my swapping. That is what I have been doing with the napkins lately. Iron them onto freezer paper, make card and envelope... Thanks too for the word ATC...Beautiful
Comment: OMG! What a great postcard... our son has a pug, so this card is going up on the fridge for him to see on his next visit (pretty sure he'll want it when he does see it, too)! This pc really made my day... thanks so much.
Response: Isn't it funny? I wish my husband liked that beer more - just so I could get the boxes. :)
Comment: Lovely ATCs. I've been hesitant to use an actual book page myself, but I see a book at home that's in multiple sections, so I may cannibalize it. I love them both, the blue/purple because purple is my favorite colour, and the black one because everything on it is just so right. Thank you :)
Response: Thank you for the kind words. I had fun making that black one - had to go find some toy cars in my son's closet to make the wheel prints. LOL.
Comment: Thank you for the beautiful flower on the atc. I love so much this type of flower and you did an awesome job with the watercolor. I am going to use it to cheer me up when it is cold and snowing around here since our winters are so long and depressing.
Comment: This is getting to be a habit, you send me beautiful blocks and I say thank you! Another round of quality craftsmanship and beautiful colors. Thank you so much! Thank you also for hosting this swap, its one of my favorites.
Response: haha, we do seem to send to each other a lot. :) Thanks for the rating, and I like having you in my swaps.
Comment: Got your really cool postcard today, thanks!! Made me think of the Vietnam Memorial in DC. You could hear a pin drop, last time I was there. Everyone's avoiding eye contact so no one see ya crying. Really sobering. It could use a few 2-3 year olds, running around. ;-)
Response: I have visiting the VN Memorial on my bucket list. The Alamo actually has a sign up, explaining that the site is a memorial and you are to honor the dead by being respectfully quiet.
Comment: Thank you, thank you, thank you! If I could give you more than 1 heart I would! I love that you made me penguins! And he's not fat, he's fluffy!!! Lol. Please run this swap again. It was fun and easy and very little stress! Thank you again!
Response: Thanks for the kind words! I do plan to run it again, probably in September. :)
Comment: Love it.... I will be working on mine tomorrow, a little under the Weather today... Love the colors... and my Husband noticed the Envelope you made as soon as he got the mail out of the mail box.. Great Job...Love the international picture...
Comment: Thanks so much for all that you sent! Wow! I love the notecards and stickers and the bookmark! Destash some more lol! I also love the envelope. I really need to look around the internet and find a "pattern" to make my own.
Response: I just unglued a couple of commercially made envelopes and use those as templates. I'm glad you liked everything. I was happy to move some of my "inventory." LOL.
Comment: Thanks for all the images. I really liked that you varied the ink and paper colors. To answer your question, it is very hot but i'm not melting. I stay inside with the a/c, I think I'd pass out if I were to be outside. Haha
Comment: What a gorgeous building! I've never been to Napa, but I really want to go and explore and do some photo shoots there. I lived in France for a year, and that building definitely has a very French feel.
I do the same about taking pictures of people's homes, and in Charleston, the problem is compounded by intricate fences and beautiful doors, so I'm sure I look like a crazy stalker as well :)
Comment: Love Your Choice of Fabrics for the Scrap buster Bordered Dishtowel. I know what you mean about labor intensive... :D Me Too... Can't wait to hang this in the kitchen...Love the way you made your card too..6/5 at 6:20 pm
Comment: Ahhhhh thank you so much! I LOVE THIS POUCH! its also been a hit on my instagram & Facebook pages....everyone is SUPER JEALOUS! You rock!!!! Boomer Sooner! (Also tell your son he has good taste lol)
Response: LOL, he recently painted his bedroom red with black trim. I'm glad you like the pouch. Thanks for joining the swap!!
Comment: Oh, I recognize that Shiner Bock box! My hubby loves the Spoetzl brews. I don't drink beer, but I love their packaging! (As a matter of fact -spoiler alert!- one of my partner's is getting a Shiner Hefeweizen postcard for this swap!) Thanks for joining in on my fun!
Comment: Got your email today! Great pictures! I plan on doing mine this weekend when I take the kids to Hot Springs. There are a lot of beautiful and interesting places there!! I really enjoyed your pictures, though!!
Response: That sounds like fun! One of these rounds, I'm going to do an urban walk, or people are going to get sick of looking at cactus. LOL.
Comment: You should work for the Texas tourist board, that walk has sent Texas right to the top of my bucket list, looking at the pics I just want to be there, I especially loved the flowers they are so pretty. Thank you so much for joining the swap and sharing your lovely part of the world .
Response: Ha, if you had seen how hot and sweaty and dusty I was after that hike, you might have second thoughts! LOL. Thanks for the rating, and for hosting these swaps. They make me get out and GO!
Comment: Thank you sooooo much! I love them! They are almost too cute to use. I might use one as a mugrug. And thanks soo much for sending early, Then I kow I'm on the right track with mine. :)
Response: I'm glad you like them. :) I said the same thing when I got the ones from my swapper - too cute to use! I think we will repeat this swap; I need more of these, and they were so fun to make. Thanks for the 5, the heart, and for joining the swap.
Comment: Welcome to our little family of walkers ! thank you so much for your walk I loved it. I had to call my son to come see the cactus field and was very envious of your lovely blue sky :)
Response: That cactus field was after I walked through a dried up riverbed full of burdocks! It had the potential to be a very prickly hike. LOL. And, yes, one of the things I love best about my state is the BIG SKY. Thanks for the kind rating. :)
Comment: TC your work on this ATC is nothing short of OUTSTANDING!!!!
I cant wait to get the H :) so happy you are my partner for both :)
I love the amount of effort you put into it... you should be very proud of yourself and keep on doing them!!!!
Response: I personally think the H is much better than the G. :) I'm so glad you like it!
Comment: Very nice 'C'. I love your clean lines and that zinger tangle is sweet. Yes, NC is nice and green. Raleigh has wonderful blooming trees through the summer. Texas is having an awful time with drought. Rain coming tonight...I'll bag some up and email it to you! See ya at the mail box.
Comment: Thank you Diane for the lovely Valentine. sorry I forgot to rate...and thank you SOOOOOO much for the remind, I really needed it. With the computer not working at home I have to wait until I get to work to rate. Thank you again!
Comment: TC- I love the Journal you created! How fun!!!
Thanks for the extras in there:) you so know me.
You did an amazing job with this and I'll cherish it for years to come:) is give you 5 hearts if I could:)
Thanks for joining this swap with me.
Comment: Thank you for commenting on my profile and letting me know you sent this -it ended up in my spam folder, so I would have never known otherwise. So thanks! The journal page is awesome. It's really bright and fun and full of hope. She will love it. Thanks for sending!
Comment: I loved the pattern you picked for this swap! Your block is very pretty, the right size (yea!) and the colors are so alive, thanks, You are a great partner (are we allowed to have favorits?) Thank You
Comment: Wow, what a wonderful card! You did a great job - I love it! Who makes those stamps? Tami
Response: Yay, I'm glad you like it! I looked at your work on Flickr and was hoping it would suit you. :) It was a stamp-of-the-month by Close To My Heart, where I get most of my stamps. They're the highest quality stamps I've found. http://everydayart.ctmh.com/
Comment: Thanks so much for your lovely mixed media backgrounds. I so appreciated your letter with the lists of steps and the original strips. I especially liked the pink sheet as I like using text stamping as well. Great!!
Response: I almost forgot to send the strips! I had to reopen the envelope and slip them in - d'oh! Thanks for the rating and I'm really glad you like them. I was nervous about sending to you because your art is SO good.
Comment: lola is precious! is she yours? she doesn't look too impressed with the hat, though. =P that guy at norman, ok that is cool! i'd love to see that in person. sunset2 would look amazing printed on a postcard! absolutely beautiful!! those little baseball cups of icecream remind me of my childhood. my grandmother had a ton of those. & good to see a photo of you! i love putting a username to a face. =P that building in russia is beautiful! lucky you've been there. you are super talented at photography!! what camera do you use? thanks for sharing. =)
Comment: WOW. What photos!! I love all of them and it's hard to pic a favorite. Lola is adorable and that art at Silver Dollar City is so awesome. I'm envious of you having been to Finland. AND LONDON!!! But...I love the photo of you and your mother in Russia. Great pics friend!!!
Response: Thanks for the great rating! London is an incredible city and I really hope you can go there someday - with me. :)
Comment: I could not have assigned partners better :) I love my postcard and am thinking that is a great hideout from the zombies for sure.
Seriously though...YOU are an asset on SB. It's such a thankless thing you do but it is so appreciated. Never feel that what you're doing or what you've done isn't. No one protects Swapbot like you do. Thank You TC♥♥
Comment: Diane, I am so jealous! I have a Pfaff 2124. I want an upgrade! I also have a Grand Quilter which I dont use very much. Thank you for the lovely note and both photo's. I want that Bernina 830 so sweet. So is the price tag!
Response: I'd love that 830, but holy cats, it costs more than my first car!
Comment: Wow! You sent such a beautiful bag, I love it! The fabric you chose is gorgeous and the bag is so well constructed. Thank you! I appreciate you reading my profile too. If Yankee Candle ever comes out with a PineSol scent I'll get us both one! ♥♥♥♥♥

Comment: I'm so sorry for the late rating. I must have made an error when I went to save because I thought I had rated you long ago. I loved all the cards, but even more I adored the envelope you sent them in! Thank you so much.
Comment: My dearest! I had to laugh a bit when I saw your beautiful rolo. You and I had the exact same idea with design! Except that we chose slightly different colors and I used a handwriting stamp in place of your French book page. I absolutely love it! Thank you so much for proving that, once again, great minds... :D ♥ x 1,000
Response: Well, there are only so many design ideas when you're given the materials. Still, knowing that I had the same idea as you makes me feel like I'm doing something right!!
Comment: Dear TC your first letter to Lithuania reached its destination :)))))) Disney arrived safely:) Thank you :) And no TC not too much glitter, its right just enough :) And i totally love Anne Geddes... I am such a child almost 30 years :D
Comment: I just LOVED getting this swap from you! And by the way you have the most wonderful handwriting! Love the handmade envie - stellar! And you were very creative in matching the teas to the letters, made me smile :) I hope 2012 will bring you wise use of Time, Engaging Exercise of your right brain, and lots of Adventuring Afar! And of course I can't wait to try the teas - always wanted to try a Snapple one, especially. Thanks for a wonderful swap!! :)
Comment: TC!! Thank you so very much for the Owl ornament and the Quilted Star ornament!!! How sweet of you to read my profile:)
Did you make that Star?! Gorgeous! Also, I love the nice bag you made that everything came in!!
What a sweet sweet swap, my friend! And, I too, will think of you everytime I look at the owl and that Texas Star!!! :) Merry Christmas!!!!!
Response: I did make the star - and the bag! 'Cause I love ya. :)
Comment: It finally got here and it's perfect for me - the pattern is just right for the center block of a 9 patch B&W wall quilt. Plus it's easy enough that I will make it a BOM for my guide sometime this spring [I'm the BOM chair}
Comment: Diane, Thank you so much for the Beautiful Envie, and yes, It did make my day brighter. It is beautiful. After reading your note, I read what I could of the underlying recipe, and Your soooo right. The pretty pie is MUCH nicer :O) Also a thanks for the Book mark. Very kind of you. Peace and thank you.
Comment: Diane...thank you for the great selection of notecards and the letterset :) Gotta say that it is the first I have seen a fabric one and absolutely LOVE it!!!!! Enjoyed your note and the FREE HUG COUPON and the adorable crocheted heart attached to the ribbon...a wonderful uplifting package :) Blessings, Charlene
Comment: heart, heart, heart and more hearts....I guess you were reading my mind and knew I've always wanted one of the mini art quilts with the little aprons on it! Everytime I go into my favorite quilt shop they have theirs hanging on the wall for me to look at. Thankfully it is high enough on the wall that I don't drool all over it! Thank you Diane for a precious little addition to my mini art quilt gallery at work!
Comment: How wonderful that you tried so many new things in this quilt. I especially envy the lovely specialty stitches you used -- so right for a crazy quilt. And your couched yarn was very well done.
Comment: Thank you. I love the fabrics you chose - very pretty. You made a much more professional job of it than I did. And I appreciate the handmade envelope you sent it in which makes the package special.
Comment: Diane, Thank you very much for the nice paper pieced mini quilt !
It's really cute and makes me want to do some paper piecing too !
I'm sorry for the late rate but I had a trouble with my internet connection up to now.
Comment: Came home late last night to find your block in my mailbox. Perfect! I love the brightness. I am glad to see you swapping again! BTW- Mail has slowed down quite a bit. Last week, a letter from my father took 10 days to get to me from CA. Kinda sucks when you are trying to plan something with someone who can't use a phone and doesn't use the computer anymore!
Comment: Hello TC! :o) I'm really sorry. I thought thee already evaluated. I think I must have forgotten to click somewhere. -- So again... -- I received your 4 beautiful coasters February 16. I love the vinyl that you have chosen. Pink and red as it was imposed... with brown. An association that I love! You have read my profile, is not it? ;o) Thank you very much! Again sorry for the delay in my rating. Hugs. [Edit] Oops, I forgot to thank you also for the cute little folded card.
Response: Thank you, dear. I was worried that they had gotten lost over the Atlantic. :)
Comment: What a cute card! I LOVE it! I never thought of using a piece of ribbon in the window. Oh, now I'll have to make some more. Thank you so much! : )
Response: Those were a lot of fun to make; thanks again for hosting! I was afraid I wouldn't have enough little bits and bobs to put in the window, but I was pleasantly surprised to find how little it took to make a cute card. :)
Comment: Diane! I LOVE the apple mini you sent. I got it in the mail yesterday and I've been trying to find the right place in my sewing room to hang it. Swell is one of my favs! Thanks for putting so much thought into my quilt.
Response: Well, any swapper than can recommend a good quilt shop deserves something special. :) Thanks for the rating and kind words.
Comment: Thank you so much for the really great star block!!! It is so me! Did you know I saw the block in the Flickr Pool and commented on how great colors were before I knew it was mine? I love the little starfish! Thanks again, the block is AWESOME!
Response: LOL, I did see your comment, but I didn't realize you were unaware it was yours! I thought, "Dang it, there's a surprise spoiled." :) Well, I'm very glad you like it. I chose those fabrics because you like colors and things related to the sea. Thanks so much for rating and for the nice comment.
Comment: Your swap arrived, and I was tickled to find such a neat assortment of envelopes. My favorites are the one made from the childrens' book and the Pepperidge Farm oatmeal cookie ad. (Which made me crave cookies, of course!) I often include a note in my swaps, so the smaller envelopes will be perfect for that, too. Thank you! :)
Response: Glad you like them! Thanks for rating and for the heart. :)
Comment: Fabulous, of course! Sorry for the late rating - it arrived just as I was heading out for the holidays. We'll definitely have to keep an eye out for shop hop opportunities - in fact, I bet I go pretty close to you when I hit Gainesville & Whitesboro!
Comment: Thanks for the card with the adorable photo of Moe. He is so cute!!! We love the wineries around here, too... lots of fun events where you go to all 16 on the Cayuga Wine Trail. Happy Holidays!
Comment: Diane, I ADORE this little Christmas quilt! It is so cute and very well made. Perfect for the season! I went to the post office and sent mine off, came home and yours to me was in the mailbox! Thanks so much for swapping...I love it!
Response: I'm so happy that you like it. I thought the pattern was very cute! Thanks for your kind words and the rating. :)
Comment: Thank you for the lovely bookmarks. I'll be sad to release them, but that is the point after all. By the way, how do you get that swirly look in the mod podge (or whatever sealant it is) - is that just from brush strokes? It adds a nice texture.
Response: Thank you for your kind words! Yes, the swirl marks are just from the brush. I used Lumitex gel medium (gloss).
Comment: Wow! I just LOVED all the fabric you sent me! Thank you so very much, they are all beautiful. I love the color combination and the patterns. You have a great taste. Thank you for your generosity. Best wishes for you.
Response: You're welcome. :) Thank you for the kind words and the heart.
Comment: Oh My Goodness!! this is sooo amazing!!! i know it took me awhile to rate you, i'm sorry, but i got it about a week or so ago, i wanted to hold it while i told you how fantastic it is! i love the colors, and i love the fabric!! it's perfect, i love the quilted pattern and the pocket, and the button to close it, and i love alll the colors, i love that it's reusable!!! thank you soo much, it's sooo perfect and just to my tastes!!! i wish i could give you ten thousand hearts!
Response: LOL! I'm really glad you like it. I only had just that little bit of that fabric - providentially, just enough for this particular project. It just seemed perfect for YOU. Thanks for your enthusiastic comment, the 5, and the heart. :)
Comment: WOW, what a fabulous quilt block Diane, it's so cool. I love it and it will fit in so nicely in my quilt. Thank you for making such a nice block and doing such a wonderful job. Thanks also for the sweet little cards. I love handmade stuff and they are perfect.
Response: You're welcome. :) Thank you for taking the time to rate, and for the heart.
Comment: This is AMAZING. This is the best thing I have ever gotten from a swap. Now the pressure is really on-- what could I possibly send out that will be on the same level.....I agree toughest part is finding the shirt.
Response: Oh my, that is HIGH praise! Thank you. I'm very glad you like it. :)
Comment: The bookmarks are absolutely gorgeous! Thank you for paying such close attention to my profile. The re-velope is amazing! Did you make that yourself? I promise to reuse it, but I have to admitt, it's so cool I hate to get rid of it! :) The bookmarks are exactly my style. Thank you ever so much!
Response: Yay, it got there! I was a little concerned about the re-velope getting through the mail. Yes, I did make it. :) Glad you like the bookmarks!
Comment: I LOVE how your envelope came out!! It really brightened my day!! Sorry to be late in letting you know, but I've been a little brain-dead with the work with closing the tax offices for the year. I should have rated the same day I got it--it really is GREAT!! Thanks!!
Comment: Thank you very much for the fabric card...I love the sparkle and the color, great work! I'm sorry that I didn't rate sooner, I thought that I had, but maybe forgot to 'save ratings.' Best wishes for a happy spring, April showers bring May flowers.
Comment: Thank you for the beautiful quilt blocks. I love the black fabric with the white flowers that has the red flowing through it. All 3 of my choice colors were contained in just that one fabric. thanks!
Response: I loved that fabric the moment I saw it. I used some of it for a Valentine quilt block swap, and now I wish I had bought more of it!!
Comment: Thank you sooooooo much. I just love love love everything. If I could give you more hearts I would. What adorable mouse material. I have hung them right here in front of me on the wall by the computer. I have put my drawing pencils in one, my two mice stuffies I have received in another and the other is reserved for a very special mouse that I am expecting in the mail. Thank you again. I just love them and the cards too!
Response: Oh YAY!! I was hoping you'd like them. :) You have NO idea how hard it is to find mouse-themed fabric! LOL!
Comment: WOW! Awesome package! I can't wait to try it - just the packaging looks delicious :) Thank you so much.
So many similarities - it really is a small world. God Bless and Go Stars (and Flyers of course) Susan
