Comment: Mary, your background is simply lovely...now to figure out how to create a finished product that will show it off without completely covering it up! Thank you for being such a nice swap partner!
Comment: In my culture dragonflies are loved ones that have passed on sending the message that they are there and see you. The fact that yours says “just smile” brought me to tears. I know these will find a place on some of my future swaps...thank you!

Comment: Thank you for the great ATC. Love the background and the flowers and the colours. Well done! Here we have had a thunderstorm and a 3 1/2 hour blackout for the beginning of our summer. Comment: Mary, this book is really special. Your MM techniques really shine here. Love the little pocket, the Kraft pages and how you closed it with magnets. How did you do that? Can you glue them? The book is already in my purse ;+)
Response: So glad you like it!! The magnets come with a sticky back, but I also used glue.
Comment: Hi Mary! I got your wonderful journal page today and really liked it! It turned out very much like the tutorial, which is often not the case with my pages! Nice balance and use of color and the black petals really pop off the page. And the envelope you sent it in is so great - I assume you made that? I'm going to keep it for inspiration! Thanks for a great swap!!

The colors and composition, and the 'feel' of the images was so impressive; this is definitely 'a keeper'!! Thank you also for the extra items you included, but the artwork alone, and the creative energy and time you put into it was what earned the heart. I'd give you more if swap-bot didn't limit me to one heart! Thank you again!!!

Comment: Thanks for a most excellent ATC. That has been my motto these last few months after the fire. Just keep moving forward. Was saddened to see what you paid to mail this. I am sorry you were hit with such a cost to mail one card.
Response: I'm glad you like it! I don't often get hit with such a high postage rate, so I'll just chalk this one up to not paying attention to where I'm sending things. :)
Comment: I love this color combination. Great use of elements and a phrase the lady at exercise class is always telling us to do! I was happy to get to see the Jane Davenport washi tape on the envelope-I haven't been to Micheals since it has come out but have seen pictures on the internet and looks gorgeous! Thanks for sharing!
Comment: Thank you so much for the beautiful ATC and all-around wonderful swap! I love the colorful envelope you made and you did an amazing job with this technique, I struggled with it a LOT. Comment: Dear Mary, Well I apologize for the mixup. I forgot when I signed up that I was to make two ATCs instead of one. But I did receive your steampunk heart and loved it! The tissue paper background is really interesting in texture and color - have never tried something like this before. But it turned out really well on your ATC. And the steampunk bird is amazing! Did you make it or did it come like that? I have an assortment of gears in different sizes so might try attaching them to another object to create something like your bird! Cheers - Laurie
Response: I'm so glad you like it! That technique is one of my faves for backgrounds. I bought the bird at hobby lobby in the jewelry section. There is some cool stuff in that section perfect for ATCs.
Comment: This is BY FAR my absolute favorite ATC in my collection: the colors, the pattern, THE QUOTE.... thank you Mary. This made me smile. I hope we get paired up again for ATC swaps. The majority of the ATC's I receive are not quite the caliber I would rather see and THIS one fits the bill. FANTASTIC. Take care and happy swapping, Dawn
Response: Oh my gosh, thanks so much! I had fun making these and will use that technique again for sure.
Comment: Mary, I love the background results you got with this method. Is the flower hand drawn? I'm getting an inclination to venture into learning to draw, possibly even finding a continuing education drawing class at the two nearby community colleges. I have to get up enough courage to let anyone else see my drawing! Silly of me, I know!
Have a Merry Chritmas!
Response: This particular flower is a stamp that I painted with acrylics, but I gave done some hand drawing. You just have to go for it!! Thanks for the heart and Merry Christmas!
Comment: Beautiful work Mary. I adore the envie and it has spurred me on to bigger and better. I just love all 3 of the 4x4's and even considering framing them all together. What pen do you use if I might ask. Your work rocks! Thank you for a great swap. Hugs, Mona

Comment: Mary, I love your 4x4 pieces! Beautiful MM work. I've seen your work before and know you're great with MM. My favorite little element is the diamonds you highlighted with a marker...funny how the tiny things can really finish a piece off beautifully. Many thanks
Response: I'm so glad you like them! MM is my favorite kind of art to create, so I get lots of practice. Those diamond stamps were a last minute addition. I'm glad you like them! :)

Comment: Beautiful piece! I love those paints, I am going to have to hunt down some now - the patina finish they gave is so beautiful. I really love this card. Thanks so much!
Edited to remove the "comment" the cat made when she jumped for joy over this card and landed on the computer just as I was posting. ;)
Response: I'm so glad you like it! I got the paints from TENSeconds studio by way of Donna Downey's webpage, I think. They are too cool. :)
Comment: Omg...how could you part with this beautiful piece of art? I've studies every millimeter of it....those tiny clouds...what!? Love how you did the owl...I just have no words...I'm just amazed! This will be on my art desk to inspire me every day. Thanks bazillions for sharing your creativity with me!
Response: Thanks for the great compliments! I am so glad you like it. :)
Comment: I love the way your tag turned out! I had none of the blueprint stamp sets yet so had to hand draw and improvise in other ways which still worked out nicely, but I love the sewing machine stampe and that you did actually sew around the card. I've had problems with my bobbin when I've tried in the past, so this time just used a template to get nice even drawn-on faux stitches. But you are right--this was one of the easiest tags this year, in essence, but without the proper supplies, it was a challenge. But that's what our group is about: Tim Holtz Challenges! Thanks for a treat swap!.
Response: Thanks do much for the heart! I'm glad you like it!
Comment: Thank you for the beautiful ATC. I saw it on your profile but it is much nicer in person. I love all the detailed texture and printed/painted splatter in the background -- lots of visual interest. The daisy is sweet and I like how you just colored the wings on the bee. Thanks for joining my swap and for sending such a lovely card! <3<3<3
Response: You are so welcome! Thanks for hosting a great swap!
Comment: This is a really great collage love the title you gave I and the bits of g45 ... Thanks as well for the g45 bits you sent.. I use g45 in most of my swaps..love the colors and designs... Thanks again
Response: You are so welcome! And thanks for the heart!
Comment: Hi Mary, sorry for this late rating. Your bookmark is super great! I admire your talent. At the moment I'm reading the book that won the annual big literature prize here, the Finlandia prize. Your bookmark fits perfectly to that book :-) My sons want to read the book after me, I'll lend the bookmark as well. Many thanks!
Response: Thanks for the heart! I'm glad you like it. It's always fun to share. :)
Comment: O. M. G!!! You are the most amazing SWP partner! Thank you for the ATC backgrounds, prints, and the napkin. The envie is incredible... The whole thing left me speechless! Then you for joining my swaps!
Response: Thanks so much for your compliments! I love sending out happy mail!
Comment: Hi Mary! Thank you SO much for the neat bookmark! You used your paint chips differently than I did and it was great to see a different interpretation. LOVE my name stamped down the side and your fiber/ribbon is beautiful. I'm also CRAZY about the paper you wrapped it in! Very creative and pleasing . . . what fun for me!
Response: Yay! I'm so glad you like it. I had fun making it. The paper it was wrapped in is deli paper I used on my gelli plate. I love that fiber/ ribbon, too. Enjoy!
Comment: Mary, I love your ATC--especially the background! Is that with your gelli plate? I don't have one and don't really know how they work but have to find out because I'm getting really pretty backgrounds from other swappers using a gelli plate. Thanks so much and have a Merry Christmas!
Response: Yes, the small paper was cut from a pull off my gelli plate. I actually have 3 gelli plates! I have a 3x5 one that is great for ATCs! Thanks for th great rating!
Comment: what a great ATC - I loved it - butterfly was terrific, did you color it or did it come that way? What is the ATC coated with? I am looking for new techniques. Thanks for this swap. Your Bot Buddy, Phyllis
Response: The background is just watered down acrylics and a stencil of flowers and the butterfly I colored with Spectrum Noir alcohol ink pens. I'm so glad you like it! Thanks for the great rating!
Comment: I really like this ATC but one small thing all of the Microbeads came off in transit :( I am not sure what they were supposed to be on the card. The octopus charm is adorable and the background is really neat.
Response: OMG! They were supposed to be seaweed plants. I've done that technique before without a problem. :( See my Flickr link on my profile to see your ATC before I sent it. Do you want a resend?
Comment: Thank you for the wonderful ATC. Can you message me what you used on the orange flowers to give them the dimension and shine? I recognized the glass bead medium on the edges, one of my favorite mediums to use!
Response: I'm so glad you like it! Thanks for the heart!
Comment: Mary, I love the way your background turned out and Tim's umbrella man is one of my favorites. It was the first stamp set I got. I love the way it works with the quote and your title it perfect for what you created! You did an excellent job! And I got to receive it! Thanks very much! Hope you have a good week!
Response: Thanks for the lovely compliments! I love Tim Holtz stuff, too. So much fun!
Comment: What an AWESOME ATC!!!! It makes me happy just looking at it. It is bright and fun and you are so talented. I have a scrapbook where I keep all my ATC's but I have decided to leave this one out on my little table for awhile just because it makes me smile. Thank you for making this swap special and also for the extra goodies.
Response: Thanks for the nice compliment! I'm glad you like it that much. :)
Comment: Mary, this card shines bright in my collection for all the care and effort you put into it. It's a wonderful card; thank you very much. And thanks for the extra papers. Thanks to you and others, I'm collecting a very good selection of background papers to use on my ATCs and other works.
Response: Oh, I'm so glad you like it! Thanks for the heart!
Comment: Great ATC-took me awhile to figure out the sapphire mist but then I held it just right in the light and how gorgeous! Love the gears and clock image-I like that kind of stuff in steampunk. Thanks for swapping-I don't care how many times!
Response: Thanks for the great rating! I'm glad you like the ATC. :)
Comment: I really liked your bleached ATC! And I know what you mean about finding the "right" black card stock.....I had about 3 or 4 attempts myself. One even turned blue, which was pretty! Thanks for a nice swap!
Response: I'm glad you like it! Thanks for rating!
Comment: Thank you for the two beautiful backgrounds. You definitely picked my favorite color combinations. I agree that spray inks are lots of fun (as is using stained paper towels and baby wipes as bases). Thanks for the details on your creations -- you did a fabulous job! <3<3<3
Response: So glad you like them! I was a fun challenge to do. Thanks for the heart!
Comment: You got a lot done in 5 minutes! I've gotten cards in free theme swaps that had a lot less work put into them than you managed in that super short time. I'll be hosting another round of timed challenges soon, I hope you'll come play again!
Response: That was an awesome challenge! Thanks for the great rating and heart!

Response: So glad you like it! It was fun to make!
Comment: Thank you for the lovely ATC and the extras! :) I've dreamed of alcohol inks for a while too, but over here they are ridiculously expensive! Oh well, there's a lottery every weekend... ;) Haha. Well, maybe the best option is just to not buy the whole package of each color, but one every now and then. :P Have a great day! :)
Response: I'm so glad you like it! I have to buy mine a little at a time here, too. Thanks for hosting!
Comment: Thanks. Unfortunately some of the stars arms did not survive. Even tho you had it marked to hand cancel, and it was, at some point it went thru a machine. There is a "barcode" imprinted on the bottom of the envelope.and on the back! One would think with the cost of postage, they would read!!! But enough is still intact for me to see your great creativity. Thanks for the papers too.
Response: So sorry the postal system had it for lunch! :( Thanks for rating!
Comment: WOW!!!!! What an amazing ATC!!! Extraordinary beyond words. It is amazing to see all the different materials and techniques you have used to create this. I absolutely treasure it. Thank you!!!!!
Response: Thanks for the great rating and and wonderful comments! I am glad you like it so much!

Response: So glad they got there! Thanks for the great rating!
Comment: I love all the pinks especially the glittery ones and the hearts, the stamped image is really nice, thank you. I have no toys had to get out pots pans spoons and plastic spice bottles to entertain 3 year old boy for 2 hrs had forgotten how much energy boys require, thanks for the pinks
Comment: Hi Mary,
Thanks for the lovely swap! I enjoyed your note. I Loved the ATC and the extra ATC paper and was thrilled to get the kitty in the dresser drawer, How neat!! Thank you very much for a great swap! :)
Comment: OH-I love the quotes of Helen Keller too-very nice vintage looking ATC-thanks for the interesting extra-bet that one is an alcohol ink one you did from a bigger piece? The quote I have by hellen keller that hang in my room is"We can do anything we want to if we stick to it long enough" Thanks for swapping and sharing!
Response: So glad you like it! I can't remember extra that is, but I didn't make it. I do have some alcohol paints to test out though. lol
Comment: what a beautiful ATC, makes me wonder if mine was good enough. You did such a good job. thank you. I love making ATC's little pieces of art. And it is so much fun to see where they come from. We have many talented people on Swap-bot. I gave you a heart, you deserved it and thanks for the extras, I will put them in my stashe. LOL
Response: You are so welcome! Thanks for the nice comment and the heart!
Comment: Hi there, Marymary! Thank you so much for the great 15 minute atc! It would have taken me more than 15 min. just to think up the theme - and another hour just to find the supplies! (I just grabbed stuff off my craft table to make mine and still probably took a little longer than 15 min. But I'll deny that if any one asks!)
Response: I'm so glad you like it! It may have taken me 16 minutes, but I won't tell... ;)
Comment: Thanks for the ticket. I was a dud but I've never seen that kind of scratch off before, so it was interesting!! One of the games I was thiiiiis close to winning $24,000...and on another $2. I just needed one more to have 3 that matched. Isn't that always how it goes though. lol
Comment: Hi Mary: What fun I had playing & scratching the lottery tickets you sent to me in this swap. Sorry to say, I didn't win anything, but half the fun with these tickets is the excitement and suspense of possibly (hopefully) winning. Im sorry it took me such a long time to rate your swap. My very best friend passed away totally unexpectedly and I haven't even had much of a chance to get online lately, so I hope you understand.
I enjoyed having you for a swap sister. I hope you had good luck with your lottery tickets. Take care, and many thanks to you again! Hugs, Carol
Comment: These recipes look great and I am very intrigued by the Cinnamon Basil Fruit Salad. I have not thought to put those two flavors together, I cannot wait to try. Thanks for the really nice recipes - Anna
Response: Mmmm, that one is my favorite! I get many compiments when I make it.
