Comment: Thank you for your package. :-) The bushfires are all under control now. Now there are floods in some of those same areas. They're a long way from where we live, but we have friends in some of the affected areas. Fortunately none have lost there homes.
Comment: Thanks so much for the answers! and the stamps (we do love our vintage postage!!!) My daughter is a teacher . . I understand how you always feel like you want to do just a little more! Cheers! KC
Comment: hi Rhonda! I'm absolutely charmed by your letter <3 I will be writing back soon! While I will reply to your words in written form, I would like to let you know that the teas you included look wonderful! I've never seen bamboo tea before, and I'm hype to try it (:
Response: I look forward to hearing from you! And yeah, it's the only bamboo tea I've tried -let's see what you think.
Comment: Thank you for the great fruit postcard. I've never eat passion fruit, but always want to try. Maybe this year I will do it ;) I love stamps on that PC and that you were using a purple pen to write my addy and a note for me. I love purple color ;) Happy 2020!
Comment: Hi Rhonda! Thank you for your very newsy letter and for the cute stickers you enclosed. Those did not come in my December pkg and I love them. Here's to another year of pen-pal-ing and getting to know each other even better. Happy holidays!
Comment: Rhonda...your card was cute and I enjoyed reading your letter. I an relate to what you were saying about the school year and studengts...one of my sisters is also a school teacher at an elementary school. Happy Holidays!
Comment: Hi Rhonda! What an amazing postcard from Jordan. I've never been there, it must be so exotic. And how did you know that I am so fond of sunflowers (cute sticker :) Bike locks are a great thing for a library to loan out. And toys too, very cool!
Comment: Hi Rhonda! I can't believe you can check out toys, bike locks, and Laptops at your library! I will have to see if my library does that too! We can borrow games from the library here at our community center. I am so jealous you had a bookmobile next to your house! We had to wait for it to come to our school once a year!! Thank you for the lovely SF card you sent the info on too. <3
Comment: Nice postcard! I went to the tea garden as a child and then again when in SF for a conference as a grad student (over 20 years ago, same as you). On the first visit we bought origami paper and a book and folded in the car on the drive home to New Mexico :^)
Comment: (((Rhonda!))) Thank you so much for the adorable dog card and stickers. I work with a bunch of squares who don't dress up or do anything fun for the holidays, so I'm glad you get to dress us and have fun with your students. Yay! Happy Halloween!
Comment: Thanks so much fr the fab assortment- it's funny because half is what I sent! Those planets are one my favorites, and I was actually three shoes short from a project I was working on-it's like you read my mind!
Comment: Hi Rhonda -- thanks for the stamps. The deermouse is so cute,a nd I really like the highway beautification one. Next month is the odd stamp-collector show I go to -- I stock up on cheap vintage postage there. Always love to see which "new" old stamps are available.
Comment: Thanks for the wonderful stamps, post cards, and the envelope! Yes, the Woodstock stamp is awesome with its embossing. I haven't seen one before. I really appreciate both of the swaps that you sent.
Comment: Thanks for the blind envie teas and the little stickers too! The wild Orange Tazo I have after my session at just float. I enjoy it plain and simple. The washi you used to tape the teas down is super cute. I’ll have to look for some of that.
Comment: Aw, I love this swap. The postcards you sent are perfectly in line with what I love and I really appreciate that touch. And yes, weather for Outside Lands was great! But it blows my mind how SF can go from sunny and warm to foggy and chilly so fast! Anyways--thank you for your honesty with the challenge. I hope you had a nice vacation wherever you went, and I totally get how that can throw a wrench in your spokes. I wish you lots of luck if you decide to keep pursuing it. Thank you!!
Comment: Yes! Thank you for sending some happy mail my way, Rhonda! You did indeed bring cheer into the day, but not just a little. A lot!!! I love the Scout postage stamps most especially - I didn’t have the Boy Scout you sent me, nor the great lighthouse (Nat’l parks) on that’s a 4-part postage stamp. Thank you, thank you, thank you so very much!
Response: Oh good, it didn't go missing. That Boy Scout stamp is a beaut, right? Take care!
Comment: Rhonda, thank you so much for the lovely stickers you sent! Really love them!! Thanks so much for reading my profile and choosing the stickers according to my likes. I really appreciate that a lot!
Comment: Hi Rhonda! Thank you so much for the summery stamps, I love them, especially the beach with the umbrella on it! I hadn’t seen those before. Also those little stickers of Bay area landmarks are awesome! ☺️❣️📮
Comment: Rhonda, I love your zine! I especially love the dog page and the library page :) I love my local library, and I could spend hours there just browsing the shelves! Thank you for a wonderful and inspiring zine! Happy Swapping.
Comment: Rhonda! 😍 what great stamps!! Thank you!! I love that you included some fern ones and the Greta Garbo one is beautiful, I hadn’t seen that one before. Cheers and have a beautiful day! So good to see you last weekend.
Comment: Everything got here safely!!! Thank you so very much for the extra goodies! I went to the Charles M. Schulz museum once when I was little and I've been dying to go back!!! Thank you so much for the postcard I ADORE it!
Comment: I got your card today, at last. I know you've sent it in time, but the address was written wrong, and so the card has been traveling around the world. There's a stamp on front that says "TO UGANDA", and on the back another one with the text "Kampala Sorting Office, Uganda", plus a sticker that says the address has been solved by finnish postal service. Must say it's the most interesting card I've got so far :D Anyway, it's here now, and your new habits sound great! I hope you're still continuing on the same path :) PS. I'm having a break from Facebook too, since the beginning of last December. It sure gives more time for other things!
Response: Forgive my error, please, although it did add a bit of entertainment to the whole endeavor, it seems ;) And... I'm staying strong and ignoring FB. Good for us!
Comment: Great handmade envie, terrific stamps, & wonderful cards! Thanks, Rhonda. I don't watch TV so I'm not familiar with Bob's Burgers, but the cartoon characters are a hoot. An extra ♥ for the lenticular Peace & Love!
Comment: Thank you for the resend! The beagle looks and sounds like a great dog to own and I may consider it when I get a puppy in the future. I have some fun dog memories with my current dog - Gina. She is Bolognese, 18 years old, still jumping and playing :)
Comment: Hope that you are feeling better. Thanks for the card. My neighbour has a spaniel. He has all kinds of spinal problems and has to wear a special harness/ brace when they take him out. Best wishes
Comment: Rhonda - I just wanted to hug you after reading this notecard. Thank you for sharing with me. We are about the same age, if you ever want to penpal or private swap, let me know! (Also loved the notecard and info about Petaluma).
Response: I'd really enjoy some penpal goodness coming my way. I'm in!
Comment: Hi Rhonda -- thanks for the great card of Jorie Graham in NYC (I was just in NYC last weekend -- amazing how clean and fancy it all seems now, haha. Though still free to walk around!) I have not seen ROMA yet and am super annoyed with myself that I missed seeing it in the theater. I'm hoping it might come back, post-Oscar wins. If not, then I'll catch it for sure on Netflix. it looks fantastic! Best, al
Comment: What a cutie!! My next dog is going to be a boxer! Thank you!
Response: I bought that notecard from a local animal rescue group. No boxer for me. I have a crazy Africanis (I'd never heard of the breed before we got her from someone who was leaving the country), but I've heard boxers are wonderful companions.
Comment: Thank you so much for the fantastic postage stamps and the note about your choices! I was super excited to see the hot air balloons :) I've been eyeing them on eBay for a while now :D I also love how you decorated the envelope! Happy Swapping, Penelope
Comment: Rhonda thank you so much for all the goodies! I love the stickers and clips and of course I can always use stamps. I really enjoyed reading your list . I agree with everyone of the things on your list! My nephew is 20 but I want to spend more time with him. I want to try pocket letters but afraid to take the first leap. Cooking, games, walking. Keeping work worries in check as a teacher is a really tough one for sure. I also ordered the book you’re reading. Can’t wait to get it!
Comment: Thank you so much for your letter, the teas, and the amazing postcard! It's always neat to get to know fellow teachers! I'm teaching 6th grade ESOL right now, and love it! I listened to that song you recommended by The Beths - very nice! It reminds me a bit of a girl group I loved from the late 90s/early 2000s - Cub, but The Beths definitely seem more grown up. Amazing that you got to go to Paisley Park! I love Prince! And I definitely try to leave "work" at work most of the time. It's hard, though, as it's in our nature to care more and agonize over everything. Good luck with the rest of your year and I hope we swap again soon! Thanks for the vintage stamps and handmade envie too!
Comment: I absolutely LOVED the stamps you sent, the glassine pouch with vintage post-fox, the amazing stamps and how you took the time to describe why you love each one! There is no way I can part with any of them! They are all beautiful! Thank you so much for sharing (that must have been hard)!
I also really liked how you recycled the classroom handout to make the pretty, purple envie! Thank you for all the effort you put into this swap! I appreciate it very much!
Response: Thanks for making my day, week, month with your lovely comments!
Comment: Hi Rhonda! Love the pc and Happy New Year to you as well! I hope you get help with the migraines, thankfully I have never had one but have heard they can be debilitating - ouch! Wishing you all the best in the new year! Hugs and Happy Swapping! ;)

I am going to reply soon :)
Comment: Thank you so much for your letter Rhonda! and I loved the polaroid of the Doggie Diners and I will definitely be looking up the history of John Law! :) Also, sorry for the events on the website not being posted yet. Stay tuned for February, as our January event is currently full, and sign up for our newsletter on our website to be in the loop too, only if you would like to be. Cheers, thanks again! xo
Comment: WOW, super cool cards, thanks Rhonda! I love all these cards, esp Frida. Good luck with the martial arts. My daughter is a brown belt in Tae kwon do and it has done a lot for her .There are people of all ages in her classes and I love the belt tests, I get very emotional watching people progress and persevere. Happy 2019 :):):)
Comment: Many thanks and many smiles from this swap. Those COCO stickers are so great, I love that style. Lovely selection and so much variety. My calendar pages are gonna shine this month. Best on your resolutions!
Comment: Thank you for the wonderful assortment of teas! I don't have any of these and can't wait to try them. It is a small world! You are correct, it was the tea theme that drew me to make a pocket letter. Happy New Year.
Comment: Hi Rhonda! I love, love, love the Christmas card - it just totally made my day! Thank you for the stickers as well! Wishing you and yours a Very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! Hugs and Happy Swapping! ;)
Response: Your sweet comments have made my day! All the best to you this holiday season <3
Comment: Hi Rhonda! Loved your postalette - it was so cheerful looking! Your Thanksgiving meal sounds tasty, not everything has to be traditional and if you enjoyed it, that's what matters! We did the traditional meal but the hubby is in charge of the turkey and thankfully, it always turns out just right - left to me, that might not be the case! LOL! That would be strange seeing folks in masks at the movies but I am sure everyone is worried about the poor air quality - I hated reading and seeing about the fires - such a sad situation for everyone involved! Oh a lighter note, I hope you enjoyed your time off work and that you & yours have a wonderful holiday season! Hugs and Happy Swapping! ;)
Comment: Thank you for the PC. I love the wallpaper on the front. I'm rating on the resend but what's funny is the resend PC is answering the wrong prompt question! Lol! I think Lincoln would make a fascinating dinner companion too.
Response: Again, thanks for your kindness with this swap and my confusion. Happy Thanksgiving!
Comment: Hi Rhonda! Thank you so much for the beautiful postcard! I love Georgia O'Keeffe, I had to wait to rate you because our neighbors had your postcard and didn't bother to bring it over right away. My apologies! Happy swapping!
Comment: Hi Rhonda! Thank you for being such a wonderful partner for this swap. I really looked forward to your letters each week. I do intend to write back; I've just been so busy with other things. You really made this a fun swap for me!
Response: This was a great swap to participate in. Thanks for your kind words. I look forward to hearing from you via letter.
Comment: Thanks Rhonda! We are So Cal mostly. I’ve only been to SF once when I was a junior in high school then passed thru once as an adult but we’d like to visit some day. I’ll have to try your recommendations! And such a cute postcard!
Comment: Thanks for the dachshund!! I didn’t realize they were originally from Germany, but I’ve should have because of the spelling. My best friend has a dachshund named Tobey, who has more medical issues than I’ve ever heard of, but he is just always so happy to be around, always smiling. Best to you! xoxo
Comment: waow, I wish I could give more than one heart, such a wonderful card! I'm familiar with Mapplethorpe's photography, I like it a lot, although I've never been exposed to it in an exhibition, that must have been intense! And also the stamps, the are so gorgeous. This is a perfect swap
Comment: I love the look of whippets, and greyhounds, but we've never had one. Most of our dogs were mutts or looked like German Shepherds! Nala sounds like she is a cool dog, and well loved! Thank you!
Comment: Thank you so much for the beautiful Lighthouse card! I'm amazed it got here. The paper is peeled and all that remains in the address area is: Diane, 125, Houston, Tx 77070. No street showing or last name, it don't even have all the numbers. Maybe hubby was right when he said "Everybody" at the postoffice knows me. LOL!
Comment: Thank you for the adorable Chihuahua PC and great backstory on your username. I have a kind Postcrossing Friend named Veronica so it struck a warm chord with me:) ...( tip: I didn’t understand what prompt you were writing about- had to log in to find out. Perhaps adding the prompt to the card is helpful). It was really great though! Thank you for resending. Happy Swapping
Comment: After a long week I got to the mailbox yesterday - a Great Mail Day! Thanks so much for brightening my day with such a fun envelope. I love all the colorful goodies inside, from the washi tape to the stickers to the great postcard of the car fender polaroid. I'll have a grand time using it all. Thanks again!
Comment: Hi Rhonda thank you for the cacti PC and the variety of postage stamps. Esp. like the cactus stickers you used :) I'll join you with the happy dance just because the sunshine is coming back this weekend on the Island and it wont be cloudy/rainy/windy for awhile...and I'm heading to the beach :) Take good care peace love light
Comment: Absolutely loved the bookmark selection. As an aside - and this has never happened to me in a lifetime of mail - I caught the hair-on-end shivers while examining the package. Not sure what to make of it - thanks:-) lol
Response: Shivers of delight?! Glad you liked the bookmarks. Take care!
Comment: I absolutely love the colorful postcard with the Lady Rainacorn. I confess I have never heard of this before and will surely look it up. Looks like fun! Cute colourful decorations on the back as well (including the stamp ;)) Much appreciated! Thanks <3
Comment: WOW... This was such a wonderful swap. from the stickers and wash to the stamps and note card - everything is so cute. O love the way you made the sleeve to put some of the goodies in, Bravco... thank you
Comment: Yes we met again! Thanks so much for the nice stickers. I love the recycled little envie with a window you put them in~Great idea! I will never miss a chance to make those kind of envies from now on! I like the big story book envie you made too! Such a HAPPY swap!
Comment: Thank you for the card! I'm sorry for rating so late - I had two unfortunate losses in my family and have been traveling around the country for funerals and memorials. What a treat to come home to some happy mail! The stamps you sent were fantastic, too! I wish the USPS hadn't cancelled them so crudely with a thick black marker. No matter! Your card made me smile. :)
Comment: Thank you for the teas and card, Rhonda! First of all your envelope is gorgeous, I really like how you made it. The card and sticker are also very pretty and I always love when there are extra things in a swap. The teas are just wonderful. I've never received such a wide range of teas and I can't wait to try them all! I tried only The Irish Breakfast tea for now and it was very enjoyable. Thank you so much <3
Comment: I have not seen "Helvetica" yet but it's been on my radar for some time! I don't have TV or Netflix so it might be a while before I finally watch it, haha. But thanks for the interesting card! I love it!
Response: I looked at Seattle's public library catalog and they have the DVD of the doc (11 holds/1 copy), so if you have a desktop/laptop that can handle a DVD, you could be on your way! As for the PC, part of a Robert Mapplethorpe box I bought after the Getty exhibit a couple of summers ago - your profile told me you might appreciate it! Take care!
Comment: Another great swap from you. Thank you so much. That B&W view from the Golden Gate Bridge is amazing. Never seen it before & I love it. I once lived in Sausalito, right on the waterfront, so I've walked, cycled & driven across that bridge many times. Appreciate your thoughtful selection of cards, the cool envelope & stamps. Happy New Year!
Comment: Due date was the 5th and it was mailed on the 7th. I received it a couple days after I should have opened your teas. But I appreciated your message to let me know you were sending late. When received, I thought your clever use of washi tape and overall presentation was so thoughtful. Worth the wait. Also, my favorite tea from this swap so far came in your package: Russian Caravan. I loved it so much I've already ordered some off of Amazon. Love that I was able to find a new favourite tea through this swap. Heart for you for that!!
Response: I appreciate your forgiveness. I did, as you mention above, message you to let you know a migraine had me down and out for 2 days. I hope you enjoy good health this season and beyond.
Comment: Ho ho ho hello,
Thank you for the wonderful animals and santa sleigh card. I love animals involved in Christmas cards. There was even a little mouse. Eek! Love itâ¤ï¸â¤ï¸â¤ï¸â¤ï¸â¤ï¸
Comment: Thank you for the beautiful card! I feel ya on those fires; we had some huge ones here in Oregon, one of which was within a mile of my favorite places here. Several completely wiped out areas my husband and I wanted to visit. Thankfully we've been getting a lot of rain and some really hard frosts.
Comment: Thank you! Especially for the ruler from London. I collect six-inch rulers and really any kind of rulers, but I started with six-inch ones. So now I have another to add to my collection from a city I really enjoy!
Response: That's great to hear! I was cleaning out boxes I'd stored in my garage and came across souvenirs from my last trip to London. Glad to move it along to someone who appreciates it:)
Comment: Hi Rhonda! What a fun bunch of goodies ;+) I love all the stickers (I use them on mail art), the letterpress notecard and am C R A Z Y for the Alcatraz PC! I really appreciate you taking tie to look at my profile and send things you knew I would love!
Comment: Great postcard- I used to house set for a friend and pet set her Bichon Frise named Tilly on Thanksgiving weekend for years. Thx for making the PC special with washi tape , friendly note, dog sticker and dog postage stamp.
Comment: I love how you decorated the envelope. I got very lucky with this swap and got two people who took the time to make pretty mail. :) Thanks for the 5 beautiful stamps on the envelope although it was supposed to be more than 5, I found the swap name made it very easy to make that mistake as I almost did the exact same thing. Thanks for the bookmarks and super pretty dessert postcard. They made my day! <3
Comment: Hi Rhonda -- thanks for the great BINGO cards. A really nice selection. I'm from San Fran decades ago, and I remember that older version of Powell Street before all the chain stores. All the best, al
Comment: Wow, a scaly critter AND a snake charmer. Love it! I've seen those painted storks in India too. They always reminded me of hunched-over old men wearing turbans :) Thanks for another great swap. PS: Love the stamps too!
Comment: I'm so sorry that it took me so long to rate you. I've been working 10-12 hour days/ 7 days a week for the last 6 weeks and things have been crazy!! Thank you for the cool card. I've never heard of your book, but I'm always looking for new books and authors. :-)

Comment: Wow...what a nice surprise! I had forgotten about this swap! You are such a lucky girl to have visited Frida and Diego's home! I hope to visit there next year. Thanks so much for the great postcards!
Comment: What a cute postcard! Thank you. I hope you had a great time at the parade - I have always wanted to attend a Boston teams parade - Bruins first, tho. I love hockey.. I hope you will have years of fun with your new fur baby, Nala.
Comment: Thank you for your thank you. Can you believe, we had a volunteer orientation for 22 new volunteers scheduled today, and NO ONE showed up?! Our volunteer coordinator was just heartbroken. I'm so glad the bunnies don't know of our human problems.
Comment: Hi Rhonda! It was great to visit with you again and thanks so much for the coloring pc! We do have a Half-Price Books store near us, so will be making a visit! I agree when the designs are too busy, it is not much fun for me, so I think the pc you sent will work great!! Hugs and Happy Swapping! ;)
Comment: Hope you had a wonderful Spring Break..Your class sounds like it really keeps you on your toes. And hope your week-end was even better. Love the note card and the surprise stamps inside. Have a great day every day. bearnbabs
Comment: This is not an awesome postcard.this is a smashing cool one. In total: BIG THANK YOU to you Ronda!!!! Oh what a fun to dress up like Rosie Riveter. I like the idea to step into her footsteps. By the way i really like the stamp collection. And now have a fabulous evening. :)

Greetings from Chile
Comment: Belated thank you for the spiffy Dearle/Morris/Victoria & Albert Museum card -- both the timeless, tapestry-like print and your wonderful decorations (including gorgeous vintage postage, the Youth Month and A Streetcar Named Desire) on the reverse! Just the other day, Final Jeopardy! had to do with the upcoming Tennessee Williams Festival :) So cool that you caught the Bob's Burgers cast in one of their live reading events! My sister and I would love to go one day, or even just to meet them at SDCC :) Hope you are well! It's always a joy to see you in my mailbox ♥
Response: Your posts are some of my faves! All is well here. Take care.
Comment: Rhonda, I love the cards you sent to fulfill this swap! Thanks so much for going with San Francisco and kitties ;+) The SF card of the bridge is such a historical image; it looks a lot different now! Fun fact: my daughter & her family live in SF and SO many of their pictures incorporate the famous bridge we have 'adopted' her as our 5th grandchild and call her, 'Bridget'! Great bunch of cards. p.s. your envelope was just fun! fun! fun!
Comment: Thank you for the nice letter! It's definitely fun to learn about others and the different lives that we all live. So much can be gained from appreciating differences I think! I lived in Northern CA for almost 7 years. I miss being by the ocean... :) Have a wonderful and HAPPY NEW YEAR!
Comment: This is such a sweet postcard. As happens at my house, the cat looks oblivious to the fact that he is sitting on some pretty nice posters or artwork! I'm more of a dog person, but my cats are funny! Thanks for the postcard!
Comment: Thank you for the ethereal Maxfield Parrish cover, Rhonda, and colorful stamps, stickers, and stamped images :) Ahhh, I am so glad you were able to see The Lion King then with your mom and more recently (and for free :) with your guy. You are so lucky to have seen Hedwig -- was it Darren Criss or Lena Hall in the title role? I am hoping to take my parents to see The Lion King for the first time when it comes here next month; Jersey Boys will be here for a week this month, and Beautiful lands in March. I'd love to see those, too! Hope you are well ♥
Response: Darren Criss was great in the role; I've watched the movie many times, so I was wondering how it would be to see someone other than JCM play Hedwig. DC is a native to San Francisco so that was a cool bonus. I loved Jersey Boys and my dad (RIP) even loved it, and he was never a musicals fan. Take care!
Comment: What a fabulous PC - I love it! I, too, enjoy photograph so am certain I would enjoy this museum. . . and the making umbrellas available due to the heat is ingenious and I'm sure the people appreciated it. Thanks again for a fabulous PC ~~
Comment: I hope you are happy with the results, or at least can make peace with it. I was pretty surprised but, as I think about it, hopeful. That's all we can be is hopeful because anything else doesn't contribute to the greater good. Thanks for the card!
Comment: Thank you! The first card arrived. (I think it is the first) I have seen the Babadook. It was creepy and the little boy in the movie made me so mad, haha. If I remember correctly he was a little brat. ;p
Response: That was the swap postcard you received. My mail service is the pits. A penpal in New Zealand told me mail usually takes a week to reach her from the US- mine took a month!
Comment: Hi Rhonda! Thanks so much for the awesome Halloween card! I am going to sent it to my Chemo Buddy and let her know it was handmade by you! Also going to take a photo and try to scraplift it next year! LOL! There is a reason I as once called Xerox! LOL! Thank you also for the great stickers, can always use those! Happy Halloween to you and yours!! I agree that fall is pretty cool but I don't like it getting dark so early either - sigh!! Hugs and Happy Swapping! ;)
Comment: I absolutely LOVE this postcard ! And the cute stickers you put on the back. Thank you so much !! My grandmas name is Anna ( she's 87) and she collects Raggedy Ann so this card made me think of her. You rock !!
Comment: I found it difficult to decide as well, but I chose Bill Gates for no specific reason: just seemed to be a good person to chat with - him and his wife. Thanks for the beautiful card, too! Love that silk fabric print!
Comment: Ahhhh! This card is definitely going on my mood board :) Belated thank you, thank you, thank you for the lovely blue and gold 18th-century British suit (yay, Hamilton! and yay, historical fashion/costume :) from the Met Museum (my favorite place in my favorite city :D *insert "The Schuyler Sisters," haha*), Frido Kahlo stamp, festive daisy sticker, gold chevron tape, and your answers -- I would love to chat with my pets, too, about why they act the way they do =^_^= Happy first day of autumn <3
Comment: Hi Rhonda, thank you for making your summer journal such an interesting read! I had fun going through the pages :) I admire your strength to move on from your previous relationship. I wish you, Jeffrey & Nelson happiness & health always!
Response: Thanks! I appreciate your good thoughts!
Comment: Rhonda, just realised I did not rate you yet on your beautiful letter. Thank you sooooo much. I will write back for sure. Just need a little bit of something called TIME! Thanks again and kisses to Nelson from me.
Response: Wanted to mention that yours was the first NJ Oakland address I mailed anything to from my CA Oakland. And you mentioned on your profile an interest in Groningen - guess where my other tea swap went? Groningen! Very strange set of locality
Comment: Love the postcard you sent to me for the swap! So cute sleepy Dachshund reminds me of my sister's miniature Dachshund "Scot." You are so fortunate to go to the Golden Gate Dog Show in San Francisco. What a delight to see the Sighthounds. My late husband and I would go to the dog shows in Virginia, Penn., NY. The dog shows held at Lynhurst, NY were fabulous. Happy Summer!
Comment: i love the washi tape you added to the back of the postcard!! i just put an envie in the mail to you, i hope you find it cute too...i used some of my newest washi, i was just itching to use it :) have a great day!
Comment: Thank you for the lovely card! I totally understand the feeling one gets when they claim they are child free, it's uncomfortable to say the least. But I am glad to find someone else who shares the same stance as I do. <3
Comment: Thank you so much for the lovely Lighthouse painting by Edward Hopper -- he's one of my favorite artists. What fun to see a production of Peter Pan with the lead having played it as a child! I saw a live production with Sandy Duncan as the lead back in the early 80s in San Francisco and I loved it but then Peter Pan is my favorite since I was about 5 years old . . .so many years ago :-) Thanks for the lovely PC and hope you're having a great summer ~~
Comment: Hi Rhonda. I love the beautiful embossed card and the decorative envie! Most of all, I've enjoyed reading your lovely letter. I've never heard of National Night Out...I think it is a novel ideal. Our church used to have a Sunday in the Park the first Sunday in September than sounds very similar. I could go on responding to your letter...I'll just say it was wonderful and you deserve your heart. Have a safe and fun filled holiday! Wishing you a galaxy of stars.~nancy
Comment: Thanks for nice bookmarks and extras. Being a lover of all things Disney, thanks especially for the Disney princesses! I love the swap tag you made - cute little French dog!; very classy return address stamp and enjoyed the art sticker to seal the envied, too!
Comment: Thank you so much for the happy mail! I love the Mucha backgrounds you put it, it looks great. I've heard great things about Jessica Jones too, but I'm not much for suspense either - I share your taste for comedy! Bob's Burgers is one of my favorites, check our Brooklyn Nine-Nine, I think you might like it
Comment: What a wonderful B&W PC of the catwalks of the Golden Gate Bridge - I cannot imagine what it was like to work on (and watch) that bridge being built. It is truly amazing! Thanks again for the great PC ~
Comment: Hi Rhonda! Thanks for the New Zealand viewcard! Yes, time goes by quickly because you really don't think about it. Well, anyway, a lot of swapping gets in the way with time. I hope to meet a lot of people in the meantime! Best of luck to you!
Comment: Thank you for the stunning Morris textile design, lovely Garbo postage, scalloped washi tape, and glittery rose and playing card stickers (love the Beauty and the Beast and Alice in Wonderland allusions :) So happy to meet another Wes Anderson and St. Vincent aficionado! My sister and I really wanted to watch her at the House of Blues when she came but didn't get tickets :p Thank you for brightening my day, and I hope our paths cross again. My apologies for the tardy rating -- it's been a busy, stressful week filled with pet abduction and recovery (I am still furious/upset at the neighbor responsible for this), lots of cooking and baking, community events, and out-of-town guests. Happy weekend!
Comment: What a great PC of a tiger -- it is awesome! Yes I do have a love of Peter Pan and have since I was 5 years old (that's about 62 years ago!). It was a 'new' Golden Book when my mom first read it to me and I decided I wanted to be just like Peter Pan. . . never grow up, be able to fly, and spend my days having adventures with the Lost Boys :-) I also started collecting a few years later and although I have pared down my collection recently, I have some great pieces. I'm so happy to hear that 3rd graders are using the classic version and that they are enjoying it. . . it's not exactly like the Golden Book - I didn't read the classic version until I was quite a bit older but loved it. Thanks so much for the great tiger PC and for teaching youngsters about the classics - it's never too early to learn about literature!
Response: Happy you're happy :) Live adventurously!
Comment: Greetings! Love your career - it's my dream career~* Thank you for the vintage extras - I just want to keep them, the papery feel is delightful :D And the foxy stamp and London themed stationery are SO cool! ♡ Have a dandy weekend!
Comment: Thanks for the nice card and the cute stickers and washi :) Are raccoons a problem for koi ponds? I don't think we've seen any raccoons around this house. I'm up to 108 paper cranes, I've got a long way to go!! :)
Comment: I got your journal today! I've already read half way through it and I love it. Where did you find the color your own stickers? I love them. I would love to be your penpal if you're in the market for another one
Response: Oh, I'm glad to hear you're enjoying it, and yes, let's write one another. The color your own stickers came from a coloring book I got at Michael's. Thanks, Tonya, for your patience.
Comment: Hi Rhonda,
I've seen Crowded House in Boston twice, D.C. (where I met them), and 3 venues in Florida. I've not seen Neil by himself.
My name actually is Finn from my second marriage. My husband jokes that I only married him for his name. Actually it was icing on a very good cake!
Thanks for your card! Have a great day. And yes, this is a wonderful hobby.
Comment: Thank you for sending me a book off of my profile for this swap. Had to wait for the swap reminder to give credit for it. - You didn't put the swap name in the note. never thought of this swap.! LOL I swap on Book Mooch, Paperback swap Thanks again and thanks also for the stickers and bookmarksAnn
Comment: Hi Rhonda. Thank you for the lovely Happy New Year Happy Mail. I love the mermaid stickers!! I love Valentines Day and I was the only kid in my school who gave out Valentines to my whole class through Senior year of HS. lol And I got a lot of thank yous in my year book about it. I hope your Valentines Day is special and happy too!
Comment: Your envie made me smile....from the fun paper to the awesome hockey & deer stamps. Your letter was enjoyable to read and the vintage PC's made my day. Thank you! I'll be writing you back soon :)
Comment: Sorry this is so late, finally took a minute to open your package and read through your notebook and look through all the goodies you included. Your sentences were great, btw, you get out a lot more than I do...mine were mostly baby this and baby that :( Hope the new year continues to treat you well.
Comment: I love everything you sent! The Lombard Street pc is my absolute favorite - classy card and great memories seeing it as a child and on our honeymoon! Fun envie of oranges and hippie postage, too!
Comment: I've been to Rockefeller Plaza in the summertime. It's much smaller than I imagined... It would be cool to see it in the winter! And to ice skate! What an awesome wish! 🎉ðŸ»ðŸ—½ Happy New Year!!!
Comment: Thank you for my envelope of goodies. My son was so excited to see the Scooby Doo bookmark in their, so we will be using that from now on for his book. My favourite was the East Bay Regional Park District with the leaf made out of textured paper!
Response: The 'texture' is seeds! It can be planted outdoors :) Glad you liked the happy mail!
Comment: I loved all your postcards and really got a chuckle out of the rabbit and veggie one. I always like horses and I'm going to have to put Boston on my "Places to Vitis" List. Loved your little heart info card too. Hope you had a wonderful Christmas and all the best for the New Year. Chris crispycritter
Comment: Thank you. I loved your comment about fashion. I love it too but comfort is my uniform. I only own one pair of dressy, non-yoga pants right now and they remain unharmed for the last year! Isn't that awful!I
Comment: Rhonda - thank you so much for the beautiful postcard and the sweet message! Also, loved the cute stickers you used. I hope you have a very Merry Christmas and that 2016 brings you lots of amazing adventures!
Comment: Hey Rhonda! Thanks for the postcard and sharing what you would want to do. Working in theatrical support sounds cool. A few years ago I volunteered as a stage hand for the play "Barefoot in the Park". I had so much fun!
Comment: Hello Rhonda, thank you so much for the awesome postcard. Boy does that book sound great! Especially cause it is a story that includes are favorite things ~ fabric, thread, and ribbon! Thank you so much! XO Kelly :)
Comment: Oh my gosh, Rhonda, this postcard brought took me back! Thank you so much. I remember visiting Olvera Street with my grandma all the time when I was younger (I grew up in Norwalk). I hope that you get to visit LA sometime soon! I went back about four years ago but I really would love to travel all over California sometime soon.
Comment: Wow! Can you imagine I just got the swap?? Something is obviously wrong with Peur's mail.
I'm such a fan of Top Chef, but I've never watched Mind of a CHef. I don't like birds too much, with songbirds being an exception. But my favorite are hawks and falcons - I love predators.
Response: Interesting... my other partner for this swap recently messaged me to say she had not received anything from me. Very odd. Thanks for the heart!
Comment: Hi Rhonda! Thank you for the adorable seal PC! I know what you mean about organizing your desk! My lab partner and I try to have competitions on whose desk can stay clean the longest and I'm pretty sure it's never last longer than 2-3 days…plot twist: we both lose simultaneously haha. Take care and I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving! Happy swapping <3
Comment: Thank you so much! What great cards - so varied. I really love the macarons and also the Paris themed one. But every one is so unique and fun. I'm excited to add them to my collection and find the perfect reason to send them :)
Comment: What an AWESOME post card! I just went out to check the mail and was very excited to find it. Looking forward to photographing it for my blog AND putting it in my happy little mail art album. Thank you so much!
Response: You're too kind, but thank you. Part of my inspiration (yeah, I'm an artist, ha!) wanting to use the images in the surrealistic composition- I don't like surrealism overall because the compositions bug me usually- and just mix the images up so they were more about color. Again, thanks for hosting!
Comment: I am in love with every single postcard you have sent me. I especially love the bottle caps one. My son will love the one of Timon and Pumba. Thank you so much for sending these postcards to me!
Comment: Thanks for the Panama-Pacific International Expansion PC. I can't begin to imagine innovations that are to come considering the changes in the past few years. My hats off to all the "thinkers" out there.
Comment: When I lived in Paris, I loved sitting in the Jardin du Luxembourg. It was October when I arrived and that's exactly what it looks like, plus lots of people, with a view of the Tour d'Eiffel in the distance. (Sorry for rating late - I just handed in a big assignment for school.)
Comment: so pleased to get these ookmarks for my collection. They are such fun...and these are colorful and interesting. I am looking forward to Nov. 6 - the big booksale in Cedar Rapids, iowa -- 80,000 books. I love to find things in books..."found objects" -- this past week in my "Goodwill box" I found a strip of class pictures, and in another one a class composite of 4th graders. Interesting what people will use for a bookmark and then wonder where they put it.! Happy collecting.
Response: Very cool! Do you know about Found magazine? http://foundmagazine.com/
Take care! -Rhonda
Comment: Thank you Rhonda, I like the panda and monkey stickers best :) For the future - please don't change the address of your partner. You changed Polish letters "sz" into Amercian "ch", I don't know why? I can imagine there must have been a serious problem with this on the post. Thank you
Response: So sorry! I'm glad it made it to you in relatively little time considering my goof. -Rhonda
Comment: The panda envelope was so cute, I didn't want to open it! I'm glad I did, I really like variety you sent. The stickers are so cute. **a job at working with stickers sounds like such a great job** THANKS!
Comment: This made me laugh! You're right the lighting and composition of the photo isn't very good. There are so many amazing photographers out there it is a bit funny to see a mediocre photographer with postcards.
Response: Thank you for the reassurance that I'm not overly picky! By the way, just looked at your profile, and your music likes are spot-on. I keep hoping Fountains of Wayne will put out some new music. Take care! -Rhonda
Comment: Okay, here's the deal... I love Ansel Adams, I love trees, I love winter, I love snow, I LOVE Billy Collins, I love that martin Ramirez stamp, and I'm going to marry that lion gentleman sticker. It was just a ball of happiness in the mail today! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! I wish I could give you more than 5.
Response: Brian, this is very pleasing to know :)
Going through a box, I came across that lion sticker, bought some time late last century, and was sad that he was my one and only, so I'm super glad you fancy him so. And... to make you jealous (mean, right?), I bought tix to see Billy Collins read accompanied by Aimee Mann in April 16. Sooo looking forward to it. Take good care! -Rhonda
Comment: Thank you so much for the Oakland postcard; I will be looking it up shortly on Google to see where it is in the USA. I love the stamps too hence the heart. I hope that you get rain soon; maybe you could have some of ours. Today is the first sunny day of the week! Rain is again forecast over the weekend here. Take care Jenny
Comment: I'm glad it was just a short earthquake. Yes I lived in Alaska for 3 years and there was a couple of earthquakes there while I was there. Don't remember much about length or intensity though. Thank you for the great Bookshelves postcard. I like it very much.
Comment: Hi Rhonda,
Thanks so much for the PC from your Guadalajara spa vacation! I like old & funky also much better than fancy, bummer they are no longer there :( Hope you're having a great day!
Comment: ✉ï¸âœ‰ï¸âœ‰ï¸âœ‰ï¸âœ‰ï¸âœ‰ï¸âœ‰ï¸âœ‰ï¸âœ‰ï¸âœ‰ï¸âœ‰ï¸âœ‰ï¸ excellent envelope of happy!!! I love everything, even the wonderful Janis Joplin stamp on my excellent envelope! The kitty stickers are fabulous! Thanks sweetness!
Comment: Love the bookmarks! Wish I had a handful of the snow on b1. Have a couple of established collectors and they are nuts about zombies type book. Anyway, if you read my profile you will know that I am a serious children's book collector so these bookmarks are just dandy. Thanks so much for sharing.
Comment: WOW -- I am coming to visit. Your letter was so appealing -- I loved reading about your Oakland. I liked your whole itinerary -- yum to the dim sum! Wish I could give you extra hearts! Happy Swapping! -- Pam :)
Response: If you ever do make it out this way, please, let's make a date! Glad you enjoyed reading about this place I call home. Take care! -Rhonda
Comment: Oh yes, I adore these cards! Ansel Adams is my inspiration, love the shells and dress, the camel made me giggle and the sea lion is quite curious! Thank you for making me smile and have a lovely day!
Comment: Rhonda- your package made my day! Actually, it made my whole week! You went ABOVE AND BEYOND what I expected! I love the stickers, washi tape, and origami papers. I'd give you 5 hearts if I could. Thank you!
Response: Happy that you're happy! I appreciate your enthusiasm. <3
Comment: thanks for the wonderful postcards! You really hit the nail on the head -- I also love Ansel Adams and Maxfield Parrish! I really appreciate partners who take the time to read profiles, so if I could give you 2 hearts I would. I hope we swap again some time so I can return the kindness. Happy swapping!
Comment: Thank you for the great snail mail supplies! I love the note card and postcards you included and will be keeping an eye out for them in the future when I am buying more postcards. Hope you are enjoying summer :)
Comment: Hi Rhonda! Got my swap today ... the envelope was cute! I liked the washi, too! The lovely Post Office nicked me for postage due. When an envelope is more than 1/4" thick, it has to be sent parcel rate. I know ... such a pain! Just an FYI for next time ... thanks again for all the stuff! Valerie
Response: Hi Valerie! I'm new enough to all of this that it hadn't crossed my mind that something I sent would be mailed without enough postage. So thank you for the information! May I ask how much was due? I'd love to pay you back and I'm also curious- how much postage did I put on it and how much was due? -R
