Comment: Hi Susan, I received your postcard today. Thank you! I'm going home to Michigan for a month to help my mom and sister move. I'm a bit sad that the Holidays will be different this year but you're right. We will make the most of it.:)
Comment: Thank you for the beautiful letter of flowers! It was bright and cheery! Swapping is what keeps me focus on positive things, too! Thank you for the nice post cards for my collection. It was nice to hear about the paint by number project.
Comment: I love parrotfish for the same reason. They are so naturally colorful. I actually like the shape of their beak. I think it is interesting how nature (evolution) "recycles." Nature doesn't make new things; it uses what is already made and improves. 😊 Stay healthy and safe.
Comment: Thank you for the beautiful card!❄️. Glacier Bay looks like it would be breath taking. I yet to get to Alaska. I know many people who have been and they have such beautiful pictures. Have a great day and happy swapping.
Comment: Thank you for the beautiful postcard of Dana Point. We have a nice harbor along the Willamette River but they don’t really have lights up on the boats unfortunately. Hope you are having a good week :)
Comment: Thank you so much for the beautiful postcard of Tahoe! It's always great to spend time with family, especially now when we have been apart so long. Have a wonderful day and stay safe!
Comment: Thank you so much for the wonderful Denver PC! Colorado is on my bucket list. There are so many beautiful places in our country to explore I don't need to go out of the country. I'm just ready for things to open up enough that we can go exploring right here. Have an awesome day and stay safe!
Comment: Thank you for the Gettysburg postcard. I have been there once and the whole town smells like KFC chicken since there is one right next door to the battlefield. It is very cool and the historical center is super educational.
Comment: Your pretend vacay sounds lovely! I been to the Big Island once, and it was amazing! I didn't get to stay as long as I'd have liked, and would love to go back! Thanks for the break from a hot AZ summer!
Comment: Hi Susan! Thanks so much for the pc - we have never been on a cruise and this point does not seem likely for a very long time - sigh! Something I would like to try someday, if we ever get to travel that way again! Wishing you all the best and please stay safe! Hugs and Happy Swapping! ;)
Comment: Received the swap today. I must comment on your neat writing, I could never write for that long and keep it so neat. I really enjoyed reading your letter, there's a few things I can relate to in it and it allowed me to get to know you a bit better as we've done many swaps over the years. My one thing with doors is that I have to make sure it's locked, I used to have to go back and check 10 times. I'm getting better now and only do it three times. It's weird how our minds work with us and why we obsess about some things for no reason at all. Covid is doing a bit of a come back here, but very minor. Its first round we had 65 cases in all of Northern BC, a very minor amount, 5 people were in hospital (non in ICU) and 1 person passed away. We had more of an impact when the Norwalk virus went around. Some people wear mask, but not many. Sadly it feels like more people are dying because they are not getting surgeries that they need because our hospitals have basically closed down I case there's a outbreak in corvid cases - but you wont hear to much about that on the news. If we didn't have it on the news all the time I'd say people are pretty much done with it - but I will say, happily I see more people washing there hands and using sanitizer 😁. Stay healthy and keep safe.
Comment: Hi there Susan! always a pleasure to receive a postcard from you. I love the horses from kentucky postcard!!! ahh I can't wait to go back and visit someday. I am also staying VERY busy at home :) Hope you are well, Micaela
Comment: Thank you much for the beautiful Hawaii waterfall PC! Lucky you, Got to go to Hawaii! Envy anyone who has been there, ha! My mom was there in 1982 to Oahu for a week. I couldn't go,as couldn't time off from work. That sucked! Thank you so much for joining my swap.
Comment: Thank you very much Susan, for the awesome lighthouse PC! Like you, I would so love to see the East Coast lighthouses! In my dreams! Don't know when we'll ever get to go vacationing Again. I so miss being able to travel. But the historic Georgia lighthouses built in 1848 is something I'd die to see! I love history!
Comment: Hi Susan! Thanks for the postcard! We have the same thing going on here in Michigan -- the schools haven't even put out a final plan yet, but they're saying we have to choose online or in-person school by Aug. 11. My 3 kids are mixed on whether they want to go back or not. It's a tough decision! Enjoy your art and books -- I sure am! :)
Comment: Hi Susan, thank you for the lovely waterfalls postcard. I lived in Athens GA for a year, and yes, Atlanta IS an interesting city. When I was there it had high pollution/ smog & traffic. I bet that’s eased somewhat since the late 90’s. Take care & keep cool ;)
Comment: Thanks for your long letter on the pretty stationary, telling me how you're coping with this pandemic. You have enough interests so you aren't bored. That's good. Me too. And Swapbot letters, both writing and receiving are part of the balance.
Comment: Thanks for the card! I read Moby-Dick a few years ago and, while some of the minutiae about whaling bored me, the narrative itself was engrossing for sure. As it happens I'm currently reading The Scarlet Letter by Melville's neighbor and friend Hawthorne!
Comment: Thanks for the card--grew up in Texas so stuff from there always makes me so happy! I'm glad you're having fun with book clubs! I've been a devoted reader for my entire life (majored in English in college) and I am also a member of one through my local college alum group--it is indeed lots of fun!
Comment: Thank you so much for sharing your list with me and the extra goodies too! :) I also have read "Carrie and Me" by Carol Burnett. If you haven't already, go to youtube and search for the video of Carrie singing "To See Your Face Again." It is beautiful and heartbreaking at the same time. She left this world too soon. Stay safe and be well!
Comment: Thank you for the lovely Castle Hill Lighthouse postcard! Yes, the summer is very quiet for me too with my vacation plans all cancelled because of the coronavirus. I'm trying to stay positive and focus on the good things, hope you are too :)
Comment: I am an avid postcard collector/ sender / receiver, well basically I love postcards, and so I was over the moon to get 3 lovely CA postcards. Then after I read the letter they were even more meaningful. I enjoyed reading about how you are spending your days, both before and during the virus situation. I have always wanted to try Bingo so I am going to put it on the bucket list for when things open up again soon. Hoping you can get back to Bingo also
Comment: Thank you for the lovely PC. I would love to see your watercolors sometime. There is a fun swap called Stickers and a Sketch by @littlepinecone. I have done several rounds of it and highly recommend if you get a chance.
Comment: Thank you for the Lake Cumberland card. We have a smaller man made lake close to where I live that would be really nice to live by but it has no lakefront living. We used to go fishing and camping there a lot. That is something I miss since my husband passed in 2011.
Comment: Thank you for the great card. I actually live near Cumberland Gap National Park. We have only been there once and this overlook was closed due to snow when we went. I hope to go back again soon!
Comment: Thanks for the postcard! My library is open, so I'm working full-time. My weekends are definitely a lot more open since we aren't going out at all, though. We're avid board gamers, so we've been gaming more and I've been doing swaps, which has been a lot of fun!
Comment: I LOVE getting postcards from you b/c you always write a nice long paragraph to read and your writing is beautiful. Too bad I didn't know about balboa Park in San Diego a few years ago when I was coming to CA all the time to see my little granddaughter. I know now, though, and can go there if I ever get back out that way!
Comment: Thanks for the card. I really like Kentucky--didn't get to Fort Knox but Mammoth Cave and beautiful state parks are fun. If you get a chance (will there be an end to the pandemic?), it's worth a trip.
Comment: Hi Susan! Thanks for the great lighthouse postcard. My boyfriend and I actually went to a couple of the beaches along Highway 101. Thankfully there weren’t a lot of people out this year. It was very low key and I quite enjoyed it. Hope you all managed to find something fun and relaxing to do :)
Comment: Hi Susan, Thank you so much for the Royal card … I LOVE it!! I too have been staying home and doing the same as you - reading and art projects. I hope you get to travel again soon. Have an awesome day!
Comment: Hi Susan 👋 I received your lovely vintage Maine postcard today. How wonderful you have been able to chat in zoom book clubs. I’ve just spent a couple of days in Daylesford relaxing. It was nice to finally feel a little normal again. Take care, Jodie x oh and p.s thank you thank thank you for the hand cancelled postmark. I don’t get them very often from USA. 🙏
Comment: Thank you for the beautiful hibiscus postcard. You are lucky that you are in a zone that can grow hibiscus. There are several plants that I wish we could grow here in WA state, but our climate is to cold. I'm glad you can enjoy though! Take care!
Comment: I would also love to go to Hawaii! I have a friend who moved to Maui a few years ago and she has been trying to get me out there for a visit ever since lol but the flight is so long and I'm nervous about it. Someday, I'll get there!
Comment: Love the card - I have it too. Moose are my fav, but the Loon (the duck you referenced) is the Minnesota State Bird. They have a unique sound and its great to be by one of our many lakes and hear their calls! Thanks so much.
Comment: Thank you for the great postcard! I would love to live in San Diego. 74 and sunny, 364 days a year, says my great uncle, who has lived there most of his life. I was born and partially raised about 100 miles North of San Diego. I have siblings and family that still live out West, I really should visit more. :-). Have a great day and Happy swapping!
Comment: Thanks for the card! I've been reading, watching movies, doing jigsaw puzzles. If I knew I was going to be out of commission for 3 months, I would have written a book. Just finished a good book about the camels that the US Army imported from Egypt in 1858.
Comment: Thank you for the postcard Susan. Well, right now I don't think we'll be back to "normal" at least not in the US, not only for COVID but for the current racial tensions. I hope change comes soon and we all make the states and the world a better place! Take care and stay safe!
Comment: Thank you for the Multnomah Falls postcard. Obviously this is one of my favorite places since it isn’t far from me. Your little waterfall in your pool sounds great. I need to go hiking soon to see some natural beauty.
Comment: Thank you so much for the card from Denver! Like you, I've had to turn the news off -- DC and the surrounding area where I am has been hard hit, too. Things are finally starting to settle down. Stay safe and healthy!
Comment: Thank you for the Vermont postcard. I LOVE all things fall and New England is probably one of my favorite things. I want to take the same trip you are talking about. I hope to do it soon too. It’s really beautiful. I spend hours on Pinterest looking at fall things.

Comment: Thank you for the Chicago postcard. My husband has been there for work but I never have. I'd love to go and see the sites. Seeing fireworks in the boat sounds like a wonderful memory. Thanks again!
Comment: Thank you for the Waikiki postcard and trivia. I did not know that an octopus has 3 hearts. I'll have to share that with my grandsons, although they probably will say they already know it! Thank you!
Comment: Thank you so much! Your lists were fun to read through, and I adored the extras. Sorry it took so long to rate, I went on a short trip to my hometown and because of the virus, had to stay there longer than intended.
Comment: Hi Susan! Didn’t get a card for this swap but it’s no big deal. You already had to do a resend for that animal postcard swap so don’t worry about it (: I sure wish the mail wasn’t so sketchy. I’ve never had so many problems with having to resend or request people to do so. Take care!
Comment: Adorable puppy PC! I wish I could have a Yorkie... they are so adorable! I would also love to have cats again... unfortunately, my allergies are so horrific now I would never survive it :-( Take good care of those little furry ones :-)
Comment: Thank you for the beautiful giraffe postcard. They have such beautiful patterns. That would be amazing to have breakfast with the giraffes and be able to feed them. We stayed at Animal Kingdom in Disney World and the giraffes were right outside of our room but didn't get real close to you. You could also go on a photo tour. They would take you through the animals in the back of an old pick up truck. I regret that we didn't do the tour.
Comment: (Ok so—-sorry for the late review!! :( )
Thanks for everything in this envie! I feel like you went above and beyond to send profile-specific things for me. Direct swap with ya anytime! Until next time.. stay safe keep smiling... or something haha stay safe! Seducing positive vibes n all that shiiiiiite... ;)n

Comment: Thank you for the Hummingbird pc. I have seen hummingbirds at feeders... they are really fun to watch! We used to have an occasional Humaris (Hummingbird moth) come to our petunias by our pool when we lived in NE. I hope your replanting goes well, and that you get a lot of hummingbirds!
Comment: Loved the lighthouse postcard. Portland, Maine is definitely on my bucket list. I could take a whole vacation to Maine just to explore the lighthouses, go on a lobster hunt/feast, and pick blueberries. Sounds great doesn’t it?
Comment: Hi Susan! Thanks for the great postcard from the San Diego Zoo. Tigers are so pretty. I seem to miss them every time I go to the Oregon Zoo since the habitat is a far walk. I mostly spend my time at the otter habitat lol.
Comment: Hello again! Thank you for the cute owl postcard. And yes, without everyone driving it is helping the environment. My niece in VA had $1 off a gallon of gas and it ended up being 76 cents a gallon. Gas is cheap, but we have no where to go. Stay safe!
Comment: Thank you, Susan, for a great swap. We have A momma cat and three of her babies we found in my garden three years ago, and adopted one more from foster care! The yellow cat on the postcard looks like my favorite of the five!
Comment: How awesome would that be?? I also love knitting. And spinning. I don't crochet much but I can do it in a pinch. Are you on Ravelry? I'm BentNeedleKnits over there. :) Take care and stay safe!
Comment: Thank you for the resend of Bryce Canyon!!! Not sure why the first PC never arrived either, but the effort to send a new one are much appreciated! I too, would like to someday hike in this area to see all the hoodoos! 😉
Comment: Thank you so much for the lovely Victoria PC! We went there many years ago and I intentionally left my purse in the car on the American side of the sound never thinking I might need my ID to get back. I almost had a permanent home over there. LOL! Fortunately it was way before 911 and they let my husband claim me with a strong warning. Have a great day and stay safe!
Comment: Hi Susan! Thank you for the Las Vegas postcard and nice message. I'm sorry your Bingo tournament got cancelled, and hope that you will be able to in August. I've never heard of Bingo tournaments but they sound like fun. Take care and stay safe!

Comment: Thanks for the Space Needle postcard and sharing your S answers. Even your name worked with this one :) Social media... what a great answer for something George Washington would be surprised with.
Comment: Thank you for the cute bear cub postcard. Reminds me of the bears we've seen when we've gone Glacier Park. They are usually little black dots until we look through binoculars or a camera lens, which is as close as I want to get to them in the wild! Hopefully, you will be able to go to the zoo soon! Take care!
Comment: Hi again Susan! Thank you for the Mackinac Light House PC. Always thought it would be fun to live at a lighthouse, or at least try it. I like your collection list. I have a collection of snowmen that I put out during the holidays. Thanks again! Stay safe!
Comment: Thank you for your post card. I am sorry that all your beaches are closed. I understand the longing to hear the waves crashing. We live near a park on the water and only the parking lot is closed so those of us in walking distance can still go and listen to the waves, I did on Sunday.
Comment: Your card really makes me wish i could knit!! Love it. I can crochet though. Have you done loom knitting. Im trying that now. So we will see how that goes. I also started diamond painting. Its fun.
Comment: Hello Susan, I am so thankful for our 4 kitties to keep us loved and comforted too. We raised our cats from kittens, so they are really loveable and give us lots of kisses and cuddles. Take care and stay safe. <3
Comment: I put wine in several rooms and go bar hopping at night. LOL. I just ventured out to the fabric shop to get stuff to make masks. My first one was made out of a bed sheet. First time out in almost 2 weeks. Must. Go. To. The. Grocery. Store.
Like I need something more to do. I have so many unfinished projects now. No sense of urgency or motivation. Ya know? Keep safe.
Comment: Thank you for the Ventura postcard. It sounds like you are in the same status as us. Our stay-at-home just got extended to May 4. Guess that means more time for making masks and swapping. Good luck on learning Hebrew!
Comment: Thank you so much for the lovely Easter card and treats. It's such a stress holiday time! We'll be home with just the immediate family. I will be thinking of you and hoping you are safe and well.
Comment: Thanks for the all around pretty swap -- the paper you used is really lovely and I really like the artist postcards. You're generally positive answers were appreciated and if you haven't heard, the Dali Lama says if he is asked to give one bit of advice, it's Be Kind -- which you are.
Comment: Thank you so much for the sweet letter and the inserts! I am so very sorry to rate this so late -- you letter was placed into my tote bag that I never use and I just found it. I am so very sorry, but wanted to be sure to rate it!

Comment: Thank you for the cute Black bear cub card. The black bear exhibit at out little zoo is close to the corner of 2 busy streets. In the middle of the habitat is a tall dead tree that he likes to climb. It is fun to see him sleeping on the limb when we stop at the stoplight coming from the north or the east.
Comment: I love this postcard, thank you so much! I've actually visited the Ozarks once, albeit briefly, midway through a roadtrip. It's such a lovely place that so many don't know of! This reminds me I really must go back one day.
Comment: OMG, Thank you for the PC of beautiful horses! I love them! I used to have 2 Arabian horses when I was a teen. Had to give them up. Because we kept having droughts, frown! I still miss them to this day.
Comment: Thanks for the lovely PC.
We have black bears in Maine. We get along pretty well with them in the rural areas. Just don't corner one or get between mom and cub and they will generally avoid humans.
We do loose the occasional bird feeder or trash can to them. I'm sure that if they got into town it may be a different deal.
Comment: Thank you for San Francisco,CA PC. I also am worried about the Corona Virus. I won't even travel into NY & that's where one of my children w/ grand child live. But since you said, you don't want to travel by car or plane. Have you thought of Train?
Comment: Thank you for the dolphin card. They remind me of the ones that we swam with when we took our Carrabean cruise in 2012. I often wondered what happened to them as the place they were was severly damaged in a hurricane a few years ago.
Comment: Thank you Sue for awesome Caribbean PC and your list you would have to visit. Nice list! I have been to South Carolina ( Myrtle Beach) and Quebec Canada. Both are beautiful & so want to see them again.
Comment: Hello Susan -- thanks for your list and the bonus postcards :) I've seen (and enjoyed) a lot of films on your list. I used to be a film critic, so I saw a LOT of movies. These days, I just watch what I want to watch, and not everything that comes out, haha.
Comment: So lovely!!! I’m definitely going to use this as my summer watch list because I can tell we have the same taste in movies! And the Hollywood postcards were such a sweet (on theme) extra! Thank you so much!!!

Comment: I finally got your card today. I like it very much. I don't know where it was for the last 10 days. I have informed delivery from the Post office and they scanned the back and said it would be delivered on the 8th. I never got it so I reported it to them and it finally showed up today.
Comment: Thank you for the Netherlands Castle postcard. It pairs well with the windmill postcard, in making me want to visit. I have been to a handful of countries in Europe, but have yet to make it to the Netherlands. Good luck on getting to go there yourself.
Comment: Susan,Thank you! I love the card you sent me. The sparkly heart “flowers” are so cute! The message is perfect. Enjoy your Valentines dinner.. I’m going to get my roommate flowers so I can enjoy them too! We’ll probably order something and pick it up. It’s tourist time here and everyplace is crowded. We’ll watch a some mushy movie !
Comment: My favorite place in the Caribbean is Cozumel so far...the water is just so clear blue! The airport/beach in St Martin would be cool to see..I’ve been to VI but didn’t know about this beach until after my cruise there.
Comment: Thank you for the beautiful card you sent from Maine of the moose ... I love it! I'm sorry you didn't get to see any while you were there (actually I had no idea that they had moose there! lol) That's as bad as Kentucky being known for horses and while I was there, I never saw a one of them. Disappointing, for sure!
Comment: Hello Susan -- thank you for the packet of great stuff. Always love getting more postcards,a nd thank you for the generous inclusion of stamps :) You can be sure they will get used.
All the best, al
Comment: Love the pretty flowers! I have houseplants and I have to keep my birds away from them too. Of course, the minute you tell them no and move them away from it they become determined to get to them. Animals! LOL
Comment: Love the postcard! My mother grew tulips for years. She has been gone 12 years, but every spring there will be a tulip or two that will pop up in a flower bed. My dad will always cut them and put them in a vase in the kitchen. So sweet!

Comment: Hi Susan,
Your such a good mom and you should take that cruise! Lotto is one way but your right I wouldn't hold my breath either. Let him know he shouldn't ruin his credit score at such a young age that will follow him throughout his life. I know he is your son, but he's old enough to take responsibility. Work study is something all campuses have. I put myself through college and worked at the same time, a lot people make it work and he shouldn't burden his you, his parent so. Good luck on such an uphill battle.
P.s. the card you sent is so gorgeous!
Comment: I agree, the weekend needs to be longer. I wish I had a bingo day! They have bingo at the local elk's Lodge and I keep meaning to go but I'd need childcare and just the thought of arranging that is exhausting.
Comment: Hi Susan! I love, love, love your eagle pc! I would have loved to have seen that in Alaska! Did you get some awesome photos? I love trying to get good photos of eagles - they are so beautiful! Thanks for making my day! Hugs and Happy Swapping! ;)
Comment: Thanks for the pretty card. Sorry for the late rating, I just found a pile of unopened cards and packages in my guest room closet. My roommate had a guest and I think that’s how it happened, but it felt like Christmas to me!
Comment: Ur Christmas gift story made me think about my phone 📱 my hubby didn’t believe me when I told him my phone was messing up until it became frozen and he had no Choice but to buy me a new one. Happy swapping
Comment: Thanks for the great CA PC! I have visited there a few times, once on duty with the National Guard, once for a wedding for one of my co-workers, and once as my DH and I were driving our son's and DIL belongings to CO. Beautiful place! Hugs from Alaska, Sherry

Comment: What a pretty card and such a fun story about your Christmas day as a child. Sounds like fun. We did the erly morning stocking thing too. I think it was a great ploy so parents could get a few minutes extra sleep. Thanks Susan and Merry Christmas.
Comment: Hi Susan. I think you have some great ways to relieve stress! I totally forgot to put Hallmark Christmas Movies on mine. They are definitely one of the stress relievers I use, too! Merry Christmas!
Comment: Thank you for the unique Christmas PC of Santa. You aren't the only one who will miss a child on Christmas. Is sad. But my oldest daughter with 2 grand children can't make it up. Her husband has to work. And, My 4th child son can't make it up either, due to work. Don't when I'd see either of them either. I have 2 sons who live with us and another daughter with a daughter who will be here. Try to have a wonderful Christmas Susan!

Comment: Thank you! I can’t wait to open it.
Update: The Snowman card is so cute! There was a movie on your list that I don't think I've seen, The Bishop's Wife. I might have to look that one up. I lie Christmas Vacation and Elf. LOL. Thanks for the postcard, tag and stickers. Have a bless and wonderful Christmas!

Comment: Thank you for the Santa card and bookmark. I don't really have any plans for the holidays. Will see most of the grandkids and great grands but there are a couple of them out of town and don't know if they will make it back or not. It is just not like it was in the past. At least we can all keep in contact through facebook.
