Comment: Ksenia, THANK YOU so much for your answers. I can't tell you how thrilled I was to find out information about Israel that I didn't know (which is a lot I don't know but so happy to learn new things about it!) You made my whole day!! (Hugs)
Comment: Thank you so much for the email! I've not heard of the books you read so it was nice to hear of some different books! I've added them to my TBR. I hope you have a good reading month for February ^_^
Comment: Hi Ksenia, Thanks for the quotes. I had never heard of them before but really like them all. Really liked the one from the Hitchhiker guide to the galaxy and Vladimir Nabokov. You have got me interested in checking them out more. Happy swapping.
Comment: Thank you for the lovely card, Ksenia! I hope you got some colder weather! It finally got cold here last week after a long long long wait. I get to wear my favorite jacket. :):):) Thank you for the resend and the lovely card. Great things DO take time :):):)
Comment: Thank you for your great Bookworm Corner mail. I especially like the way you used different fonts, colors and sections to highlight the different parts of the review. It made it so comfortable to read! The books sound really good! :)
Response: You're welcome, thank you for the heart.
Comment: Wow! Your PC finally arrived on 8/8! Crazy. I'd love to have hitched a ride on it to see where it's been! You hit on 3 of my favorites. Desert Botanical Garden is top of my list, too. I'd add the MIM--Musical Instrument Museum. It's very unique. Check it out! Let me know when you do come for a visit and I'll take you around!
Comment: Thanks! I love the postcard you used. I don’t read a lot of sci-fi, but I do like time-travel, so I was intrigued enough to look the book up. It does sound interesting. Did you end up liking it?
Comment: Thank you for the Landschaft postcard - very nice! Also the Little Prince paper and washi decorations are so pleasing to the eye I've put up your card on my bulletin board. Enjoy the summertime moments.
Comment: Thanks for sharing! I'm hoping the next read will be more influenced by the culture than the ones I've read so far. Most could literally take place anywhere in the contemporary world--first world countries, at least.
Comment: Thank you for the resend. These unique postcards definitely fit the categories! I especially enjoy the guy riding the fish! If the original swap ever arrives here, I will let you know and RAK you!
Comment: Thanks for the resend. :) I agree with you -- damsels in distress annoy the heck out of me. I loved all the info you gave in the header to your review. That's a great way to get a lot of info about the book quickly. This is the first time I've seen someone do that. I hope we can swap again in the future, and that the postal system cooperates next time. :)
Comment: Sorry for the late rate! Sounds like a mixed bag ... did you finish it?
Response: Thank you for rating and heart. I did not. There were nothing particularly bad about the book, but it was not exciting enough. It is on hold for now. I think I will finish it eventually. right now I am at 80%
Comment: Thanks for your answers. Almost all of the authors you mentioned were new to me. None of the ones I googled were translated in finnish, but I'll consider reading some in english.
PS. In the swap directions it said to send answers in PM, but I don't mind that you used e-mail. I think it was actually more readable, since swap-bot seems to make line breaks and other formatting vanish.
Comment: Thank you for sharing your list with me. I have Hotel California, Paint It Black (Ciara), and You Don't Own Me (Grace ft G-Eazy) on my Dec Playlist. Great minds think alike! I couldn't see the Within Temptation video. I couldn't see it in my country. I like them, so I will have to go look for it. Billy Mack is awesome lol.
Comment: Thank you so much for the amazing Christmas post card which you designed yourself. I would be giving it a lot more than 1 ❤️ if that were possible. Very best wishes for a happy and fulfilling 2019
Comment: Pipe is so cute! I have a huge shark I cuddle with so I get you, totally :D good luck with the exhibition! If I would see a real spider that size in my home I would probably burn the whole house down and run as far as I could, no thank you! Give Soni kisses from me, what a cutie♡
Comment: Thank you for sharing your book list with me. There are definitely a couple books on your list I am interested in reading. I also plan to look at a few others and possibly add them to my list of books to read.
Comment: Thank you for the log! I always find it funny when I read that people "only read 4 books" during the month and that it isn't a lot, because I typically read only 2 books per month. So you shouldn't feel bad because you didn't read as much as you wanted. There are worse people than you! ;-)
Comment: thank you for the resend of the reading log. i can tell that you really love the historical genre.just curious if you read non-historical books..
Response: Thank you for rating. I am not good with reality. Majority of books I read are Fantasy, Sci-Fi or Historical Romances. I suppose you can count Urban Fantasy as not historical :) But, as it happens I am reading contemporary romance right now.
Comment: What a wonderful - and full - day you had! I enjoyed getting a glimpse into your world, and seeing your beautiful art work. The sushi at the Japanese restaurant and your lunch both looked delicious.
Response: Glad you enjoyed. The day was quite full, indeed. Thank you for your kind words and heart.
Comment: The exhibition sounds so amazing, I wish you all the best! Such important subject matter :) don't worry about not driving, I have a license but I never drive, I just don't like it :/ I would love to live in London as well, I've only been there once but it had such a home-vibe it was amazing! Thanks for sharing :)
Response: You're welcome, thank you for the heart. The exhibition was quite a success. Thank you for your kind words. London is one of my favorite cities. I will be visiting in 3 weeks. It will be my 10th visit.
Comment: It's funny, but going through the questions to answer them, I didn't think they were THAT American, but seeing your answers and some from other non-American swappers, I realized just how many terms and foods really are an "American thing"! And we tend to think there aren't any 'real, true American foods'. I guess it's mostly items that are pre-packaged, like Hamburger Helper! That's not a good thing ....
Thanks for sharing your answers, and for giving a heads up that it would be a bit late. :)
Response: You're welcome. I actually cooked some thing from the list. Cheese Corn is my new favorite :)
Comment: A lot of the books on your list intrigue me and I will be looking it over to see which ones I'm going to start with. And, what surprises me is that I've only read 2 books on your list! As much as I read that is really unusual! Thank you!
Response: Glad you enjoyed the list, thank you for the heart.
Comment: I enjoyed reading your answers and some the books you listed reminded me of the days me and my mother use to read books together grewing up. Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen is one of my mother's favorite books and movies. She never gets tired of it and nor do I.
Response: Glad you enjoyed, thank you for the heart. I used to read the same books with my mother too.
Comment: Thanks for the Aubrey Beardsley card, Ksenia. Good choice as it's one of my favorites of his as well. Sadly the postal system did its best to destroy it -- but that's all part of the mail exchange game isn't it?
Response: You're right this is a part of the postcard exchange, and that's why I love them being sent naked... Glad you liked the postcard, thank you for the heart.
Comment: Thanks for the Alice PC! Great stamps too:) I have a few Alice collectibles, my favourite is a “Mad Hatter” teapot that my grandparents bought for me. The story is also a favourite of my Mom’s so I have a few postcards I like to randomly send her way. I’d love to send you a few if you’d like!
Response: You're welcome, thank you for the heart. The teapot sound cool. I always happy to get Alice postcards :)
Comment: I enjoyed getting a glimpse into your day. Your breakfast looked delicious, and the entire day sounded so relaxing. I wish we lived within walking distance of a market. Living in the country, we have to drive to places like that.
Response: Glad you enjoyed my mail, thank you for the heart. This specific market not so close to me, but I do live 5 min from Spice market :D
Comment: I'm glad you're enjoying An Alchemy of Masques and Mirrors so far, Ksenia! I'm sorry you weren't able to finish it, but I hope you will enjoy it through its ending! I really loved it and would love to have someone with whom to talk to about it. :-) Thank you for sharing your thoughts on what you've read so far! <3
Response: It turned to be an excellent read. Loved it very very much. It definitely entered my top reads list. Pity the next one will be only next year. Thank you for the heart.
Comment: Thank you for resending your swap to me, Ksenia! It looks like you read a lot of really great books in March. I think your lowest rating was 4.5 stars! :-) I hope your April was as good of a month, and that future months in this year will be as good or even better! Thank you so much for sharing! :-) <3
Response: The reading not goes according to the goal. Goodreads claims I am 3 books behind, but at least I am enjoying my reads.Thank you for the heart.
Comment: The resend finally found me! Thanks so much for your efforts :) And thank you as well for sharing your thoughts! I look forward to reading them more in depth, and hopefully adding a few of them to my TBR :)
Response: happy you got it at last. Thank you for the rating and heart.
Comment: Wow, Ksenia! I recommended book 1 of that series last June and you're already through to number 20?! I guess it must really be a new favorite of yours. That is GREAT! I still haven't read the first book. I'll get to it someday! :-) Thank you so much for sharing! :-) <3
Response: Well, not really. I read 8 out of 9 existing Imp books (loved them all), 3 standalone romances in the extended universe and 2 shorts. But i seriously can claim Sam to be my second favorite female MC, just after Torin Kerr. Thank you for the heart.
Comment: That's a bummer that this first book in a new series wasn't the greatest opener. Maybe book two or later will be better? Do you plan to read more in this series? Maybe this is a book that will be better if you reread it after reading further into the series? (Kate Daniels' book one was like that for me.) Great review, though, Ksenia, thank you for sharing!
Response: Glad you enjoyed my review, thank you for the heart. I doubt the next one will be better, as it will be even more centered on the kids. But I suppose i will read it when it will be published.
Comment: Great photos, Ksenia! You're right, that cat IS adorable. Looks like a character! :-) That's so neat that your work put up that art on its elevators! :-) And what do you mean by your LAST clouds? You get unrelieved sunshine from April through January? :-( I LOVE your panda mug! So cute! Those ears! :-) I'm sorry your cactus fell. I hope it was not damaged too badly. :-( That's so weird that you weren't able to find much purple. But I know you said you were ill, so you probably couldn't go out and about in search of purple things. I'm glad you found at least a little bit of something purple! Thank you so much for sharing! :-) <3
Response: Yeh, Soni is such a cutie. I was supposed to meet the actors from the series today, but I was busty with work. We do have occasional white things in the sky, but mostly it is sunshine and bright blue sky from May to mid November. We don't have Autumn, it's just one day it hot the next the rains start. the cactus has a new pot and yesterday I bought a few new plants. Thank you for the heart :D
Comment: I received your cards, and will return the Krusche illustration in today's mail. Thanks so much for the RIWAQ card, I looked the organization up and it was very informative. Hope you had a wonderful Purim...for 12 years before I moved "back east" I was a secular teacher at Tucson Hebrew Academy and so enjoyed learning and participtaing in the Judaic holidays! I miss my community there!
Response: Glad you liked it. Thank you for the heart.
Comment: Thanks for your swap! I already put your card back in the mailbox together with my envelope for you for #22 of this series, in which you appear to be my partner :-D
Thanks for the extra card. It's lovely! I might use it in a future swap of this series!
Response: Glad you liked it. Thank you for the heart.
Thank you for the very nice postcard you sent me in celebration of Postcard Roulette and of Purim. Purim sounded like a lot of fun. Thank you also for your kind words.
Response: You're welcome, thank you for the heart.
Comment: I'm bummed to learn that the October Daye series seems to be heading downhill, but the fact that you still gave The Brightest Fell four stars gives me hope. But I'm sorry it was disappointing for you! Thank you for sharing your thoughts! â¤â¤â¤
Response: I rarely read book I dislike or might dislike. So my thoughts on book are mostly differ by half a star here and there. This book really made me sad, because October Daye used to be my most favorite UF. Now rhis spot reserved to Kate Daniels :)
Comment: What a delightful view of food in Israel! You had such a diversity of food over the week. Especially enjoyed seeing the homemade food on Saturday as well as the beautifully-presented food in restaurants.
Response: Glad you enjoyed my email. Thank you for the heart.
Comment: Ksenia your tree is bursting with decorations. It looks so loved. Reminds me of my own tree. I must count how many ornaments I have. Maybe not as many as you lol. Thankyou for sharing and I’m glad you are feeling better â¤ï¸
Response: Thank you, glad you enjoyed my tree. It so fun to count them :) I have tree new, so far. Hope the new year started well for you.
Comment: Thank you for your thoughts on Murder, Magic, and What We Wore, Ksenia. It sounds interesting to me! A YA or MG historical mystery with paranormal elements? Sign me up! :-) I'll go add it to my TBR as soon as I submit this rating. Thanks again for sharing!!! â¤
Response: It was a nice, read :) Thank you for the heart.
Comment: Hi Ksenia, last but not least, lol. Thank you for the Santa PC. Lovely postage stamps also. I watch Love actually every year too! I just watched it last night :) This time of year I'm terrible for the Hallmark Christmas romance movies...
Response: Wow, that's so cool! Me too, me too :) Glad you liked the card, thank you for the heart.
Comment: The Dragon with a Chocolate Heart is a middle-grade story?! I don't think I knew that when I picked it, but thank you so much for reading it! I love middle-grade books! (I've been known to enjoy them MORE than YA books!) So please excuse me while I run to put this book on my TBR! . . . Oh! Great review, Ksenia! Thank you so much for sharing!!! â¤â¤â¤
Response: Burgis writes excellent MG. I loved her Kat, Incorrigible series - Regency adventure with magic. Thank you for the heart.
Comment: Thanks for sharing A Murder in Time, Ksenia! I checked out this book on Goodreads and added it to my TBR. (I love the cover!) I don't know when I'll be able to read it, but hopefully I'll get to it someday! Thanks again for sharing!!! :-)
Response: You're welcome. I read the second book, which was even better and can't wait for the third :)
Comment: First off, I'm sorry to be rating you for this swap so late, Ksenia! Life has been intruding in a major way and I haven't been as on top of things as I'd like to be. But thanks for sharing! Ariah sounds like an interesting book. I added it to my TBR and might read it someday. I'm glad you enjoyed it! Thank you again for sharing! :-)
Response: Oh, I know about life too well right now :) Glad you enjoyed my review. Thank you for the heart.
Comment: Thank you for reading Midnight Riot by Ben Aaronovitch, Ksenia! I'm glad you enjoyed it, but I'm sorry you found several things to be annoyed about. I wonder if I'll notice those things on my reread? Because, I must admit, your thoughts didn't raise even the slightest of memories in me, though I KNOW I read that book! :-) Anyway, thank you for reading, and thanks especially for sharing your thoughts!!! :-) <3
Response: You're welcome, thank you for the heart. I hope you'll enjoy the re-read.
Comment: I got your cards and my cards on the same day! I love them and the extras that you sent for me!! I think it's great that you have a way to connect with your mom through sending the cards that she gave you, I know things like that help me feel closer to my dad <3. I will have yours in the mail as soon as I get some more stamps!!!
Response: You're welcome, thank you for the heart.
Comment: Hi Ksenia, thank you for the great Christmas PC. I always enjoy your PC's because you send great postage stamps :) Israel has beautiful stamps. Mooming sticker <3 Have a lovely day. Take good care.
Response: You're welcome, thank you for the heart. I'm glad you like Israeli stamps.
Comment: Ksenia! Look what my mother brought me from the post office today! Your First and Last Line postcard made it to me in just two weeks! I'm happily VERY surprised at how fast it made it to me. :-) That is the first line in Blackbirds? Curious... I really need to read that series. I think I'll buy it. :-) (The last line had me going "WHAT is what it is? What?!" lol) And you rode on that mechanical elephant? Wow! Thank you so much for sharing! â¤â¤â¤
Response: Glad you liked the postcard. The elephant was awesome. I wish I liked the book more and I agree it was an intriguing finishing line. Thank you for the heart.
Comment: Thank you for reading Blackbirds, Ksenia! I must admit, I find myself intrigued that it is "overly gory." Knowing that makes me eager to read it! I love darker books! :-) I'm sorry that it wasn't to your taste, though. Thank you for sharing! :-) <3 Oh! And I like the original cover art better, too! :-)
Response: Thank you for the heart. Usually I don't mind gory, I just need some joy between the bloody scenes, otherwise I get bored and find it hard to finish the book. The swap was the only reason I didn't switched my read to something else. But it still a very good thriller/Urban Fantasy book.
Comment: Thank you for the postcard - it finally arrived! :) I was really excited to get a postcard from Israel! The high holy days just ended, and during that time I always dream of going to Israel someday. Perhaps in the future I will knock on your door! Happy Swapping! ~Jen
Response: You're most welcome :) Glad you liked the card, thank you for the heart.
Comment: Thank you for the kind resend! You have read a lot of books--I'm blown away by all the detail you put into your log! I think I'll try reading some of these as well--thanks for the recommendations!
Response: Glad you enjoyed it. Thank you for the heart.
Comment: Thanks for the clever Christmas postcard. Santa and Frosty are sure enjoying a happy dance with the animals we associate with Christmas, I am struggling to realize that once we get to Oct. 1, Christmas is here if I merely blink once! Happy Swapping, PeggyO
Response: You're welcome. Me too... The time goes by so fast... I still feel like Christmas was over just yesterday.
Comment: I'm so jealous of your beach endeavors, I only went to the beach once this whole summer! It's been so cold there has been no point on going :( I'm happy you've enjoyed your time though, lovely photo!
Response: Well, I was there only 5 times... I wish I had more time for going to the beach... Thank you for the heart :)
Comment: Two books! They sounds like they were very good and that you enjoyed them a great deal. I love it when I find that a book hasn't ended, it just continues on. Thank you so much for the recommendations.
Response: You're welcome, thank you for the heart.
Comment: Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts on all the books in this Rachel Aaron series so far, Ksenia! I LOVE dragons, so I'm thrilled that you enjoy this series enough to recommend it. :-) I will have to see about reading book one soon-ish (hopefully within the next year). Thank you so much for sharing!
Response: You're welcome. I'm so happy we are doing this swaps :D Thank you for the heart.
Comment: Wonderful postcard; I'm honored to receive your artwork! And such a thought provoking illustration. I like her pose and the intensity of her interest off-frame. Many thanks for sharing your art.
Response: I'm so happy you liked it, thank you for the heart. And thank you for your kind words.
Comment: Thanks for your review of Wanderlust (and Grimspace!), Ksenia. I'm sorry that this series seems to be going downhill for you. From what you said, Sirantha Jax does not seem to be a good heroine for it. So. . . disappointing. Especially as the covers make it seem like it would be such fun to read! (I still might read them someday, just to see if I'll feel the same as you.) :-) Thank you for sharing!
Response: Thank you for the heart. The covers are the reason I started reading the series. I think it is classical example of the book everybody likes, except me. So may be you'll enjoy it yet :)
Comment: Wohoo, finally I'm holding the jinxed parcel in my hands! It's been a rough journey, but I love what you put together for me. The sunglasses are a hoot, and I adore the little bag. You're making beautiful things and I wish you the very best with your business. :) A little side note, though: Please remember to put the custom's declaration sticker on your next parcel to Germany - it would have gone through without trouble if it had that and was marked as a gift. ;)
Response: I'm so happy you like the stuff. I want yet again to apologize it took so long. I usually fill in the declaration, but this time the post office worker told me it is not necessary... Should not have listened to her :) Sorry for the inconvenience. Thank you for the heart :)
Comment: Thank you for the board, Ksenia! I will have to follow it and look at it in great detail later, when I'm more awake. But I can already tell you, I will definitely be adding some books to my TBR!!! :-) Thank you for sharing!
Response: Great! I'm glad you enjoyed my board. Thank you for the heart.
Comment: Thank you for the thoughtful and delightful Totoro postcard. What a great way to be greeted at my mail box! Very nice postage stamps, too, and I hope that the rest of the books in the Imp series proves as enjoyable as the first.
Response: Happy you liked the card. Thank you for the heart. The Imp series are fun so far - I finished the 2nd book last week.
Comment: I see Guardians, too and, and as expected it was really good :) I can't wait for next month so Spiderman is in cinemas!! Midburn and the market sound like a great place, I would totally attend :) I hope you made great sales!
Response: We did, thank you :) I saw Wonder Woman yesterday. Another great and fun movie! Thank you for the heart.
Comment: Thank you so much for reading A Demon Bound and reviewing it for me, Ksenia! I think I'll have to move up my reading of this book. I might not get to it this month, but come July? . . . :-) I'm glad you enjoyed it. (Everyone I know who read it enjoyed it!) Thanks again for sharing your thoughts!
Response: You're welcome, thank you for the heart. I really can't wait to read the next book. I think the series has potential. Funny thing: at some point Sam - the main character - gets Juicy Couture t-shirt and says 'Look, I'm Juicy!" . I almost bought the same t-shirt yesterday. Probably going to buy it anyway next week. I will be juicy too :D
Comment: Hi Ksenia! Thank you for the lovely pc and the share about your book! I am not into that type of book but that is what makes life interesting, folks having different tastes! Hugs, Happy Reading and Swapping! ;)
Response: You're very right :) Thank you for the heart. Glad you liked the postcard.
Comment: I'm sorry to hear that you lost your mother last year, Ksenia, but that is wonderful that so much of her jewelry is to your taste and that you wear it to be close to her. I find all of the pieces to be beautiful, too! Thank you for sharing! :-)
Response: Thank you for the kind words. This was not an easy year fir me. Glad you liked the jewelry. Thank you for the heart.
Comment: Belated thank you for the adorable orange tabby, Ksenia! Orange tabbies are among my favorite kinds of kitties, along with tuxedo, Siamese, calico, black, and blue :) I also love the gorgeous stamps you chose. Soni sounds like quite the gourmet =^_^= My Uling also likes dry food yet knows when my family is gathered together, it's time to eat; she sits patiently, waiting to sample some of our food ^_^ She especially likes shrimp tempura (removed from sushi rolls) and mushrooms removed from my pizza. Hope you and Soni are well! ♥
Response: Glad you liked it, thank you for the heart. Uling is so cute. My previous cat Kitty was a real gourmet. She loved "human" food and preferred spicy Asian and Indian cousins.
Comment: Hello Ksenia,
Thank you for your wonderful Book Questions--Your Opinion worksheet. You did an incredible job of thoroughly answering each question so I really knew about the book when I finished reading your comments. There might be some books I might be interested in reading.
Comment: Thank you for sharing. It sounds like you've had a lovely month. White strawberries sound nice and your costume looks fab. It's great you have such a popular stall. I'd love to sell my own hand made stuff someday (no idea what yet).
Response: You're welcome. Glad you enjoyed my email. Thank you for you kind words and thank you for the heart. The best part in selling our goods is to spot people at the next events wearing our accessories.
Comment: Ksenia! Guess what arrived TODAY!!! Your PC for this swap!!! I was so excited to see what I held in my hands. It took almost three months to get here, but. . .it's here! Thank you so much! I will look into the books you mentioned. The Medair Duology sounds intriguing! "High Fantasy with unusual Romance"? Sign me up! :-) Thank you for sharing!!! <3
Response: Wow, I'm wondering where those 2 postcard were all this time? What sites did they saw...? I glad you liked my recommendation. This book was a pleasant surprise. Little self-published gem. Well, the Romance perhaps not that unusual, but the HEA most definitely is.
Comment: Thanks for the nice card looking out into the ocean. What a hard working artist you are, and an interesting profile too. Regards Raoul & Jeanette.
Response: Glad you liked it. Thank you for the heart and kind words. (It's Mediterranean sea actually. I've been to 4 seas in my life, but never saw an Ocean... Not a big difference from the shore, I suppose )
Comment: Thanks for the tour of both your work cubicle and your craft space at home, Ksenia! I have to say, my first thought was "Wow!" Your work cubicle looks like an explosion of happy stuff happened in there! :-) Also, your cat is adorable! Loved the photos, thank you for sharing! (And I hope your Passover holiday was a nice one!) :-)
Response: Glad you liked the mail The work desk does look like explosion of toy/candy shop. It makes me so happy to have something so pink and joyful and unconventional at my serous grown-up job. My cat sends Meow to your doggy. Passover was great (lot's of food as with all Jewish holidays) Thank you for the heart.
Comment: Hooray! Your letter made it!! Thank you for your persistence in sending. I look forward to mailing you a reply. It was also kind of you to include the extra postcards! I hope the February reading log makes it soon!
Response: Glad it arrived at last. Thank you for the heart.
Comment: Ksenia---thanks for the terrific postcard of one of my favorite big cats. How I do love them! The book you are reading sounds interesting although I am not a fan of fantasy. I may have to give it a try with the one you are reading.
Response: Glad you liked it. Thank you for the heart. The book turned out as my new favorite UF series.
Comment: Thank you for this mix! So the songs were sung in 1.English, 2.English, 3.French, 4.Hebrew, 5.Arabic, 6.English, 7.Hebrew, 8.Hebrew, 9.Hebrew, 10.Hebrew, 11.Hebrew, 12.Hebrew, 13.Hebrew, 14.Hebrew & English, 15.Hebrew? Do you speak/understand all those languages? (Plus Russian???) :-) Thank you for sharing! I enjoyed all the songs, but especially the non-English ones. :-)
Response: Glad you enjoyed it. You're right about the languages.
Comment: Hi Ksenia, thank you for sharing pictures of your supermarket with me! It was a really fun tour! The chocolate milk in a bag seems very interesting! And it was funny to see the Alpro products! I'm allergic for cows milk, so I only drink soy/almond/coconut milk. Have a good day! Best Wishes!
Response: I started drinking Soy milk 2 years ago and I feel so much healthier. I still chocolate (cold and hot) with milk thought. Glad you liked the mail. Thank you for the heart.
Comment: Sorry for the incredibly late rating. I didn't realize that I forgot to rate you for this swap until I got an email from another partner. I just went back and read the email again which I DID get and had saved to my Swap-bot Emails folder. It seems you have the same type of bookcase as I do. Not very many books anymore and lots of knick knacks for sentimental reasons. I too seem to buy/get most of my books on my ereader lately. Thank you for sending your email to me and sharing your bookshelf. It is so interesting to get a peak into someone else's life. :) ♥ I really love the shelf of cookbooks in your kitchen. I, personally only own about 4 cookbooks..hehehe!
Response: Glad you enjoyed my mail. Thank you for the heart.
Comment: Tack för den vackra vykort, Ksenia!
Thank you for the beautiful postcard.
It is the first actual "New Year" postcard I have received - or seen, even.
I am all about fun and happiness. I wish you the same.
Response: Glad you liked. Thank you for the heart.
Comment: Hi Ksenia, thank you for the square PC. I loved all the beautiful flower stamps you used...brightened up my rainy day. I look forward to checking out the book recommendations. Blessings and have much joy.
Response: You're welcome. Thank you for the heart.
Comment: I really like your layout for your reading logs! I might adopt some of the way yours is to mine. = ) Daughter of the Empire sounds really good, I am going to look into getting my hands on it. I also put Masks and Shadows on my list!!!
Response: Glad you liked it. Masks and Shadows was one of 10 best books read in 2016. Thank you for the heart.
Comment: Ksenia! I finally got your Lists! The resend arrived today. Thank you so much! I really enjoyed reading your lists, quotes. . . And your review! Uprooted was/is a fun book. I might need to buy it, after all. :-) Again, thank you for sharing!
Response: Glad you got it in the end. Thank you for the heart. Uprooted stays the best book I read since 2015.
Comment: Thank you for sharing your list, it was a nice listen!
I've heard good things about Marina and the Diamonds, but never actually checked them out. This was a fun song though so I might finally look for more :)
Response: Glad you enjoyed it, thank you for the heart.
Comment: Yay, I have your card! Thank you, it is very pretty and I like the wreath sticker. Sounds like you read some great books last year, I'll have to check them out! Thanks, too, for picking out such nice holiday stamps for me.
Comment: Sorry for not rating earlier... Thank you! It was very interesting to read about your traditions. I'm very interested in everything Soviet related and I didn't know how all that affected celebrating New Year. Amazing :)
Response: Thank you. You're welcome. Thank you for the heart
Comment: Thank you for the adorable antlered bear/snowman bearing presents, colorful star stickers, adorable polar bears hanging stockings washi, lovely stamps (especially the Yom Kippur one!), and your kind greetings for Christmas and the New Year, Ksenia! I always look forward to seeing your mail in my box ♥ Hope 2017 is off to a good start for you!
Response: Happy you liked it. Thank you for the heart. This was a drawing by my friend turned into postcard by me request. The drawing itself was for Christmas exhibition in Moscow. Next year I will turn my drawing from that show into postcard :)
Comment: It finally got here !!! Thank you so much. Cute card. I still have my Christmas decorations up as we are having company this weekend and we will be celebrating our Christmas with them. So I'll just add your card to the rest. Thanks again.
Response: You're welcome. Thank you for the heart
I usually take my tree down around March...
Comment: I see you also read Seanan McGuire's Toby Daye series. Have you read the newest? I bought it, but haven't found the time to read it, yet. I love this series, though! :-) Great photos! Thank you for sharing!
Response: Yep, I did. Toby is mu favorite UF. My first actually :) And I totally have a crash on Tybalt :) Thank you for the heart.
Comment: Hi Ksenia! I thought this was part of our private swap--I had forgotten about this swap! Thank you for letting me know it would be in the mail a few days late. I hope you have had the chance to read more to your heart's content these past few weeks! And, thank you for your Alice in Wonderland PC!
Comment: Thanks for reading Brownies and Broomsticks, Ksenia. I have to say, from what you said it doesn't sound like my sort of book, either. (I'm with you on your love for bloody, sexy, Urban Fantasies!!! Have you read the Kate Daniels series? By Ilona Andrews? I HIGHLY recommend it.) I'm sorry you didn't love the book I picked for you, but I'll hope you love/d what you read next! :-)
Response: It wasn't bad, just not my thing. Oh... I LOVE Kate Daniels. Well, I love everything by Ilona Andrews actually. I live from Friday to Friday for the Innkeeper's sake :D Thank you for the heart, by the way.
Comment: Thanks for sharing, Ksenia! Most of your books are ones I've either heard of or read, so it was nice to hear your thoughts on them. :-) The one I'm most interested in reading is The Night Circus. You didn't like it; I have another friend who counts it as her most favorite book. . . I feel a need to read it for myself to see how I'll feel about it! :-) Thank you for sharing!
Response: Most of the people I know loved The Night Circus, I suppose I an oddity. Thank you for the heart.
Comment: Thanks so much for the list! Hitchhikers guide was the book I recommended. My ultimate guide stays next to the couch for easy any time reading. Cruel Beauty peaked my interest and I'm going to go find a copy to read. It sounds like something I'd really like.
Response: Hope you'll enjoy it. Thank you for the heart
Comment: Wow, awesome! I have an interest in Israel and so see thing is really cool. It is neat that you have a hipster area, LOL. I also love that you can have your washer out on the balcony!!! And Hello Kitty stickers...universal symbol of cute!
Response: Thank you and thank you for the heart. Washer on the balcony more problems than not: too hot in summer, too wet in winter...
Comment: Thanks for your reading log Ksenia - I'm glad you're back to normal with the amount you're reading - I know how hard it is when you feel like you're "behind" on your reading. Seems like a successful reading month!
Comment: this truly qualifies as above and beyond! I can understand why it needed extra postage. lol! It will take a bit to read all, but I will soooo enjoy it. Only started reading, but the rest later, I have to rate you now with no further delay since possible :) thank you for the postcard - it is gorgeous!!! and thank you for the tea as well. smells delicious! I looked a bit through you reads, I am really interested. I think I have to taken notes somewhere , for a list of what I want to read from all the great suggestions I got through these swaps.
Response: Glad you liked everything. Thank you for the heart. I love this swap so much.
Comment: I like my psotcard and yours so I am keeping both of them. lol Just kidding. Sadly the envelope you sent them in was torn open and damaged. I found two postcards inside, both a bit bent but not torn. :(
Response: I'm so sad to hear about the envelope... But I'm glad you liked the postcards. Thank you for the heart.
Comment: Wow, you got all sort of fancy with pictures and links! I might have to try that for next time. :) I've never read any Seanan Mcguire (though a bunch of Mira Grant, haha) but a lot of people in my reading group challenge read October Daye books because we needed the letter O. I've been inching closer to trying one since so many people give them good reviews. Hmmm.. Thanks much for the fancy email. Happy reading!!
Response: I love October Daye series, give it a try. Thank you for the heart.
Comment: Hi Ksenia, I love the card and the quote. I hear my own music every day that no others can possibly hear!!! lol
It's always nice to swap with you!
It's terribly hot here and I am looking so forward to autumn when the leaves fall and the temperature starts to fall.
With every good wish,
Response: You're welcome, thank you for the heart. Glad you liked it. Me too, can't wait till the winter.. Pity it'll be another 2-3 months of this weather.
Comment: I received your July Reading Log today! It looks like we enjoy some of the same types of books. I'm glad to hear that Paper and Fire is a good follow-up to Ink and Bone. I'll have to see about moving it up on my to-read list. :-) And that you like the Custard Protocol makes me want to read that series, too! Thanks so much for sharing! And thank you for the neat paper Matryoshka doll, too! :-)
Response: You're welcome, thank you for the heart. Glad you enjoyed it. I really can't wait for the last book of the Great Library. Did you read other books by Gail Carriger?
Comment: Thank you for the hand drawn PC. I enjoyed getting art made by you as the post card I got to keep as well as seeing more of it on your profile. The other two have arrive with such lovely notes and stickers and stamps. Very pleasurable swap and glad I met you.
Response: I'm glad to meet you too :D So happy you liked my postcard. Thank you for the heart.
Comment: Thanks for the great log and the bookmarks! You log in a way that's very similar to mine, so it made me smile :) also, it seems we have similar reading tastes, so I look forward to looking into some of the books you listed!
Response: Oh, I'm so happy you enjoyed it. Thank you for the heart.
Comment: Thank you! I love how you put different sections about each book. So easy to see all the important stuff. :) I put Masks and Shadows on my reading list. And, I'm sorry for your loss. I too had a family loss recently when my father died in June.
Response: You're welcome, thank you for the heart. Thank you for you kind words and my sincere condolences.
Comment: Thanks for your reading log for June! That's funny - "Third time - ice cream". We say "Third time's the charm". Well it was a pleasure to read your reviews again. I have had my eye on 'Poison Study' for a long time so I'm glad to know you enjoyed it. A good reading month for you, it seems! :D
Response: I suppose Israeli just love to eat :D Happy reading and swapping!
Comment: Huge hot air balloon! Thanks for the card and introducing a new book. :)
You can inform the paper shop owner that he did great job of cards making (that is, if you visit there again?). Cheers!
Response: So happy you like it, thank you for the heart.
Comment: Oh my, Ate Ksenia! You're my partner again! Oh wow! I just soooooo am happy! You know, I really like getting mail from Israel <3 They're just sooo awww for me.
I wonder how is your moving lately? Do you have all your stuff now?
Response: Sorry for the late response. I have all my stuff on place. My flat is really lovely and cute. Glad you liked the postcard, thank you for the heart.
Comment: Such a delight to read your reviews on the books you have read. I especially enjoyed the quotes you included for each...I might have to do that with my next reading logs. Thanks for a great idea!
Response: Glad you enjoyed it :D Thank you for the heart.
Comment: Thank you for the million book quote images on my profile! I especially liked "I'm glad I can talk to you about fictional characters as if they were real, and have you still think I'm sane." LOL!
Comment: I started Uprooted last year and just somehow didn't get around to finishing it. I keep wanting to though, I did enjoy the first half that I read. When she went to the city was when my attention waned a bit. I will give it another go. = )
Response: It gets better on the 3rd part. Thank you for the heart.
Comment: Ksenia, I'm not going to rate you down for sending late. Please accept my condolences for what must be a difficult time. I had my own family bereavement last year so I can empathise. I enjoyed reading your reviews for February! Thank you.
Comment: WoW The package was wonderful, lots of little goodies, I can always see Ksenia takes time to make my package special. She packs it well so everything arrives intact. I really enjoy our swaps! Thank you again
Response: Happy you liked it. Thank you for the heart. it took almost a year to respond to the ratings from that period of my life...
Comment: I loved checking out your reading log. I'm sorry that January wasn't a great month for you. Thank you for sharing, I added a book to my tbr and already had Ink and Bone on it so I can't wait to read it!
Comment: Thanks for your letter! The Alanna quartet is one of my favorite middle grade books. I agree with you, Sir Miles is one of my favorite characters, and a talking cat is never a bad thing. If you like that series, then check out PIerce's Immortals series, starting with Wile Magic. Alanna's in it, as a supporting character :)
Response: Thank you for the heart. It was a good series :)
Comment: It is great that You found a blogger whose taste in books exactly matches yours! :) I found 2 titles very interesting ... One good Dragon deserves another, & White Trash Zombie. Generally zombie grosses me out big time, & shuts my mind down :D I am gonna read these books, & without much "background research", it is gonna be fun reading only because of the titles :)
Response: Hope you had an opportunity ti read them and enjoy. Thank you for the heart.
Comment: Hi Ksenia :) Oh my God! That you so very much for the amazing Alice in Wonderland postcard! It's my first Alice postcard! Thank you so much :)That's so cool you love it too! :) I'm searching for a vintage Alice in Wonderland book... Have an Amazing day! Much love <3 Take care! :) xoxo
Response: Happy you liked it, thank you for the heart.
Comment: Nice swapping with you again as well. Sorry this took me awhile to rate. I finally was able to clean up my desk after the holidays and found your swap. Cinderella retellings are awesome. I hope yo see you in future swaps!
Comment: I had a plain black tee like that once. I swear- every time I wore it, someone would ask me if I'd lost weight! Hold on to that tee! Love the black and white image of the girl mid-jump. Happy and free! Best to you, Ksenia in 2016! -Rhonda
Response: Thank you for the heart. Still wearing it... :)
Comment: Hi Ksenia! What a fun ad/free pc and I think you are right, it looks like ice cream flavors - very fun! Did you do anything fun to ring in the New Year? Unfortunately I have been sick for several days, so I was in bed early - sigh! If there was any noise, I sure did not hear it! LOL! Wishing you and yours a Very Happy and Healthy New Year! Hugs and Happy Swapping! ;)
Response: Glad you liked the card. it took me a year to answer ratings from the hardest period of my life... But it's a new year upon us :) Thank you for the heart
Comment: THANK YOU Ksenia! I am putting that one on my reading list for sure! I had read Queen of the South by Arturo Perez-Reverte quite awhile ago and enjoyed it, The Flanders Panel sounds exactly like what I like, and lately I have been on a total Spanish kick anyways lol :D
Happy New Year!
Comment: Happy holidays to you too! I like snow out the window about once a year ;), well okay maybe enough to make a snowman on a day I don't have work - I'm not a cold person but I do think its pretty. Thanks for beautifying my profile
Response: The last time I saw snow was 4-5 years ago; and I didn't see real deep snow for 14... Thank you for the heart.
Comment: Interesting bits of this book! LOVE the stamp (I taught in Jewish nursery school for 5 years, in my twenties and I loved building the sukkah with the kids)! And the llama stickers! Be well. -Rhonda
Response: Glad you liked it, thank you for the heart.
Comment: Thanks for your reading log. I'll have to check out that Laini Taylor. I've read one of her other books, and I hated it, so I wonder if this will be any better. Also, glad to know about the Discovery of Witches that the romance is a big deal. I have it on audiobook, and have been wondering if I should listen to it.
Response: Thank you for the heart. I heard a lot about Laini Taylor books, but as I liked only one of three stories, I'm not so sure about her...
Comment: Thanks for the watermelons :-) We have a large foodmarket here too. With inside a big japanese supermarket, and many different restaurants. I love that market. Great to hear you have one too :-) Lovely stamp.
Response: Glad you liked the card, thank you for the hearty. There was a terrorist attack at Sarona Market last week... but it only brought more people to give their support to vendors at the market.
Comment: Thanks for your thoughts on the two books. The first one I picked doesn't sound like it was too great and I will probably steer clear of it now too. The second one sounds pretty good based on what you said so I will look into reading it. Thanks and happy reading!
Response: Thank you for the rating. Happy reading!
Comment: Hi Ksenia--thank you for your VERY weird card! You should know it took a very weird journey to get to me. I received it today, inside an envelope mailed to me from Riverside, California (about 6.5 hours southeast of me). There was a piece of paper that said "this was stuck to a card sent to me." I don't know if I was tired, but it took me a few minutes to figure it all out! Judee was so nice to forward it to me, I guess you sent her a card also? --And the cute little puffy stickers stuck the two together. I'm surprised no one in the postal services caught it! It all made for a very interesting postcard for me today, though. Thanks again!
Response: It's an odd story indeed :D I got PM from my other partner, to whom I sent postcard the same day as to you. The message title was "weirder swap" and it said that they came back from a trip and found stacked cards and will put other one to the envelope and will send it forward. It took me time, but when I finally understood - I laughed so much. It strange that nobody noticed - not here not at you country... I'm glad you liked the postcard, thank you for the heart :0
Comment: Thanks for your list. I've only ever read Neverwhere of your favorites, though Flander's is on my TBR. I'll get to it at sometime. :) Hope you enjoy the books you read next!
Response: You're welcome, thank you for the heart. I was studding Decadence at the Academy, while I was reading The Flanders Panel, so it worked amazingly well together. And I really love The Ninth Gate movie, which loosely based on this authors other novel.
Comment: Thanks for your log! Awesome that you loved most of your books. Sorry you didn't like Throne of Glass, that stinks cuz I'm needing to read it this month for a pick for me type thing. We'll see what I think!
Response: You're welcome. Thank you for the heart. I hope you'll have better reading experience with Throne of Glass. I would like to hear you thoughts.
Comment: Hello KSENiA (Ksenia from Israel). I got you colorful envelope today! Thank you so much for the 3 different tea bags. I wish to give your more than one heart. Have a great mail week and Jewish Happy Holidays, maria das trouxas :D
Response: I'm so happy you liked the teas. Thank you for the heart and thank you for doing this swap with me.
Comment: Thank you for your 10x10 bookish lists ! You love fantasy like I do so I know I'll be saving some great books to my TBR list when I comb through I properly and start reading the descriptions =]
Response: You're welcome :) Thank you for the heart.
Comment: Hi Ksenia! Great to hear from you and what a wonderful ad/free card! I have not found something like that at any of the clothes shops around here - must be looking at the wrong places! LOL! Hugs and Happy Swapping! ;)
Response: Glad you liked the card, thank you for the heart.
Comment: It still makes me so sad you disliked Night Circus so much. But you and I do agree on 50 Shades of Crap. It's NOT BDSM and I hate that people think it is, and that's their first look into it. :(
Response: I too hate that people like it... I truly don't get it. Thank you for the heart.
Comment: Thanks for sharing all of that! I used to read a lot more Fantasy than I do now, but I do still enjoy it. I think "The Wheel of Time" was one of the best series ever. 8-)
Response: I so agree with you about WoT! I barely remember time when I was not reading it waiting for the next one to come out.. Still unable to get used to the idea that it's over.. :D Thank you for the heart.
Comment: I was sooooooo sad to see that you didn't like The Night Circus ~ my all time FAVORITE book in the world. I loved everything about it, especially Bailey. He was my favorite. I'm glad you enjoyed the rest of your books.
Response: I still think it might be a great movie... Thank you for the heart.
Comment: Ksenia, thank you very much for the turtle express postcard! I love the quotation by Nabokov... actually it took my breath away! I will send you a photo by my father and you will understand why!!! :-)
Response: I'm so happy you liked it, thank you for the heart. I got your photo, it was absolutely awesome! :)
Comment: Ate Ksenia... I am just so happy that your postcard arrived! I really thought that it got lost in the mail, or something. Anyways, getting mail from Israel always make me smile. It's like the number one country for me :D :D
The stamps were just so lovely btw and I really love this square card. I wonder how were you able to get such a card...?
Response: Glad you liked it, thank you for the heart. The postcard comes from my favorite toy shop. I buy lot's of paper goods there.
Comment: I got your postcard last week :D Sorry for not rating before, but I love it!!! It is one of my favorites postcards I ever got!!! And I love love love how you decorated the back too! It made me really happy, thank you!
Response: Glad you liked it, thank you for the heart.
Comment: You give a lot of thought to the things you read (and I thank you for the extras as well). I don't read this kind of writing and have no sense how long these books are and never heard of steampunk stories before. Gee, I wish you were reading literary books and giving them that much brain power. But, unlike many people, you ARE reading.Good,
