Comment: Thank you for the postcard! I found it quite funny and colorful to discover in my mailbox. :D You have a beautiful name and I can relate to never finding it on keychains and things like that. Have a great day!
Comment: Loving this unicorn set you wrote on tehe ^^ If [more like when! lol] I subscribe to La Papierre I will def note who referred me lmao! gah you reminded me - I must check out that planner you mentioned! >0< it sounds cool!
Comment: New job, same space for me! At least I get to keep that train commute for reading :P Sounds like you have been under the weather too. Hope you are feeling better! Something has been going around - I swear everyone around me has it >0<
Response: Pfft you love that train ride :) Stay well!
Comment: thank you sooo much for the generous envelope of cards! i love the redwood forest flower view with the beautiful exquisite postcards ~ i hope you enjoyed an evening out with your hubby on friday & lots more wonderful warm weekends ahead!
Response: I am so happy you liked them! We had an awesome time! Thank you for the heart!
Comment: Selene!! 5 sheets of drop dead gorgeous washi tape stickers??? Are you serious?? You totally spoiled me! Hearts to you friend. And the inner cut out envelope-- gah-- LOVE. Totally reusing that beauty. Thank you so much, you are too too kind and I am sooooo lucky!!! Thank you!
Response: I love giving out those pretty washi stickers! I am glad your having so much fun with them! <3
Comment: Selene... Great joke! I will have to ask a few people tomorrow :-) Thank you for the beautiful pink Valentine's Day card. I bet the flower arrangement would look really beautiful on someone's table too! Thanks also for the cute little stickers. :-)
Comment: Thank you so much for the very cute kitty card :-P I love these little ones
Response: I always worry that they make it safe. Is it silly to walk them into the post office and ask for them to be handled gently? Pfft, its a kitty card! All of them should be handled with loving care! :)
Comment: Thank you Selene! That is a really fun deco, I'm not sure what I'll use to decorate a page, but it's super cute and fun. :)
Response: Isn't it cute! I just google imaged something and printed it out on photo paper. You might find something like @joppagirl and find a toy or other item that might work hehe! It makes me want to make a tiny deco next time!
Comment: Thank you so very much for your lovely note card and the amazing stickers you have sent. I can feel you: February arrived so fast and I am already behind with everything. But I am sure we both will catch up. 🙂
Response: Yep! Meet ya at the end of Feb right around March 17th! :)
Comment: I am SO with you on the sleep ... like it's BAD - real bad. I have tried several sleep aids and use them 95% of the time every night just to knock out at a decent hour! >0< it's so hard to turn off our "always-on" lives.
Response: Drives me nuts that sleep effects my weight so much. Oh did diet and exercise but didn't sleep well? +10 lbs for me! /sigh
Comment: Okay so I must check out the planner you mentioned - I have been a dedicated Passion Planner user for a couple years and love it, but always exploring more planners to fuel my addiction to stationery XD!
Response: I might write to you about the two I am using. One I am using for swaps and it has been fantastic. I might see if I have a pen that you would use, I know you have a favorite and see if it works well with this paper. I love this new system I have worked out though, so much faster for rating and doing swaps!
Comment: Thanks for all the great fabric prints, Selene. You're right, they would make great backgrounds for collage creations. Love all the wonderful vintage stamps you used on the envie too. Sadly, I have a mean-spirited mail delivery person who marked through each stamp with her broad black marker!
Response: Yea, that bugs me too! I wish they would just use the hand postmarker with the date. That looks cool and can be reused in art. I guess one could make art though with the black marker ones for a piece on angry post workers. Heh.
Comment: Thanks, a free theme will be fun. Where do you get your old stamps to use? I'll save them for my sister, who collects them.
Response: I like doing the free themed ones too. I find my old stamps at ebay buying under face value lots. I can some times get about $50 for $44 which isn't bad. Just I highly recommend a stamp moistener. :)
Comment: Thank you for the hearts themed letter set. I am excited for your Disney trip. I hope all goes well for you and I look forward to hearing about it when you return home. I have wanted to go for several years but your youngest wouldn't be able to handle it without a meltdown. I think they have a Hello Kitty Cafe on the grounds too ♥
My depression and anxiety are a constant battle. Even though I am thankful for my life and what I have I still struggle daily. If you really like Kawaii swaps A LOT check out the swaps I'm currently in on my profile. Date nights don't happen anymore. There has not been anyone in our lives that we would ask to babysit our youngest. IF we go out it's all 3 of us. For Valentines I might get flowers, a charm for my bracelet and or some extra funds for stickers or kawaii goodies. I'm thinking of doing the Mrs. Grossmans monthly subscription. :) woohoo.....
Response: Thank you for the suggestion! Definitely try to go. There are many accommodations available.
Comment: Thank you for the letter and stickers. I like to find vintage stationary at thirst shops or garage sales.
Response: I would really like to find vintage stationery at thrift shops and garage sales but so far I have yet to see any put out. It is always an assortment of someones collectables that nobody cares about anymore and a broken mower. But, the hunt will go on!
Comment: Thank you for such a cute letter set and memo sheets! I think I am going to look into the book you mentioned! I struggle with depression and anxiety and am always looking for ways to help myself! Thanks again!
Response: I saw on Amazon that there is a preorder for cards. I am hoping they are putting her drawings on cards so I can carry my favorites around with me and look at them when needed.
Comment: Thank you for the adorable washi! ~ I thought this was a great idea for a swap and if you ever host another I will be joining! I am also working on my cursive and brush lettering! What are the odds! Your cursive is beautiful! 💖💖💖
Response: I love that washi too! It is so cute and I like how it is backed so I can share little strips of it. I was hoping there would be more interest in this swap but alas only two signed up. I am not sure why. If you have any ideas to improve it they would be welcome! Thank you for the sweet complement!
Comment: Thank you so much for the card. Love it I am working on learning to emboss.
Response: I have wanted to play with embossing as well. However since it deals with powders and heat guns. I am afraid of making a mess and burning myself. I will stick to junk journals for the time being. Thank you for the heart!
Comment: Thank you for VT card and your note about week.Nothing happened on your birthday.I am always into my birthdays. Even that I might wish time to be turned back.Upgrading computer is not a romantic gift at all. Should be done wiithout asking.. Happy Belated Birthday!
Response: Yea, but I am a gamer. So having my computer upgraded is awesome! Hehe. I have never been into my birthday. I'd rather forget it each year.
Comment: Oh how fun, Disneyland! I know of another swapper who is going to Disneyland I’m February, I think. If time permits For a coffee meet up let me know. I’ll make a run to Anaheim and meetcha! Thanks for the lovely card and nice written note and the db tea!
Response: Oh that would make the trip extra special! I'll send you some of the details.
Comment: I just looked up hobonichi that would be fun if I had a busy life.
Response: I am using the Hobonichi Techo for my swaps and it is working well so far. I was going to use it for daily and swaps but it was just not working. My life isn't that busy but some use it as a diary since it works well with fountain pens. I picked up a Hobonichi Weeks for a planner and that seems to be the perfect size for me. There is an even smaller one called a Hobonichi Weekly which is perfect for a purse but most just use their phones these days. I find I remember things better if I write them down than type them out.
Comment: Love the vintage style floral motifs on the envie/ card! Thank you so much! Those sticker sheets on the "vellum" are sooo fantastic! Did you make them?
Response: That was the last of those cards too. I found them on ebay. The stickers are washi and I found those on Alliexpress :) They sell them by the box. It is usually 40 to 50 sheets for around $3 to $4.
Comment: I actually LOVE that postcard!! Isn't that funny :) See you soon!
Response: I thought it was pretty cool too just didn't make much sense. I have a stack of them from a pack I bought from Alliexpress. Most are vintage reproduction of used postcards which are really neat then there was that one... Heh. Glad you liked it! :)
Comment: Thanks for the sweet bunnies card and your tale of volunteering at the zoo, How cool to have been able to get up close & personal with giraffes & elephants! When I traveled with Ringling Bros. I became very friendly with Sita, one of the Asian elephants. She liked to eat my rice cakes, but I never offered her a lemon drop!
Response: It must have been cute watching her eat rice cakes :)
Comment: I love this card that looks like a book!! Thank you and Happy New Year!!
Response: I found those at TJMaxx and thought they looked really cool and so far everyone has loved them. Maybe I should go back to see if they have any more on holiday clearance! Hehe Thanks for the heart!
Comment: OMG I loved the lil joke inside your beautiful card... made me giggle!! Thank you so much! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!! (Also, THANK YOU for the beautiful vintage stamps!!! They're totally going in my stamp collection!!
Response: My pleasure! I love adding in puny jokes to my cards :)
Comment: Eee! I love the card! It's one of the three going on the mantle this year! We just did Dickens on the Strand in Galveston for the third year in a row two weekends ago! I was the Ghost of Christmas Past in the Pickwick's Lantern Parade! ❤️
Response: I am so happy you like it! :) Have a Merry Christmas!
Comment: Rcvd both partners cards same day and it made me happy. Funny story my sister in law is clueless. I have lived in my house since 2017 we moved down road and she still hasn’t figured out we moved yet. She also does NOT know how to spell my last name. Sigh. Things that make me go hmmm.
Response: I can't spell without spell checker and I forget my own birthday! Hehe
Comment: Chex Mix is addicting... that's one of those things where if you put a bowl of it in front of me I am SO gonna eat the whole thing >_> XD! :P Those "Necco" sticks... I have seen them before - it's like a love/hate. I have never tried em!
Response: Trust me, stay awake from Necco aka chalk discs. Oh and the big Costco sized bag of Chex Mix is gone. I was actually surprised how long it lasted!
Comment: AMAZING as usual! I just love your handmade journal and all the TLC you put into it. It's so much fun to look at each and every page. I love the goody page you put in at the back of the journal, so much fun! I can't say enough nice things about this journal. Thanks so much for another wonderful swapping experience!
Response: My pleasure! I have quite a bit of fun making them :) It is hard to stop myself sometimes and say, its too full! Hehe
Comment: This a beautiful fantastic journal! Love the fabric on the outside and the beady tassel(my cat liked that part too). Love the way the paper crinkles and sounds-the images are great. You did a super job and I am very pleased to take possession of this one of a kind journal. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for making it for me!
Response: I love that you love the journal I made! I makes my heart sing and want to continue to make more! Thank you and Happy Holidays!
Comment: Ooh! Beaded owl ornaments you say? Those sound super cute! :) Also I am a real sucker for a cozy scarf too tehe ^^
Response: I love grey infinity scarves. I have 3 of them each a little thicker so I can switch them out depending on how cold it is. I am going to put a picture of one of the owl ornaments I made on your profile.
Comment: Thanks for triple checking. I like your sticky not system for keeping track. This is a fun batch!
Response: I have to admit, I hold onto ones that I know @joppagirl hasn't done to the side just incase I get her as a partner since she has done so many! When the deco books pile up it just was easier to check through the sticky notes than open each one. Sometimes the deco books are very delicate. I hope you have tons of fun decorating pages!
Comment: Cross stitching sounds very therapeutic, especially with the very cold weather outside. I am determined to learn one of those types of hobbies. I wasn't sure what a lap book was, I had to Google it. Very cool and creative. I'm sure it is gonna turn out great. Thank you for the beautiful stickers, I absolutely adore them. 💐
Response: It is very therapeutic. I often find kits on ebay for counted cross stitch. If you wanted to learn, you might be able to find learning or kid type kits to get you started and then go from there. However, if reading small symbols on a chart might give you a headache, you may want to pass because there is quite a bit of that going on. I am glad you like the stickers. I am a sticker nut!
Comment: That's so great and important that you have a friend that is really there for you through the tough times. :) we all need that! And despite the stigma with mental health I think more of us experience hardships than we think, and sometimes it's good to talk things out. *hugs*
Response: Thank you. I agree, and it is a blessing to have love and support of others.
Comment: I loved the letter for the mailman! Omgosh! It was the best!! I laughed so hard. I wonder if mailmen come across spiders often?I don't mind spiders if they are OUTSIDE except black widows.. Long story short I hate them! Kill kill die die! Haha. Thank u for the good laugh! 😆😆
Response: Hehe, I thought you might like those :) I'm terrified of black widows too!
Comment: Hello, I love the vellum stickers. I've never seen
stickers like that. They r great!! Where do you find those types of stickers?
Thank you for the letter. I was in Charleston, SC, for a wk n the naked piled up.... finally catching up.
Response: I found those online at Alliexpress. It does take a while for the mail to reach me but the quality of the stickers and the price is hard to beat. I can buy a box of 40 to 50 washi sticker sheets for $4 to $6. There are lots to chose from. They are so beautiful and layer nicely in journals! Thank you for the heart!
Comment: You sent me a pic of the swap cards before and I have been using the same method since I started back ♥ I found that it is the only way for me to really keep track of what is going on for me. As always, thank you for the goodies. You are spoiling me!
Response: Some days I think I am keeping the stationery industry afloat with my swapping. Hehe
Comment: Hello, again! I prefer being alone too, so I understand you completely. I hope you enjoy(ed) organizing your stationary section! I didn't mind that your stationary did not come with a matching envelope, it was very pretty on its own. Thank you for the washi samples. 💐
Response: Thank you so much for understanding. I am happy you liked the washi :) Thank you for the heart!
Comment: Escape rooms? Is that a place you go to?
Thank You for the stickers too really cute.
Response: Hehe yea! Escape rooms are puzzle rooms with lots of puzzles that you figure out with friends within an hour to escape out of the room. They often have a theme or story behind the room. There is a person there watching the room on camera helping out if ya need so your not locked permanently in. Maybe go try one!
Comment: Thank you so much for your journal! I was so tickled to see that your are from Fortuna! My husband lived there from '92 to '01. And he still has a few friends that live there. I enjoyed reading your journal. and Thank you for the little extras too!
Response: Thank you so much! I was worried it might be boring. This was my first one in this series. I look forward to the next one :)
Comment: Thank you so much for the stickers, deer are my favorite and I'm definitely gonna use them in my next fall projects :) I loved your picture too, especially the blue glitter colors! So beautiful!
Response: Thank you! I am glad you liked the stickers and the sketch!
Comment: Hi Selene! Sorry for the tardy rating. There was a desk-alanche here and some things had to be dug out. Eep! These Spirit of 76 stamps are so cool! And I love squirrels! Thanks for another cool swap. :):):)
Response: No worries! Those desk-alanche can be destructive and hazardous!
Comment: Thank you so much for the Pusheen card!! This one is extra special because the 2 cats on the front are just like my cats. I have one fat one like pusheen, and one kitten like the other one. So cute. Thank you :)
Response: I love Pusheen too! I am so happy loved it :)
Comment: pumpkin spice kit kats?!? WHERE! And I love infinity scarves too - got a super soft cute black and white one from Kohl's on sale for like 3$ - warm too!
Response: I am fairly sure we found the Pumpkin Spice Kit Kats at Target. I think. I keep thinking of picking up another infinity scarf but I really really don't need it! I guess I just want to play with a different one. Heh
Comment: You know.. I really need a writing desk. I do have a PC desk.. but it's really small and only room enough to hold my computer monitors etc.. I need like a solid crafting table! Then I can write to you proper ;)!
Response: I have a desk for my PC and a writing desk. I still write most of my swaps at my PC desk because I like to have swap bot open to check every 3 mins. I do enjoy writing in my journal at my writing desk though. I found a really nice used one from a second hand store.
Comment: I think the books you make are really neat! And it is a niche market, so you could and should definitely sell them! [if you want to of course!] Lately I have been thinking... I really want to make a side hustle! So I was thinking, what do I make that is marketable and I love doing?
Response: I've thought about selling them but I have been using most for my swaps so I don't have many extras to sell. Then I get worried about sales taxes and income tax reporting and is it really worth it for the small amount I would bring in. I dunno.
Comment: Thank you so much for the adorable letter set and extra sticker surprise! I was happy to read that you are accomplishing goals that leave you feeling fulfilled! Have a great weekend and good luck in the upcoming week! <3 <3
Response: Thank you so much for your sweet comment. I hope you have a wonderful weekend as well. Thank you for the heart.
Comment: Yay!! The new postcard arrived, and it’s beautiful!! Thanks for the resend, have a great day
Response: Yikes...I think I did that for everyone. Thank you for understanding. I am going to resend to everyone. I will get it out on the last day but at least the swap won't be late! Thank you for letting me know. <3
Comment: Wow! Thank you for the beautiful journal! I love it and how you used your Swap items. It was bound together so nicely too. Thank you for thoroughly making my day. All the flowers really make me smile! 💜
Response: That makes my day hearing how much you enjoyed the journal. I work very hard on them and just love to incorporate as much from my swaps as I can. Thank you for the hearts and wonderful complement.
Comment: where is your stationary from? so cute! loved the letter & stickers. thank you so much!
Response: That stationery was from Michael's two years ago. I have yet to see them bring anything like it back. These days I suggest picking up a subscription from LaPapierre.com or checking out their Etsy store. Great matching stationery for good price.
Comment: Selene, thanks so much for your letter ... it seems you're doing good with the walking goal and it's beneficial in more ways than one too. That's great! Also thank you so much for the stickers - just this week I was wishing for some to decorate envelopes for cards I send to seniors and the ones you sent are perfect!
Response: Thank you so much for your positive feedback. I love those stickers and sharing them. They are easy to reposition too which is nice. Thank you for the heart.
Comment: I loved reading your letter on the adorable kawaii letter set! You've got gorgeous hand writing ~ And thank you SO MUCH for these beautiful stickers, I had to show them to my friend and she agreed that they were some of the prettiest stickers we've ever seen! Hope you see you in another swap soon~! xoxo
Response: You are so sweet to say so. I'm blushing. I love those washi stickers. I like to tuck in them as often as I can. I buy them in boxes off Alliexpress. Thank you for the heart and complements.
Comment: Don't feel discouraged about your making books. People on Swap-bot get it. We are your people!
Response: My mother in law visited and she grabbed up one of my books to use! I was so happy! I made books with her for her Kindergarten class too for projects! Two projects worth, 54 books! I couldn't have been happier!
Comment: What a lovely summer you had of travel! It's so neat that you met with a SwapBot friend! Thank you for the nifty stickers; I love those kind. And the notecard is so pretty. Hope you have as lovely a Fall as you had a summer!
Response: Thank you so very much. I hope you have a colorful Fall as well. <3
Comment: I love the Hen & Chicks succulents letter set. I haven’t seen that one in Etsy. T stopped doing roller coasters years ago but this past July I ventured to try the tilt-o-whirl and regret it because of the neck pain. Color Street sounds interesting. I will check them out. I’m always happy to hear from you. Thank you for the stickers ❤️
Response: I am hoping La Papierre gets that set in again as it is one of my favorites. I have a few more sets of it. If you would like to do a swap trade of letter sets for it let me know. Who knows christy102194 might do another letter set swap exchange and I might get you as a partner :) I love giving out stickers! Must share in the sticky fun!
Comment: I agree. You must lack common sense to stop teaching cursive in school!
Response: Most definitely! It is faster to handwrite in cursive and takes attention to detail. Many things have sped up way too fast and hardly anyone seems to care about the slower vintage stuff but just a handful of us.
Comment: I love the flakes! Thank you :) Well I know that the McDs tea is brewed, not instant because I used to work there. I believe it is Lipton and comes in a huge pouch but they may have changed it.
Response: Hmm, maybe it is a ratio of tea to water or how they brew it. Now, I have to figure it out :) I always love sending you fun stickers! <3
Comment: These postcards are AMAZING! Thank you so much for sharing!
Response: They were all from the same set but I had a feeling you would love them all :) I think I might order that set again. They are almost all gone. Thing is I really need to stop collecting PCs for a while but it is so much fun!
Comment: Hi! It’s been a while huh? I like the Fox paper and thank you for the lovely washi stickers! Yes I looove stickers too. Hmm yeah my nails are thin too, always have been. I have not been on any of the Tower of Terror type rides yet. I do hate those scary boat rides though so if the feeling you get is anything like that I’m not so sure lol.
Response: Tower of Terror is now redressed and called Guardians of the Galaxy Mission Breakout and it just is an hay wired huge elevator that just suddenly drops, lifts and drops again over and over. It is not my cup of tea. I love washi stickers. They looks beautiful on paper!
Comment: Planetariums are awesome! I went to one in Montreal when I was visiting my mother's family there when I was about 12 years old and I was completely fascinated. Thank you for sharing, it brought back some fun memories of my own :D
Response: My pleasure! I am happy it brought back some memories too!
Comment: Oh noes! :( hope you are feeling better! How is PostCrossing??
Response: I am doing better. I am meh on PostCrossing. I have sent out 6 PCs and only 1 has been registered as received. The first set of 5 I was able to do 3 were INT and 2 were USA. The one received was USA but the other USA should have been there by now. I have yet to receive a PC.
Response: Thank you. I should put up some pictures on Instagram of the newest ones but each time I take photos they turn out bleh. Not sure why. Not that I even use the filters etc. Heh. Just dark and shaded. Maybe I try a different time of day. :)
Comment: Hey Selene, I tend to put my needs on the back burner as well, but lately, I have been doing ONE personal need each day. I have found that if I treat myself well then I have more energy to help meet other people's needs. :) Thank you for all the stickers you sent, I can't wait to use them!
Response: I think I might try your idea to do at least one personal need each day. I am so happy you like the stickers! 🦋💗🦋
Comment: Thank you so much for your letter! I've been thinking lately that I would like to try making a junk journal then I thought of something this week that I haven't thought of in a long time. I use to work in a bookbinding shop. I already know the basics of how to do this. Lightbulb moment! LOL!
Response: Sounds like so much fun! Time to get out the paper and start folding!
Comment: Congrats on finishing 3 bindings! I bet they look so cool.
Response: I should post some pictures on Instagram of them. I like saving a bit of what I have made that way and then I can share with swappers and online friends my creations that I often swap away. Hehe. I would love to see pictures of you chocolates!
Comment: Would you like a reply here or as a return letter? Either way, thank you for the gorgeous unicorn papers and your letter set was adorable!
Response: My pleasure. I love the La Papierre letter sets. I have their subscription so always new papers to play with. If you liked that one it may be up on their Etsy store soon. The unicorn papers, I bought as a digital set from Etsy as well. I cannot remember off the top of my head the name of the store though. As far as a reply, either way is just as sweet. :)
Comment: Thank you so much for your letter. I can't wait to see Toy Story 4! I guess I'm just a kid at heart. I always want to see the "kid's shows." Lion King is next on my list.
Have a great day!
Response: I am debating on Lion King. I was going to pass but it has had lots of good reviews.
Comment: The Scrap store sounds like a Creative Reuse Center. I wish I had one of those by me! How many letter sets did you find?? As for my Etsy shop. I had it closed while I was gone so I need to reopen it still. As for the chocolate business, well, I am just now starting to make chocolates this week again because I had a garage sale this past weekend and have been busy with that. Chocolates are my number one priority the next two weeks. As for my trip it was very nice to spend time with my sister. Going to the resort at the end of the trip was so fun. It rained a lot though so we had to go thrift shopping a lot haha.
Response: I did not find any letter sets! I did find a big handful of PCs though. Is it sad, that I have thought about ordering from your Etsy shop one of those mystery bundles just get see if I got a chocolate with it? Heh Oh and you poor poor thing Just HAD to go thrift shopping! Find anything interesting?
Comment: I hear ya! We finally got some 70s and 80s weather.. Those 90 degree days were a bit much! >0< You mentioned Michael's - reminds me, it has been a while!
Response: My local Michael's combined the two sticker aisles into one by putting these sliders in. It does not work. They are often falling apart, make the aisle itself too narrow and there are stickers that I cannot get to because they are behind the slider no matter which way I slide it. I'm just going to skip Michael's sticker aisle I think. Or maybe go down with my camera and take pictures, writing a letter about how their new system sucks! Maybe. Should I send them Instax photos heh.
Comment: Selene, thank you for sending me the Impressionist art PC for the swap. Your PC I had with me when I went to my local Dunkin' Donuts for coffee, & I showed the employees the joke you wrote on the PC. We loved it.
Response: My pleasure! It was one the better jokes I have run across as of late! Happy Summer to you as well!
Comment: Thank you sooooo much for such a beautiful journal!!! It inspires me to make a journal like this. It was so thoughtful of you to leave extra pages so I could add to the journal. I absolutely adore this journal!!!
Response: I am so happy that you liked it and want to add to it. Feel free to modify or move the lists I put down of course. The journal is now yours to play with :)
Comment: I know the feeling! I just received some yarn in the mail I was waiting on and squeal! Thanks for the lovely stickers!
Response: I received my subscription from Stickii today. I am such a happy sticker collector right now. I have even more to play with! Thank you for the heart! I wonder what your making with the yarn. Hmm scarf?
Comment: Wow! What an amazingly quick journey from your coast to me! Thank you for the colorful card; it was a delight to find it in my mailbox this afternoon. Those blank PC swaps are a good way to get card for swaps like these! I hope you're having a great day and a fun summer.
Response: I love finding the odd PCs to send in swaps. It did arrive to you fast! Thank you for the heart <3
Comment: I loved your stationery where did you get it? it's beautiful! thank you for sharing with me your goals, the heart will be available after 2 weeks but I did give you a heart!
Response: I bought a few sets of that stationery off ebay. I think it was from early 90s perhaps. I am down to the last two letter sets of it. I will miss it! Each came with a matching embossed folder with a velcro closure. I keep an eye out on ebay still. Most of it is overpriced but sometimes I get lucky and find nice stationery at a good price! Thank you for your sweet comment and heart!
Comment: My first swap my first arrival. Cute Joke! Thank you
Response: Welcome to Swap-bot! I hope you have many happy swaps here! I saw you liked Dr Who and I had that PC sent to me by another swapper! I love that about swap-bot! At first, I thought it would be a fun way to connect and let me get rid of extra stationery. Nope! Lots of connecting but I just buy even more stationery now! I have boxes of PCs to trade! I hope to see you in a future swap! Thank you for the heart. 🦋💗🦋💗🦋💗
Comment: We seem to like the same swaps =D We get matched a lot. Thanks for the sea horse postcard =D I want to see both movies you mentioned too. My kiddos will probably love them. Have a great night! Happy swapping!
Response: My pleasure! You should come visit Fortuna on July 3rd! We have a huge free fireworks show at Newburg Park. I bet that You and the kids will love it!
Comment: Oh my gosh, Selene! What a fabulous journal! You have such a talent. I love every page! So many wonderful things to look at ☺ i haven't opened all the little envelopes, I love them the way they are!! Thank you so much for making such a beautiful creative journal for me! Extra hearts all over the place 💜💛💟💚💙💖🖤❣
Response: I am so happy you like it :) I honestly have way too much fun making them. I already have the journal built for the next one and am going to start decorating it today! I tried to make it reusable for you as a junk journal so don't be afraid to take out parts so you can have Your fun with it. :)
Comment: Wow, this card got to me fast! Thanks so much for sharing the last card you have of your great-uncle's paintings with me. That's so wild that they are massive pieces. The depth & attention to detail is stunning. I'm so happy you've gotten to see them in person. Also, love the creepy Halloween papers you included! On to your week--yay for getting stuff done! I hope your landscaping comes along nicely & less stressfully! Happy swapping!
Response: I am so happy you appreciate it. That beetle one is so cool. I have used bits of it in deco books! It layers nicely. Thank you for the heart and sweet comments. 💗🦋💗
Comment: Love the Gaston pc and stamp combo. I received three different pieces of mail with three different villains stamps today! I am one happy camper! (By the way, I can't wait to tell the instagram joke to my nieces, I tease them about their instagram use all of the time.)
Response: I think Instagram is funny since it offers filters for each photo. I am just posting swaps of items I send as a memory and to show others. Yea, I need to filter this postcard because it has wrinkles! :)
Comment: loved the "quote" you gave Ursula and the punny joke! >0<
Response: I loved those PC until I opened the package and saw they had big blank bubbles to fill. I have just a few more so Google is helping me with Disney Villain quotes heh. Maybe I should have written that I am silly, snarky and punny for my 3 descriptive words! /wink
Comment: I love this card too. Lots of crafting potential with this card too. Sounds like a great summer. I definitely need to organize and clean. I'm thinking it's going to be an interesting summer here with MIL having to get back some of what she lost to be able to walk and take card of herself. Thanks so much for the great card and note!
Response: I've been surprised how much my mom is into checking out the happy mail I send and receive. Everyone loves happy mail! I hope she heals quickly and has a nice visit with you.
Comment: The first thing I thought of when I saw the card was exactly what you said...crafting. Thank ou so much and thank you for the sweet postcards. Lexi might take that postcard away from me though lol. Happy Anniversary!
Response: Thank you! Well I always love sharing the happy mail fun :) Thank you for the heart!
Comment: Thanks so much for the stickers...I love these Stickii folders...so convenient...I have been thinking about signing up
Response: Stickii is a very fun subscription. I started out with the Retro pack which has never disappointed. For $10 pack - 5 to 6 sheets of stickers and sticker flakes, and cute paperclip, and sticky notes and usually some other thing all in that Stickii folder! I kept up the Retro and then added the Cute pack and then had to get the Pop pack as well. I have never once been disappointed by Stickii. I have bought their clearance Black Friday blind boxes. OMGosh. So worth it! I don't even go down the sticker isles anymore at Michael's etc because they just can't compare. The only problem I had was storage. The folders fit A5 6 ring binders (European/Asian) which is interesting as Stickii is a USA company.
Comment: Omgosh such cute stationary paper and envelope. I joined Stickii “cute” and the LaPapeirre 12 papers 6 envelopes subscription. I’m so excited! I’m fiending for several of their older designs but they don’t have them listed on the Etsy store site. Thank you for the beautiful washi stickers and kawaii big food flakes. My heart swells with gratitude.❤️
Response: LaPapeirre just moved so they cleared out all the stock they had on Etsy just before the move from USA back to Canada. They have been slowly restocking but it should get better over time. The latest subscription was really nice 5 different designs! You are most welcome for the stickers! <3
Comment: Thank you so much for your letter and the stickers! I don't think I ever played four square. I had boys to play with and they liked dodge ball with me being the one doing the dodging. LOL!
Response: Eep! Your brave to have been the one dodging! Thank you for the heart!
Comment: I think I saw this set at Dollar Tree too! I was trying to be "good" so I skipped over the fun stuff.. This is actually a really cute cacti set! Sweet and snarky totally describes you! Heheh! :P
Response: It was not easy fitting a letter on that stationery! It was too fun though to pass up! I was surprised that I found a letter set at Tuesday Morning. Usually it is all note cards. It was pretty deep in the back and on a low shelf. 5$ for a nice full letter set though is too hard to pass up!
Comment: Cute Notecards, I love the cactus "Stay Sharp" lol. Thank you!
Response: I am so happy you liked it! I bought the cactus one from Dollar Tree. Usually I buy my notecards from Tuesday Morning because of quality etc. However, that cactus one was too funny to pass up!
Comment: Hi Selene! Thanks for the fun share - I did not watch that show but it does stink when the end of the show is wrapped up way too quickly! I felt like they did that with the "Big Bang Theory" as well - after all the years of watching it, the ending was sort of a let down - sigh! I have not started watching anything new yet, so sorry no suggestions to share! Thank you for the lovely pcs, too! I love purple, so you totally made my day! Hugs and Happy Swapping! ;)
Response: My pleasure! I too am on the hunt for a new show. I have been more into music lately. I am so happy my little mail brought you smiles! <3
Response: Well, I play way too many MMORPG video games where I help kill dragons heh. Anyways check out this trailer and try not to laugh at the trash can "rodents" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x8DKg_fsacM
Comment: Thanks for the postcard of the night time fire fighting scene and especially for the great vintage stamps. Do you have a local philatelic society? Mine has a big stamp show once a year and several of the dealers sell vintage unused stamps, sheets of them, for under face value. Plus it's just cool to see all the stamps on display.
Response: No, I don't. We have local rock hunters but not philatelic society! I would love to go to one and see all the cool stamps!
Comment: Hi Selene thanks for the swap! Do you get heartburn from fruits? That is my problem most of the time even though they’re supposed to be all healthy and stuff, sometimes just looking at something gives me heartburn lol. Mangos are usually okay though. By the way that stationary is so fun with Rilakkuma and Korilakkuma at the noodle shoot ha! Cute stickers too.
Response: It could be heartburn. I just feel very uncomfortable now after eating fruit. Some fruits are better than others and if I go slow it is better. I love that stationery! Can't go wrong with Rilakkuma!
Comment: Right now I am loving letter sets. I'm having a real hard time finding them for some reason. All I see are the notecards. Anyways, thank you for the letter! It's great that you're getting your yard done. We're working on ours too. Thank you for the stickers!
Response: After searching high and low for letter sets and usually only finding high priced stuff vintage 60s through 90s stuff at best...or if extremely lucky on ebay. Just go to lapapierre.com for a subscription. They have awesome perfect sized letter sets for a good price. They just moved so their stock is slowly being rebuilt but it is always changing and looks great.
Comment: Thank you for the adorable Rilakkuma eating watermelon letter. I’m happy to see kawaii from you *big smiles*. Thank you for the sticky notes. I use them for notes often in homeschool teaching, lesson planning and notes in my planner.
Response: My pleasure. Please let me know if you ever need stickers or other sticky notes for supplies. I often have too many of both! :)
Comment: Hehe, so about that giveaway - shipping was RIDICULOUS... USPS charged me priority mail and I could not believe how pricy it was to ship bits of paper! >0<
This tea looks yummy! And the packaging is so fancy~ I've been on a HUGE tea kick at the office :P
Response: You may want to check out a monthly subscription for tea called Sips By that is where I got that tea. You can choose parameters of which teas you prefer and they curate around that. My post office said that for those priority boxes that it saves money if I go over certain pounds per box. So I just ask and fill it up accordingly! It will be like oh just hit for over 3lbs etc.
Comment: What a creative way to reuse an old postcard from the 90s. This made me smile esp the did ya hear about the ceiling fans romance??? Thanks Selene! And I had a s*** day today so 2 pcs made me happy (from one of my fave swappers)
Response: Ahh your are so sweet! I am glad my happy mail arrived to cheer you up ! :)
Comment: The tin miniature is still on the list! Yay! I am looking forward to it as much as you are LOL.
Response: Yes! I think I am just scared of it. It wasn't that expensive of a kit really but it is intricate. I am afraid of messing it up or giving up on it or not completing it. IT stays on the goal list till made! Heh :)
Comment: Hahaha that bunny napping on the food is so odd!
Response: Exactly! It arrived with a bunch of kawaii bunny stickers I bought off Aliexpress. I could not see the bunny at first and I thought that it was rabbit dinner...which was like EEP around Easter! Then I saw the teeny tiny bunny napping on the meat of all things under a seaweed blanket and breathed a sigh of relief. <3
Comment: Thank you for the stickers and lovely letter. That is beautiful stationary! You found Uni-Ball Signo pens at the Dollar store? WOW! I picked up some new cool pens from a teachers store here that is run by Amish/Mennonite people. The pen is called Slicci by Pentel. I picked up 3 metallic purple, pink and aqua. They are .025 extremely fine point. Interesting, not sure I love them yet. Is the miniature Tin House kit one of those that looks like a bunny cottage in the woods or wintertime scenes that light up and you can close it? Altoids tin kind of thing? I seen some on Aliexpress or Wish. Happy Swapping my friend...cya in the papers. ;)
Response: Wow that is extremely fine point pens! I thought about doing a pen swap but that might be tough since there are so many and the price range can be quite wide. I think the Uni-ball was at the Dollar store because it is sub par because it writes black then purple then back to black. I find it fun though! The Miniature Tin House kit is one of those bunny cottage scenes that light up. I bought it off Aliexpress for $9 I think. There are some YouTube videos on how to so I am going to try one with a video first, just in case I get stuck on what to do next hehe.
Comment: Thank you THANK you my sweet penpal friend. You’re so generous to me and have “held my hand “ through the introduction process of kawaii. I am a little blue about your decision but trust that you know what is best for you. I’m happy to know you are still swapping so I can see you again soon. ❤️ Also... your package arrived on my birthday! So big smiles over here :D xx
Response: It arrived on your birthday?! Wow now that is definitely some happy mail! I hope you have tons of fun with the Kawaii swaps! They have brought me lots of smiles! Thank you for the heart. I will see you in future swaps!
Comment: Thank you for the pretty deco! It'll be fun to add a page to a deco with such a positive theme. Oh, and I loved the space stamps you used. I would have given you a heart, but swap-but is busted today and not letting me check the box.
Response: I am so happy you liked it! I hope you have lots of fun with those like I did! :)
Comment: What a fun postcard, Selene! I have friends that do this kind of dancing. It's an awesome sight when all the dancing ladies are twirling and their wide skirts are flying. Happy Cinco De Mayo! Thanks for swapping :-)
Response: It has been a long while but I loved to see them dancing as well. So much color and fun!
Comment: First of all thank you so much for all of the wonderful Kawaii stationery! Second of all, I am so sad that you are exiting the Kawaii world :( It's so much fun! But I get it. I'll see you in our other swaps still :)
Response: Whatever bits of Kawaii I get I will be sending your way! Keep having fun with it :)
Comment: I've never gotten a postcard like this before - how fun! I love it, thanks so much :)
Response: I wanted to challenge myself and make it multilayered. I had received the vintage slide in a swap and it gave me an idea. I am glad it turned out as I had hoped at least on the front. The back, I wasn't as happy with but it was complex.
Comment: Hi Selene! Thanks for the cute mini-magpie journal! I love that you used things you received in the mail to complete it and I REALLY love that kitties are front and center. I love me some kitties ;+) Thanks for joining the swap and for sending so promptly; it was a pleasure to receive!
Response: I really like putting together this mini magpie! Please continue to do these swaps on the regular. It is a popular magpie swap!
Comment: Sounds like your family had a good Easter. I remember helping a family friend hide close to 100 eggs all over the yard for 3 young-uns to find. Some of the plastic eggs had money and one egg had the grand prize, a fifty dollar bill. Those kids were all over that hunt. Fun times. Thanks for swapping with me and letting me have fun hosting 😉 more to come!
Response: My pleasure! I had lots of fun with you too! Anytime you want to do a swap, I'm in!
Comment: Selene as always you exceeded my happy 😃 happy. I love the envelope I love the old stamps and I couldn’t agree more bout the eBay buying stamps thing. We r prob outbidding one another on some of those lots. Now silly question how do those extras u sent work? Do I rub them on to a piece of paper? Are they stickers? Thanks! ❤️😁😍🌻
Response: They are washi stickers. Just very thin on plastic. You may be able to see the cut edges in the light. My pleasure. I am glad you liked it!
Comment: I used to love four square too! We made up so many different rules for it and there used to be lines of kids at school waiting to play. Our school actually painted four square lines on the blacktop.
Response: I remember running out to get the best ball for it first. Heh. Thank you for the heart!
Comment: Thanks! That does seem really strange that some places forbid playing on the park grass -- what's it even for, then? :P
Response: I really had difficulty figuring it out too. I guess just to look at? Perhaps a thing that the wealthy did? This was in Europe so having large spots of just manicured lawn. /shrug Thank you for the heart!
Comment: Thank you for all the cards you sent 7 with only 5 being required. Thank you for being so generous. I like the 5 stamps you used. There was no note or swap name and user ID. Please be careful to include.
Response: Oh my! I am so sorry for forgetting the swap name and user ID! I will do my best not to let that happen again. I am glad you liked the selection I chose! :)
Response: I wouldn't mind doing it so much or persay trying it out if I wasn't buying a ton of clay. I'd rather buy one primary color and then others smaller amounts. Charms wouldn't take that much. Imagine buying a whole black FIMO clay just to put on two little eyes.
Comment: Lmao... two types of people in this world: those who love Peeps and those who LOATHE them :P I fall on the love side! They make a Peeps-flavored coffee creamer.. just found out. *runs to Target*
Response: I love the Peep bunny plushies! I fell in love with them ever before liking peeps candy. Heh
Comment: Agh, cleaning. :/ pretty much what I spent my entire weekend doing -3-
Response: I clean and it just gets messy again. Somedays I fell I am just moving around piles. However, I do move trash, recycle and other stuff out of the house. It is the trying to slow stuff coming into the house that is the issue!
Comment: Thank you Selene for the Deco Book, yes, I will enjoy decorating a page in the book. Also, I love the vintage artwork note cards, & thanks for the variety of postage stamps on the envelope. Happy Spring!
Comment: Super kawaii! Memo sheet letter and I know what you mean about feeling like you have to print tiny. Thank you very much for everything. I’m gushing over these blk n white printed (or stamped) kawaii images. I get to break out my crayons or crayon pencils 😁❤️
Response: I bought those digital images to print out and tuck into letters. Something different for Kawaii and I help support an Etsy artist!
Comment: When you finish your house in a tin you must send me pictures!
Response: (looks over at the still unopened box) yea..I need to work on that heh. It is the one goal that is dragging on. I keep finding other things to do. I think I am apprehensive and afraid I might mess it up.
Comment: Thanks for the letter and plant illustration! I've actually been seeing a lot of those little hanging things around the neighborhood and have been wondering what they are. Now I know; Hazelnut Catkins!
Response: I love just flipping through her book. She did such beautiful illustrations. Thank you for the heart!
Comment: I know what you mean about being a behind, sometimes you are playing catch up. But then you get all caught up with SB and everything feels right in the world hehe. Nope I have never made a chocolate butterfly without a mold. But I looked up the book/wax paper method and I think that would be fun to try!
Response: I think it would look so pretty done in tinted white chocolate on top of a cupcake! I am almost caught up rating, then back to doing more swaps so I can join more swaps! Yippie!
Comment: Very cute! I enjoyed reading about Tuna! When I was a baby we had a cat named Oliver that was actually a feral kitten my mom found years before and worked with everyday. I remember he used to let me pick him up and haul him around. Your story reminded me of him! <3
Response: It is so cute how animals respond to children! They put up with so much!
Comment: I received this letter undamanged and with no tea!!! This letter was all about me and swaps from the past! Not a happy letter at all! So, much for happy mail! Thank you for the 3 page letter letting me no how unsatisfied you are with me! 4/8/2019 Messaged my partner about the tea and of course her notes say she put it in but the package was Undamaged!!!! May God Bless You! I rated a 5 only bc I want this swap over not bc the swap was correct! 4/11/19 I received a package even after rating her a 5 and even telling her she didn't need to send! Although, I'm sure it is nice I am not going to open it as I was excited for the letter and was really hurt by it!
Response: Prior to this rating, I had already sent out tea with extra for the lack of tea being with it. I just stated as my notes were that it should have been there. I might have put it with another swap, I dunno. I did say I would resend. I sent 3 tea bags to make up for it and extras. USPS tracking 9500 1102 4382 9098 2083 99
Comment: Catching up on some ratings after a nasty illness. Love this card about the Redwoods. That area was one of the first road trips I did with my hubby. Hope you have many more long walks enjoying the sun. Thanks Selene.
Response: I am glad that your feeling better. I hope you get to come up this way again some time. <3
Comment: Thanks for the lovely swap. One of your vintage stamps fell of the one in the middle. I so wonder what I missed out on. I love your old stamps. PS the PO didnt charge me any postage due, it was very clear with the postmarks that it fell off. I will use the two remaining the Abraham Lincoln and the Indiana on some atc soon. Like today. I am in a postage stamp mix up atc swap due soon.
Response: My pleasure! I love using the vintage stamps. They are the perfect way to envie decorate! Also I do collect stamps off the incoming swaps so if you would like some used postage for ATC or other art, just send me a message here at SB. I would be happy to send you some.
Response: Their stationery is so creative and such a nice size. I love to use it. It is one reason why I do the mismatched letter set swap though. I always end up with leftovers and had to find a fun way to use them! <3
Comment: Okay, let me start at the beginning: the stamps. Holy crap that was amazing!! Then the butterfly card? It is just absolutely stunning! And thank you for the beautiful washi, it's so pretty!! (I like sweet and savory-just depends on my mood lol)
Response: I am so happy you liked it! Thank you for the heart!
Comment: Thank you. You do a lot of what i do also. Esp. with the long scarfs for winter months. I use the lighter ones for the semi cool days too from March to the end April. Thank you too for the yummy tea.
Response: Yep, scarf or long sleeve pulled over my hand. I just picked up a lighter scarf! Thank you for the heart.
Comment: Thank you so much, I just got your samples they are lovely and oh my goodness that Tokyo Disney Bambi paper!!! I adore it! I also wish we had more luck in the Disney Stationary department here in the US.
Response: I don't know why Disney hasn't tried to jump on the stationery band wagon especially with planners. I had a difficult time just finding some postcards last trip i went to Disneyland. Then 5$ a PC! I did find a few for 3$ but still, pricey!
Comment: Thank you for the cards. I do not collect or send vintage cards but I will take your advice about using them in journals. Thanks for the recommendations on journal making. i will definitely look them up!!😀
Response: I figure that they are usually only meant to be seen mostly from the front so might as well give them a home in a journal. I like collecting the vintage and pretty ones just for that. Journal making isn't easy but it also wasn't as hard as I thought it would be either. Also it is less expensive than I thought. There are some great starter kits with all the tools you need on Amazon as well for really good price.
Comment: Hello...hello. Yikes, a deco from 2002 and it's still circulating? I'm going to have to check the address to see if it's still current. Thank you for the nice Rolo Deco. I've yet to do one of these before so I'm a bit excited. Happy swapping, lady. =)
Response: Yea, making sure the address isn't as fun but it sure is nice to send them home. I look forward to seeing one of my decos finished one day :)
Comment: OOH I love how your paper turned out! How crispy and cool!
Response: I was hoping you would have fun with that! I love the way it sounds and feels. Just a little different! I'm trying to figure out other colors. I read that avocado skins make pink dye for paper!
Comment: The card is gorgeous, and thank you for the tea ♡. I agree with you about the variety of flavors of tea -- there's something for any craving you might have, but coffee is pretty much the same every time!
Response: Also to make coffee really different then lots of calories have to be introduced. Oh that makes me crave some Celestial Seasoning Zinger. I love those teas! Thank you for the heart!
Comment: Congrats on making your grumpy postman smile :)
Response: Its cute now he has to work to be grumpy when he sees me. I feel a little bad if I don't make it out to the mail box when he arrives. If all I do in life is help people smile from time to time. That's a good life.
Comment: I agree with so many things! I love the stationery you used too :)
Response: I love LaPaperie! They are on Etsy and have a subscription. Don't look! It is the perfect size and so nice. If you would like a RAK of some, just let me know. I could send you a sampling hehe.
Comment: We really do sign up to challenge ourselves don't we?! hah! XD If you feel like making me a friendship bracelet well I would accept :P I could send you over a clay charm in return - I used to make super cute kawaii-style polymer clay charms.. I wish I had kept at it, I would be so good at it by now! You were a chem major? I was bio! Did a total 180 there about halfway through, but best decision I ever made! And yes - I finally hit that point where I don't need to double-check your addy! Memorized!!!~ ^^
Response: I should have done my birthday like you. None of us has an excuse to skip your birthday. LOL. That would be fun to make. However, we would need to set up a swap for it to get it done. You know it!
Comment: I feel like accountability is something the both of us need. Like, want to work on art more? Make a swap and a deadline to FORCE yourself. Want to track what you eat? Use a journal and relay it all to a buddy. personally I need someone sometimes to keep tabs and help me out.
Response: Yep! It has helped me feel more accomplished. I do need to skip that if listed in the pick 3 of the 5 prompts. I tend to just write and do all 5. Then I am telling my goal progress over a few swaps, gets repetitive. Didn't I just write that?! Also if ya think about it, no one can give you feedback at the time your writing. I can work it out in my head and onto paper. It isn't like telling my mom the same thing in the room. She always wants to give feedback right away. Sometimes, we are not looking for feedback. She is a great mom :)
Comment: I feel like I know some of my online friends more than those IRL... and if you're part of a gaming community? You really get to know those people through that. I have a few friends that play "LoL" and they definitely get into it and know each other well.
Response: Exactly! Grouping up and going through an obstacle aka dungeon however without the need of a shower like going on a hike and camping together. Less clean up and I get to sleep in my own bed at night! However the explaining to others who don't can be difficult. Such as explaining SB to family.
Comment: Hello Selene! I apologize it has taken so long for me to rate. Thank you for your postcard of Newport (I grew up close to there so it is special!) & the lovely stamps you chose, & Happy Swapping!
Response: My pleasure. I hope you had a fun trip. Thank you for the heart.
Comment: Thanks for the note. Was always interested in book binding - so cool that you taught yourself via Youtube!
Response: YouTube makes it easy cause I can watch 5 different ways to make the same thing. Pick my favorite teacher and rewind 50 times without pissing them off. In a real class that would be .. "I'm sorry teacher but I don't get a word of what you are saying so is there another teacher that knows this than can explain it better?" "Yea, now that you have explained this project to me, can you go back to that one part and slowly go through it again 10 times?" "You mean I need to pay for this class? Not just watch a commercial on your break?"
Comment: Cats are the best! Give Shadow some pets from me, and a meow from Mr. Carter!
Response: I pet Shadow just for you. He showed cat butt in approval. My youngest is going on and on about Pets 2 movie coming out. I have to admit the cat is my favorite part. She should have her own movie. Heh.
Comment: Thank you for the card and the really cool stamps!!! I definitely buy many pc on vacay to send! :]
Response: It is funny but my husband has gotten used to it and now helps me find them. Not that this whole box next to me isn't enough. Totally not enough...variety! Of course hehe. Thank you for the heart!
Comment: Don't you just HATE IT when the Blarney stone kisses you back???! I know I do! haha! Love the card and the stickers but mostly that it was from you! Have a magnificent day and happy swapping.....
Response: No kidding! That stone is just too fresh! Hehe. Love swapping with you too <3
Comment: This is out of this world! Thank you for a beautifully packaged swap and OMG I cannot get over how amazing all these stickers are! I absolutely love these, especially the space themed ones ❤️❤️❤️
Response: I was hoping you would have fun with those. Thank you so much for all the hearts!
Comment: Love love your answer , the grumpy cat pc and the old stamps. Always makes me smile when it appears the stamps haven't been cancelled or gone thru a machine. Thanks so much and for hosting. --myancey
Response: I love that too! I just found those Grumpy Cat PCs too. Thank you for the heart!
Response: Thank you for your feedback. I had no issues with Swap #1 so I did not see the error but now I have reworded it for this and future swaps. This swap was simply to answer the prompt on a mismatched letter set. I apologize to you and my other swap participants for any confusion.
Comment: Celebrating National Pi Day sounds so cool! Also, you should totally make a Travel Wee pet. It sounds super cute.
Response: I have thought of that but going to the store to buy a 2" by 2" square of faux fur might not go over well. How much do you need? Okay...yea we only sell by the yard. Travel Wees for everyone! That doesn't sound right. Heh
Comment: Thanks so much for the awesome envie and stickers...Ive never had this brand before and now I feel like I need them in my life lol
Response: I signed up for the subscription of Stickii and Pipsticks at the same time and after 1 month it was Pipsticks who? Now I pick up all 3 different subs from Stickii each month and I have never been disappointed. You can find a link to Stickii in my profile. Thank you for the heart!
Comment: That was to funny 😆 wrong thread. Well I hope you make another one with the right thread this time LOL.
Response: I sure did and went all out with the Spring colors instead of Mardi Gras this time. For the unfinished one I cut it short and tied to the spine of my newest Magpie Journal that I just sent off today. I added charms to it to make it even prettier. Thank you for the heart! <3
Comment: I love this unicorn stationery! Gotta love LaPapierre. And those unicorn stickers are gorgeous. Thank you! I don't mind fussy cutting every once in a while. Congrats on doing so many decos! I usually get through 3 or 4 easier ones and wait until I am having to send them in a swap to finish the rest LOL.
Response: I have started just putting a weekend day aside to work on them. I like having them ready to go. Luckily I have also gotten my mom to do some pages in some of them which is really nice because is a very good artist. 🍀💗🍀💗🍀💗
Comment: Making miniature scenes in tins sounds so cool! I will have to Google it just to see some finished products!
Response: This is the one I am planning on making you can see the video of it here. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O5AEQ-knG2E&index=6&t=0s&list=WL The kit was 8$ to 10$ which is pretty nice for all you get. I just hope I have the skill. Sometimes people make it look easier than it is! Thank you for the heart!
Comment: Exactly! I feel like I need to hold myself accountable to someone besides myself to really make progress! Your deco books are so cool, I'd like to maybe give it a try sometime. I think I would have to make it a swap to FORCE myself to have a deadline XD! Loved the unicorn letter set you wrote on hehe ^^
Response: I have only been doing deco books for maybe 2 months now. They are fun and some are easier than others. I will tell you about it in a future letter. 🦋🍀
Comment: Thank you, esp for sending blank. You are taking after me with the corny jokes, LOL. I love them!!
Response: My pleasure! So you are the one that tells Alexa all the corny jokes?! I was wondering where she got them from. Here is another for you then... Why did the fox cross the road? Free chicken! Hehe
Comment: Thanks for the letter! I still don't know what Galentine's Day is LOL I must Google it.
Response: Evidently Feb 11, 2010 Parks and Recreation TV show one of the chrs makes up Galentine's Day, Feb 13th for women to celebrate other women and it stuck and moved into more than just the TV show.
Comment: Cute card! Love the stickers! Where did you find these? I have looked everywhere for these type stickers!!
Response: I found them at Walmart in the cards section next to the St. Patrick's Day Cards. Sometimes I find them in Target too but the same thing they are tucked in with the cards. Thank you for the heart!
Comment: thanks for the wonderful micky mouse card!
true, it is overwhelming what lovely stationery is out there ... you'll need to write full-time & send out more letters to keep within storage limitations! best of luck with that ;)
Response: Doing the best I can! Hehe :) Happy Swapping!
Comment: Thank you for the interesting Keith Haring PC & the joke!
Response: It is fun when my husband or mom come down to see what I am doing with my swaps. I always them have help me with this type. The amount of weird PCs I have in my arsenal is become a bit odd. LOL Thank you for the heart!
Comment: Oh my goodness and WOW! This is an amazing magpie journal! I loved that you made the journal book itself, and will be looking through the pages for days! I wish I could rate you higher than a 5 and a heart, because I can tell you really put in a lot of time, effort and consideration. Thank you SO much for such an amazing journal!
Response: I have a love hate relationship with that book. I swore many times at it! I came out very nice and I am so happy you are having fun with it!
Comment: Thank you for the very pretty notecard and the amazing washis you enclosed. These are definitely thongvto be very grateful for and I hope you will enjoy your place after the decluttering is over.
Response: In a way I am enjoying the lack of clutter in my way but now I have to remember where I stored everything. Hehe. Thank you for the heart!
Comment: First of all, I love the vintage postage stamps on the envelope as always. Second of all, I got the name shinyserra because my favorite Magic the Gathering card is Serra Angel and the shiny foil version is my favorite. I'm a nerd. Lastly, people I tell about Swap-bot find it odd too! They're always like oh that's interesting...but you can tell they're thinking not really LOL
Response: Yep either they are like umm, sure she is into vintage things like Writing with pen and paper?! I had one ask me if it was just email... Others will be so excited they will want you to write the info down. Its like all my life I have been looking for others to write to! Sort of deal lol.
Comment: You know, I love this sort of art but yah, it is weird! I guess I don't look that close! LOL.
Response: Yea! At first I was like that is so cute then I was like wait a min, isn't she cold? Or maybe the elk rescued her so she is happy! But that elk looks dumbfounded by her kissing him. So into the WTH PC pile it went! hehe Thank you for the heart!
Comment: Thanks for the lovely card and note.
I hope things continue to go well for you.
I have wanted to try book binding but haven't gotten everything together yet.
Response: My pleasure! Johanna Clough on YouTube was one of the easiest tutorials to follow for making a basic signature out of simple supplies. [Click here for basic book link](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5oqu96yxw8g) or for making an entire journal she also has [Click here for making a journal with basic household items](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iNpOffXCb58) If you have any other questions or would like links to other helpful videos. Please feel free to ask. I like how Johanna uses the most basic items so I could just get in there and have fun. If you don't have the waxed linen thread you can use waxed dental floss! If you are going to tea stain or dye papers in any way, the Georgia Pacific copy paper is cheap and holds up to the dying process. Happy crafting! *sorry, couldn't get the links to work this time
Comment: Yes, isn't La Papierre wonderful?? I subscribe to it. They are moving and not taking their stationery with them so I think the Etsy shop will be out of stock on everything until they build back up once they move. That's what their email said. Sigh. I will miss all of the old patterns!
Response: I have been buying up the old stuff on clearence! I just sub'd to them. I did start a new swap for mismatched letter sets! Come join! Today is last day to sign up!
Comment: Thank you so much for the vintage look PC! Your list made me hungry, I'll be right over. LOL!
Response: My pleasure! Everyone has their favorite but the one that seems to go over the most is the Nutty Sweet Potato Casserole that recipe which I found in a Rachael Ray magazine. If your curious, this is the website https://www.rachaelraymag.com/recipe/nutty-sweet-potato-casserole
Comment: Thank you for the Valentine card. Love all the extra goodies. I got a big kick out of the Valentine joke. I've been telling it to anyone that will listen. They all groan and roll their eyes, but they all chuckle.
Response: Alexa saves me all the time when I don't know what to write. She also has the cheesiest jokes. Today's was ... How many software developers does it take to screw in a light bulb? Zero. A light bulb is a hardware problem.
Comment: Hi Selene! The Panda Rilakkuma is my favorite, and two of my partners for this swap used it. I almost overloaded on the cuteness! :) I totally forgot about The Curse of Oak Island! I watched the first season, and then lost track of it. I had no idea there are 5 seasons now! I agree that these kinds of shows are way better than the typical "reality" shows. I guess I have a lot of binging in my future to catch up on what's happening in the Money Pit! lol Thank you for writing me and for the cute flakes!
Response: Oh Curse of Oak Island is on season 6 now airing and I am glued. They just keep finding more and more stuff! It is amazing.
Comment: Thank you for your letter. Binding books sounds like fun!
Response: My pleasure. I found a few videos on You Tube that helped. This one in particular was instrumental and as you can see she has over 3 million views of it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iNpOffXCb58
The only thing that I added is I reinforce (advice from another video) with Tyvek along the inside and outside of the basic box about an inch on either side past the spine. Tyvek sounds complex but if you have been to the post office which I knowyou have cause we are swappers heh. Those priority envelops that are made out of what looks like white paper is it. Tyvek is water proof and tear proof which makes it perfect for reinforcing a spine. Those envelopes are free to pick up and one can be used to help reinforce several book spines. Much cheaper than buying a roll of that stuff. When starting out that works fine. Thank you for the heart!
Comment: Thanks for nice decos and stamps on the envelopes. The envelope was torn open on one end, but I think everything was still in tact.
Response: This is why those machines are in hidden locations because swappers would come attack them with brooms, mops, canes, scissors, pens and pencils. Darn P O machines that eat our mail!!! The likely belch after every bite! However...I am glad it all made it :)
Comment: Ohhh gosh! I can not wipe the smile off my face! Thank you so MUCH for the adorable card. First thing is the awesome kawaii stickers on the envelope and the crocodile folding card inside plus stickers!!! I’m such a little kid 😆❤️ I’m just starting kawaii so I have a lot to learn. My first stationary should arrive next week. You made my day!
Response: I am so happy you liked them! Welcome to the crazy happy cute that is Kawaii!
Comment: The Handmaid's Tale - SO GOOD. Since you asked - I am an IT security engineer. I am a consultant so sometimes I get to travel. Right now I am on a residency in Chicago though. I will be honest... My handwriting is usually atrocious. [Though that isn't a secret!!! XD] I need to stop rushing it so much, then it would look nicer.
Response: Your handwriting rivals a nurse. Hehe. That is okay, I have grown accustomed to reading it! I have no room to talk myself and I am not a nurse either. Oh IT security engineer who likes Kawaii. My mind thinks of Penelope Garcia from Criminal Minds. She is my favorite character!
Comment: GOT YOUR PACKAGE TODAY!!! I am SO. FREAKIN'. EXCITED...!!! I LOVE IT ALL. The unicorn solar figure, the DIY figurine, washi tapes, unicorn lip smacker [that so takes me back!!!], Beanie Boos keychain - already on my backpack as I type this, STICKER STORAGE [I needed this btw!!!], sketch book, stickers, craft kit, notecards.... OH MY GOODNESS! I am overwhelmed with sparkles and rainbows right now. Thank you for such a thoughtful and amazing package. My week is made ^^
Response: I am so happy you loved it. It did have a few kiddie pieces in it but I figured it evened out with that sticker binder! Holo with a unicorn!
Comment: Thank you for the Valentine wishes and all the fabulous extra cards! You must love Valentine’s Day as much as I do!
Response: Woot! It arrived! I think mail goes to Canada by boat around South America from the USA. I do! I do! Love Valentines Day! My hunny and I are making plans :) I can't wait to go out on the town with him! I hope you have a fun Valentines Day too!
Comment: Thank you for the pretty notecard! I never knew of this trait you have. You educated me that is for sure!
Response: My pleasure! Yea, took me a while to be happy about them. People would ask my mom about my pretty eyes as a young child and she would tell them that I have "Cats Eyes" that change color which is the common term the doctor told her. I thought it was silly because my eyes don't look like a cat's eyes! Ahh its been a while since I was 5 years old. Heh
Comment: How cool, thanks for telling me about your eyes! And for the beautiful butterflies and the old stamps!
Response: Yea! I liked this prompt. At first it was umm, what do I write about? Then it was duhh oh yea my eyes! It is definitely not for my memory. Sigh LOL I love butterflies! Those stamps are so fun. Everyone seems to enjoy them :) Thank you for the heart!
Comment: Enjoyed the funny PC and clever way to list your answers. Thanks for the Fun “F” swap!
Response: Heh, that comes from private school making us copy our spelling words over and over. Then we had to make sentences. Then lastly we had to make a story about them. I always loved that last part. Hehe
Comment: That's exactly how I feel - like I love making art on small scale.. but if I were to turn it into a money-maker it might take the fun out of it a bit :/ Trying to remember right now that all victories... no matter how small - are victories nonetheless! :)
Response: I agree on both points! Thank you for the heart!
Comment: Yikes! Glad you got your windshield replaced, that must have been startling. I have not tried that Final Fantasy but I did start Kingdom Hearts 3, great game! May have to get back into Final Fantasy sometime. Hope you have a nice Valentine's Day :)
Response: I am curious about Kingdom Hearts but hubby wants to play FF14. I hope you have a fun Valentine's Day too!
Comment: You ordered a chicken and an egg from Amazon?! For real?
Response: Heh, no was a joke. But they can be ordered, half dozen at a time, fertilized and hatch able. [Amazon Chicken Eggs](https://www.amazon.com/6-Fertile-Hatching-Chicken-Eggs/dp/B00WSAFGCM/ref=sr_1_13?ie=UTF8&qid=1549424385&sr=8-13&keywords=chicken+egg)
Comment: Thanks for the nice PC and to you and your husband for your note. I have enjoyed the 'Maximum Ride' and the 'Harry Potter' books. Another friend recently recommended the Percy Jackson books to me too. I will have to do that and check out the Divergent books too. They both sound like I would enjoy them.
Response: My pleasure! I passed your message along to him. Thank you for the heart!
Comment: Love, LOVE the vintage Christmas cards and postcard you sent. Such a fun swap. Thanks for hosting!
I will be checking our your bookbinding.
Bookbinders, unite! :)
Response: I just finished a new one this past weekend. I had to get creative with my 12 x 12 paper since my book was 11.75 inch laid out! Doh! So I turned it at an angle and covered the corners. It turned out well but now I need to magpie fill it! I hope this next week or weekend I will make two more. Thank you for the heart!
Comment: Thank you so much for the great swap with the red envie with multiple postage stamps incl hearts ♥ stamp. Great photography on this red typewriter theme ♥ valentine. You are so sweet to treat me with a bag of EG tea and the adorable owl theme to be colored post cards. Happy Valentine's Day ♥
Response: I am so happy you liked it! Thank you for the heart!
Comment: Hi Selene! Loved your PC! I guess Geese do all kinds of strange and wonderful things. LOL! They are unnaturally laying in the bed. That is strangest of all! No salt shaker, just a pepper shaker. and the one frog is jumping up the one Goose's mouth! Now that is strange! This PC takes the cake and wins the Prize! Whatever that may be! Thanks for sharing it with me.... Missed you also! Happy swapping....
Comment: Selene, I love the valentine wreath postcard! It’s so pretty! Thank you! And thank you so much for the stationary and pretty stickers! The Daiso store sounds very cool! Oh and love the pretty envelope too 🙂 Happy Valentines Day!❤️
Response: Oh the Daiso store is lots of fun. I highly recommend if you get a chance to go. Happy Valentines Day to you too! <3
Comment: Such very lovely postcards! Thanks also for choosing cards that perfectly fit my profile - I just love each one! Thank you for an extra, also, and for the cute Pooh stationery and pretty postage you used. Of course your swap card is wonderful, too - what a great swap! I have heard Disney Sea is the most beautiful of all our parks: I hope to get there someday also. Have you taken a Disney cruise? They are awesome!
Response: My pleasure! I have wanted to go on a Disney cruise but haven't yet. Thank you for the heart.
Comment: Thanks for the PC. I am anxiously waiting to find out which comes first!
Response: My pleasure! As far as the egg or the chicken, I was called by the chicken but I couldn't understand what she was clucking about hitching a ride on a cucumber truck. The egg may have gotten scrambled in transit. Still nothing has arrived.
Comment: Thanks for joining my swap & for the cute Valentine's Day goodies. I love the puppy card & stickers & the hedgehog valentine is so cute too! The old postage stamps on the front were an added plus! Happy Valentine's Day!
Comment: very old school ny card thanks love
did the egg or chickens arrive
Response: Thank you! Wish sometimes is a good spot to get some decent PCs. I was pleasantly surprised. As far as the egg or the chicken, I was called by the chicken but I couldn't understand what she was clucking about hitching a ride on a cucumber truck. The egg may have gotten scrambled in transit. Still nothing has arrived.
Comment: Thank you for your letter. Such cute Tinkerbell stationery. I love your strong points. Helping others is a great quality. I also love the vintage postage stamps that you used.
Response: I received that stationery in a swap with @washingtonmaverick for an advent calendar. I was so happy to use it this time around. I have way too much stationery but I love writing letters! Postage was the first stickers for envelopes! Hehe. 🌺💗🌺
Comment: Pretty notecard! Your fantasy vacation sounds very nice! I especially agree with the part about no bugs! Nothing ruins a vacation in nature like a swarm of mosquitoes! Thanks for sharing! Happy swapping!
Response: Bugs are my #1 reason for not wanting to go on a trip. Thank you for the heart! 🌺💗🌺
Comment: Hahaha! This is a great answer, and I think your cards are fantastic! PS Love the notecard you used.
Response: Thank you! I have been slowly using those cards. I am a bit crazy when it comes to stationery supplies. I have a very understanding husband though that feels that as long as the stationery chaos is tidy and used he is fine with my "hobby". LOL Thank you for the hearts!
